Downtown Calgary is very walkable and the Courtyard by Marriott Calgary Downtown (CbMCD) is located within walking distance of pretty much everything - the Peace Bridge, the riverwalk, Calgary Tower, Studio Bell National Music Center, and tons of shopping. We arrived by car from Banff and navigating to the hotel was easy. There is a parking lot directly adjacent to the facility, and a few more nearby. It's not cheap during the week but weekend rates are quite reasonable. As is our experience at almost every Marriott we stay at, the service was outstanding, from the moment we entered the lobby to the time we checked out. The room was super quiet and comfortable, featuring a combination sofa / chaise lounge which we now wish every hotel offered. Everything was clean and up-to-date, and although we didn't use it, the fitness room was next level comprehensive, clean and modern. CbMCD wasn't the least expensive hotel available that weekend, but the value for money was undeniable.
The parking situation - which has nothing to do with the CbMDC property - is a bit of a drag. While the weekend rate at the adjacent parking lot was very reasonable, it expired on the Monday morning of our departure at 7:00 am, after which the hourly rate was exhorbitant. This necessitated a major search for an alternative, and this is where the night desk staff were incredibly helpful. The young man at the desk showed us the best option, which app to download and how to use it, all within about 15 minutes of inquiring. He could have easily just told us what to do, but he went above and beyond to literally walk us through the booking of a space step-by-step. Amazing.

One of the more spacious rooms we have stayed in for sure. very comfortable and i loved the couch that had built in power for charging. Bed was comfortable. Ample power plugs on either side and the desk. Plenty of space to store clothes, and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. Shower was phenomenal. We had a room on the 8th floor and had a southern view just past a nearby skyscraper, so we could see the park and the tram station a couple blocks away. Since it was the weekend the offices in the building across from us were empty. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location is good and not far away from the CORE shopping buildings and maybe a half mile from the Peace Bridge and Price Island's park. The Marriott is connected to the +15 Skyway so if the weather is bad you can use to walk east or west above traffic and out of the weather.
I loved the cabinet with the pull out coffeemaker. Maybe a couple more coffee pods and condiments would have been cool, but it worked out well. I think i was a robe and/or slippers away from thinking i was at a spa, lol. Room was great and thanks!

The rooms were very clean. The staff was courteous and helpful and were attentative to all of my needs. The furniture within the rooms was comfortable. Breakfast was good tasting at one of the hotel restaurants. The view from the room was nice as was the view from the rooftop restaurant. Rooms were spatious as well. Would definitely stay here again. Location was convenient to most places in downtown Calgary and easily accessible to public transportation. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the bus that goes to/from the airport.
Breakfast is not included in the price as hotel doesn't have a breakfast buffet. The hotel also did not offer daily housekeeping but rathter cleans the rooms every 3 days by default. The hotel also does not have an ethernet port.

Nice, quiet hotel in downtown. Helpful staff. We were a family, 4 adults. Tight beds. At least 180 cm is necessary for two people. The taste of the breakfast is quite good, but the organization is poorly managed. Only one portion of tea or coffee without the possibility of a supplement. The coffee is quite terrible. One self-service coffee maker and a juice machine would be enough. Unfortunately, it is very far from a quality buffet breakfast here.

Maybe because I booked last minutes, but I got a room for about $170. That was a great value. The carpet felt very clean. The shower was spacious. The bed was comfy. I went to Dorian hotel side for night cap and breakfast, and they were fancy. Right in downtown, and it was so convenient. The front desk was kind, and when I requested for a kettle, it was delivered right away. Small bottles of water was supplied, and it was nice.
Surprisingly, there was no tea.

Jarrett is the best. He made a memorable first impression by just being himself.. He guaranteed we will never stay anywhere else in Calgary. We are an Italian family of 5 meaning when we walk in its like a really loud nightmare headed to you. Jarrett was patient, funny and so kind. I have 2 friends going to Calgary next month and made them cancel their original hotel and book this one. They did.
More snacks and drink options.

The location was perfect for being within walking distance of many great locations downtown. The price of the room was extremely fair for the level of cleanliness, service, and a great layout for a hotel room. The staff were extremely easy going. Definitely recommend.
I honestly didn’t have any complaints when I left. I was happy with everything.

The hotel was lovely, really clean and spacious rooms, great ammenities and really great staff!
The location of the hotel was very central, however downtown Calgary isn’t the nicest place so we felt a little unsafe at times. The hotel also had a water ban so we had to have short showers and our rooms could not be made it. I know this isn’t the hotels fault, and they did their best to accomodate the water ban.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and I can't express enough how impressed I was with the level of service and flexibility provided by their staff. From the moment I arrived, I felt like a valued guest. One of the standout moments was when I arrived at the hotel well before the official check-in time. I was expecting to just drop off my luggage and wait in the lobby, but to my pleasant surprise, the staff allowed me to check in to my room right away. This small but significant gesture made a huge difference for me. I had been traveling for hours and had an important meeting later in the day, so being able to freshen up, change, and catch up on some work in the comfort of my room was a godsend. The room itself was clean, spacious, and well-appointed, offering a comfortable workspace and a cozy bed. The Wi-Fi connection was strong, which was essential for me to catch up on emails and prepare for my meeting. The room service was prompt.

The staff were amazing, friendly kind and responsive. Cleanliness was superb and breakfast staff were awesome, especially Shaheen. They always offered to prepare coffee to go when I was leaving breakfast.
There was a coffee machine, but not kettle or tea, I encourage them to add that as well.
