The 'Orval' room was big and very well appointed. The bathroom had a shower and spa bath, with everything needed to make our 2 night stay very comfortable. The location was a short way from the town centre. Breakfast was generous, with one hot option. Service was prompt and catered for the individual, not DIY from a buffet. Thanks to our host we were able to park our motorbike for free in her garage, not too far away. The minibar with its honesty box in the hall worked well for us.

Parking in Kortrijk seemed very complicated. - Luckily we did not need it., but I'm sure, if we had needed it, hotel staff would have explained it. It was a shame that owing to recent illness, the brasserie was not open apart from breakfast.

This is great value and in a nice town that is well worth a visit. The hotel is walking distance to the centre where there are loads of restaurants. Breakfast is fantastic here, in a room that is full of beer adverts and historic stuff. Bathroom was great, but the best bit is the tea and coffee facilities down the corridor. Amazing beers and the best nespresso coffee.

Only thing that might be an issue are the stairs if you are not so physically able

We were aware that the room booked was in a separate location to the hotel itself but were pleasantly surprised at how close it was. (5 minute walk). Good location to the lovely old town (10 minute walk). Spacious room with adequate storage and hanging facilities for clothes. Comfortable bed. Lovely shower. There was a fridge with a mini bar. The fridge was very effective and we were able to chill our own wine (bought from The Delhaize next door). There is a kettle and microwave in a public area for all residents use. A nice continental breakfast included in price and we were offered cooked egg breakfast (husband had scrambled egg which he appeared to enjoy!)

Parking in Kortrijk is very confusing for visitors. They appear to have lots of rules and zones. Once you know the rules it is a lot easier. Street parking is possible for 4 euros per 24 hours. Look for white lines. Avoid coloured lines (yellow and green). We observed that there were many spaces in the morning and evening. We arrived at 4 pm and there were very few spaces. However, with some searching we found spaces close to the hotel. Just a bit of a pain after a long drive. We had to climb a lot of steep stairs to the second floor. It's a challenge with a very heavy case. We're in our 60s. If we can do it most can.

We enjoyed our two night stay. The room was good with a great bathroom. Breakfasts were served by Carmen, the owner and were most enjoyable . It was a 20 minute walk into the centre and train station. We travelled to Ghent for the day on the train. Everywhere is spotless and the people are so helpful and friendly. See other useful comments in reviews about parking. We chose the option in the waste ground car park. We would choose this hotel again.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Duivels Paterke in Kortrijk for one night and I can confidently say that it was a memorable experience. The hotel's owner, Carmen, is a delightful and larger-than-life presence who made me feel welcome from the moment I stepped through the door. My room was modern, clean, and tidy, with a comfortable bed and a stylish en suite bathroom that exceeded my expectations. The decor was tastefully done, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a long day of travel. One of the highlights of my stay was the conversation I had with Carmen about European languages. As a language enthusiast, I appreciated her passion for preserving Flemish and her insights into the linguistic landscape of the region. Breakfast at Duivels Paterke was a true delight. Carmen went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary preferences, offering to cook bacon and eggs. I decided on the traditional Dutch/Flemish cheese and bread instead. The bread and cheese were more than enough to satisfy my appetite, but the offer of a cooked breakfast was a lovely touch. Kortrijk itself is a charming town with plenty to see and do. The town's two towers are the most prominent landmarks, but there are also numerous shops, restaurants, and museums to explore. I would definitely consider visiting Kortrijk again in the future and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Duivels Paterke. In summary, I highly recommend Duivels Paterke to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay in Kortrijk. Carmen's warm hospitality, the modern and clean accommodations, and the delicious breakfast made this one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a long time.

I liked everything.

Beautiful room, stunning on suite bathroomHotel was just a short walk from Kortrijk town centre. Our host was fun and prepared us lovely breakfasts. Free tea and coffee. Also well stocked with well priced beers and wine. The dining area, as with the rest of the hotel, was immaculate. One of my favourite stays. Don't miss the textile museum or the Kortrijk 1302 exhibition, both interactive and multilingual. Highly recommend hotel and very well priced.

No issues

A real gem of a place. A few rooms above a bar, but not just any bar, a beer lover’s paradise. The lady who runs the whole place is a beer sommelier, speak Dutch, French, English, and is a real darling. My room (Chimay) was small but spotlessly clean and with a really comfymatress. The bathroom was relatively big and modern. Breakfast was excellent, and I didn’t even try half of what was on offer. A cyclist friendly place, you can store your bike in the garage overnight.

Some Street noise in the morning

This hotel provides very high quality for a very affordable price. The rooms are spatious, beds very comfy (and I'm saying that as a back pain patient), and the bathroom is spotless with a great rain shower. The location is also perfect, just at the edge of the city centre of Kortrijk. The host goes above and beyond to provide everything you need as a guest. I would definitely book here again. The breakfast is also highly recommended, in a cosy little pub with lots of options.

The breakfast was very nice, the hotel was well situated in a quiet area just outside the centre. The owner Carmel was very friendly and helpful, she very kindly printed off some train tickets for us. Tea and coffee available in corridor outside the rooms, no kettle in the room

Service was a bit haphazard, one day our room wasnt cleaned, on one day there were no eggs at breakfast. The accommodation was warm and cozy, but it would be more accurate to describe it as a b&b rather than a hotel.

Very good hotel. The staff is friendly and welcoming and also allowed us to check-in a bit early. The breakfast was a great continental breakfast.The room was comfortable and large enough with a nice shower. The location was about a 10-15 minute walk from the city center.
