Hotel is just a few minutes walk from the closest train station. There are some convenience stores around. Pretty good room size for 2 adults with 2 large suitcases. Room and washrooms are clean too. Comfortable bed and pillows.

Great little hotel in a location with good access to many parts of Nagoya via the subway. Staff were very helpful and patient with our lack of Japanese. The room was simple, clean and well-equipped.

We like the hotel overall. Stayed for one night. It is a 200m walk to Fushimi Subway on the Higashiyama line, a direct connection to JR Nagoya (one stop away) or if you're heading to the Ghibli Park, you can also take this line. There is an elevator so no worries if you're carrying suitcases. A short nice walk to Mori no Chikagai (the underground izakayas/bar and eateries). If you're thinking of trying the Nagoya ell - I'll recommend the Hisumabushi restaurant Unaki Charcoal-Grilled Unagi Restaurant Nagoya Main Store, Japan, 〒460-0003 (charcoal grilled unagi) about 550m away. Location-wise it is excellent. The room itself is clean, not big like most hotels. You can get the amenities you want at the lobby. I'd come back when I'm in Nagoya again.

Value for money hotel. The staff were all attentive you may not see them at the counter but they are swift when you approach the reception counter and you don't know what to do. Like when I need to change coins for the laundry. In seconds the staff appeared in front of me and guide me how to use the coin changer. The hot water was instantaneous which I really appreciate this winter season.

Location wise, the hotel is just steps near the train station when you are coming from Nagoya but going back to Nagoya is a pain. Not the fault of the hotel but I really don't like the layout of the train station.

The breakfast was very good; excellent variety of set options to select from (Japanese or Western). Coffee was plentiful & excellent; tea & apple juice available also. Breakfast provider seems to be a cohesive separate business partnership with the Hotel.

As stated in another reviewer's review, a little difficult to recognize the Hotel's entrance from the restaurant front signage 'Hachi' where breakfast is served. The Hotel check-in is on the 2nd floor and a physical receptionist isn't immediately present to receive guests. Hotel utilizes technology for advance self check-in process and other in-room functions & applications. There are representatives available to assist eventually; just took some time & getting used to exceptions normally experienced with hotel procedural norms.

Convenient location just 2-3 mins walk from Fushimi station, but travelers with big & heavy luggage may find it challenging (there are lifts available from the station but need to take a longer route). Hotel is located in between Nagoya station and Sakae, which is a plus point. Fushimi station also provide direct route to Ghibli Park. Our room is spacious, with 2 double bed + a sofa bed. There are umpteen space to open up 3 luggage. The LG Styler closet style cleaning machine is super useful. We use it to freshen, sanitize or dried our clothes. Washing machines are available at 2nd floor, you can view their availability from the TV in your room which is very convenient.

We've stayed for 5 nights, but the hotel only provide "complete cleaning" every 3 days. Which means, throughout our stays, only one proper cleaning has been performed. On the other days, the cleaner generally just replace the towels, make up the bed and throw the trash. there was one day we returned to our room and realize the plastic bag for the trash bin was not put properly while the bin lid was put on the chair.

Well located, 7-11 within 100m each direction, room suitable for two people, clean, new and fresh. Got two rooms for family of 4 and they put us next to eachother. Not expensive, very good value for money.Bathroom clean, window opened, individual air con! Beds comfortable. Two washer/dryers on 2nd floor at reception, 800 yen for 2 hour wash/dry cycle. Self serve check in and out. 100m from subway.

Breakfast was not nice. Offered Western, Japanese and Nogoya at little cafe next door. Chose Western - cold quiche, two little chipolatas, lettuce, rice bread, coffee tasted awful and was lukewarm. Window open resulted in pressure situation and sounded like a vacuum cleaner on in hallway. Loud and annoying.

The location was good and a few minutes from the nearest station. The hotel and room were both clean and comfortable. Our room was quite spacious for two people compared to hotels we stayed at previously during our trip. We did not have a view but the room and the amenities made up for it. The hotel has a nice coin laundry and dryer that has key code lock on the 2nd floor that you can see when its available to use on the TV from your room. The hotel also has small lockers and can hold your luggage if needed even after check out for a bit. The 2nd floor has a vending machine and a place to read manga too. For the price the value we got out of stay was definitely well worth it and we would book again!

We were not used to self check out and had some problems since our passports were not being scanned properly from he machine and needed to wait for the staff to help us.

The staff were very friendly, and spoke some English. The location was so convenient, next door to Fushimi metro, one stop from Nagoya main station. Walking distance to Oasis21, Don Quixote, and several parks. Lots of good restaurants within 5min walk. I liked having a reading light and headboard light. There was a steam closet in the room!

There was a small step up into bathroom, which can be dangerous if using toilet during the night. The bathroom had a minor sewage smell. No shelf to put luggage, and folding rack was small

We selected Henn na because of its proximity to Fushimi station as we needed to access the subway system. Henn na was only 100m from the entrance to the subway. The breakfast choices were fantastic. Western style and let's face it when you travel to Japan how could you NOT opt for a Japanese-style breakfast at the restaurant downstairs - the Nagoya Set. Both breakfast menus were very generous in the size of their servings and with access to free options like fruit juice, tea, coffee and of course rice, and raw egg! The room facilities were comfortable, the bathroom and bedding served our purpose as we stayed only 1 night but on TWO occasions. Would we stay there again? DEFINITELY! as it was away from the hustle and bustle of Nagoya's main station and yet within a 35-minute stroll or a 5-minute subway trip.
