Our twin bed room was a bit smaller than expected, but there was enough space for our luggage, and it was clean, brightly lit, and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was very good. Bus stops for the bus into Victoria, or to the ferry at Swartz Bay, are just a minute or two walk from the motel, which was very convenient for us. There is also a lovely park with two lakes and lots of walking paths through the woods just across the highway. We would definitely stay here again.
The only drawback was the noise from the nearby highway. Our room was close to the office and I believe as far away from the highway as one can get. The earplugs provided by the motel blocked out most of the traffic noise and we both slept well.

the front desk was quick with paperwork and keys, the place was clean and comfortable with free and easy parking on site, we had two rooms, the twin room has two twins, a dorm fridge and coffee maker, small shower in small bathroom, fine for a night! the queen room is twice the size but the bathroom is still small, it has two queens, a full kitchenette with regular fridge/freezer, hotplate, sink, and a few things to cook with and eat off of, would have been easy to spend several days there, and it cost about twice as much, but still within the same range as low cost downtown Victoria hotels, it's up closer to Butchart, which made going there and coming back late a very nice thing.
in the twin room there was only a fan, in the queen room there was a portable AC unit, I would have paid a little more to have an AC unit rolled into the twin room if I had known, next time I'll ask

We needed a place to stay for one night while attending convocation at UVic, and the Cherry Tree Inn was perfect for that purpose. The Cherry Tree Inn is located just off Highway 17, so is very easy to access from either Victoria or Swartz Bay (ferry terminal). The room didn't have a lot of extra space, but that wasn't a problem, as we really just needed a comfy bed for the night. The room was clean, and had a TV, a fan, a mini fridge, a coffee maker, and free WiFi, and we had free parking just a few meters from our door (important for us, as my spouse uses a walker).

Cleanliness
After three days of my booking, one person who said " iam a managervof Cherry inn" called me and push me to cancel my booking. He didnot give me the reason and once he told the website was not update and they are overbooked and i should cancel my booking, i did not believe him and finally he told " you book the room for three nights that is a long time"!!!!!! He made me nervous and though his pushing i didnot cancel my booking.

The room and bathroom were clean, though cigarrete smoke can be smelled. I believe some former clients were smoking in the room, though it is not allowed. I like how they provided almost all of our basic needs - slippers, hangers, hair dryer, toiletries, microwave, brewed coffee, couch, tv, desk and chair. I like how we could just park our car right in front of our room.
I did not like the smell of cigarette smoke. I still had to buy a scented spray to somehow resolve this problem. I did not like how I had to go out and walk up to the office to ask for extra toiletries, etc. as they did not have a phone provided in the room. The bathroom was clean but I did not like how the drain in the shower tub was clogged every time I bathed.

The room was very clean and the location is quick and easy to get to from the ferry terminal. This was our third stay and would stay again if we need to go to Victoria.
It is an older hotel which is in good condition however there is very little sound protection between rooms. We had noisy neighbours on our last stay, so if you stay there you should be prepared for that eventuality.

Great location for departing the ferry after traveling all day - as well as close to the Airport. Second time staying, great value and very clean - staff and owners are very understanding of late arrivals and worked with me both times. No dogs this trip but last one, they were very accommodating as well.
Only downfall was people in room behind at 2am - 3:30 am decided to talk very loud and kept me awake but not an issue with the hotel but guests being disrespectful. After traveling 14 hours it was hard to take as very tired but yet still waken up by their loud conversation they felt we all needed to listen to.

The beds were comfy and the included AC was nice and worked despite it looking broken. The location was pretty and I liked the outdoor patio and appreciated the discount for my surgery stay :)
The bathroom was really small and the tiles beneath the toilet looked like they were breaking. And it was pretty smelly. The AC was a bit busted as well. I didn't like that it was near the highway but there isn't much to change that, but other than that I enjoyed my stay.

The kitchenette was very convenient. We felt that the management was watchful of the property keeping everyone very safe. It was a nice, convenient and clean place to stay. Our parking spot was right outside the door of our room which was very convenient.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. It was a nice quiet place to sleep. It was affordable which was great for us and we enjoyed going to several places in Victoria from this location.

Location was convenient for out of town. Most enjoyable was the size of the family suite. A whole apartment with 3 separate room, full kitchen and dining room. Great for a large group or family to stay at a reasonable rate without being right on top of each other.
Not clean to most hotel standards, but certainly not filthy (dusy blinds, etc...nothing awful.) One window didn't lock.
