Breakfast was excellent but served on a cold plate! Pub atmosphere was great as were the main meals. Good ale .Locals very friendly and secure off road parking. Location good for a short walk. Very good location just off motorway but you wouldn’t know it.
Room was comfortable with a great view. One or two small details stopped me from giving a score of ten. Large cobweb with spider on ceiling (didn’t bother me but might freak out some folk!). Light over bathroom basin and two lights over double bed didn’t work. Small stains on carpet could easily be removed. Mix up over late access key was easily resolved.

This hotel is a little gem. Lovely view from our room across the Gloucestershire countryside. The hotel used to be a railway station which is still evident in some of the remaining fixtures and fittings. Landlord and landlady Steve and Wendy couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. We had a slight hot water issue which was addressed immediately with no fuss. The breakfast cooked by Wendy is off the scale. Lovely to drink in the bar with some of the locals. We enjoyed a great nights sleep ready for our trip next day to Plymouth. Being only 3 miles off the M5 it’s an ideal stop off place for those travelling to Devon and Cornwall.

Your had a good choice if breakfasts some of which was bufet style. Cooked breakfasts are available from a menu. There is a pub downstairs and the property is open for evening meals. The property was near a railway which was busy but not obtrusive. The property was surrounded by countryside. Rooms were clean and comfortable and though they had central heating, oil filled radiators were supplied for those day when the central heating wasn't on and the rooms were a little chilly.

The hotel is a 10 minute drive/cab ride from the Stonehouse train station, which is in the center of town. We stayed at The Beacon Hotel & Railway for five nights - The location is great for visiting the charming Cotswolds - we visited Bibury, Bourton on the water, Broadway Tower and Chipping Campden. The bedrooms are good size with comfortable beds and clean bright bathrooms. There’s a pub downstairs with a very friendly crowd and beautiful bartenders. The hotel restaurant serves delicious abundant and affordable meals for breakfast lunch and dinner.
It was very nice.

This is a family-run hotel in a historic building which was built as a railway hotel when the railway was constructed in the 19th century. The family are delightful, very warm and personable, which made even our short stay quite memorable. We booked a family room which has plenty of beds, which were large and comfortable. The furnishings were solid and of good quality. Excellent value for money. Breakfast is à la carte with a good selection, including for vegetarians.
Wifi signal in the room was weak.

the steak in ale and pie was delicious, the rooms easy to find (not alwayss the case in those wrinkled gangways :-). staff was friendly and helpful, rooms and sanitary clean. the train running nearby (as in Railway Hotel) comes frequently, but doesn't honk and when closing the windows you soon forget about them.

I loved the peaceful, rural country setting. The room was spotless and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The breakfast was hearty and great value for money. The menu offered a number of delicious options and I was more than happy to eat there. This is an affordable, family friendly hotel and I highly recommend it to travelers who are looking for an authentic British experience!
Some folks complained about the noise of the trains in their reviews, but I honestly never heard them when I was asleep!

Located in a cul-de-sac in a beautiful little village, it’s a beautiful old property converted and updated to keep up with the times. The rooms are very spacious and kept sparklingly clean. There’s a bar and a restaurant that serves top quality food and drinks. My husband had a great evening chatting with the locals and was made to feel very welcome. For breakfast we were served with a delicious full English (there are other choices too) and it was so delicious and made with fresh ingredients- none of that standard supermarket stuff! All in all it was a lovely stay and are planning to book it again on our next Cotswolds trip.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful, especially the morning crew. We loved the history of the place and the convenience of having a restaurant attached to the inn (food was delicious and breakfast was very quick). Our bathroom was updated and there was tea and coffee available in our room.
Took an hour to be served dinner. The bunk bed was incredibly squeaky, so we took the mattress off the top and laid it on the floor.
