We had a lovely stay here for 3 nights. The room had all the amenities we needed, a nice kitchenette and comfortable bed. Good size too so plenty of room for our bags. It was quiet at night and we slept really well. It’s just a short drive from Hokitika or a 15ish min walk. We had breakfast in our room every morning which was very handy!

- the wifi worked well on the patio but was very patchy in our room and often did not work unless we moved outside. I think that may depend on which room you get. - the door to the bathroom did not slide very well, which was just a minor thing but would be great to fix

The kitchenette was great. Used it all the nights we were there. Alround clean and tidy. Well maintained. Proximity to beach, shops and local attractions was handy. No noise coming through walls of neighboring units was great. Easy parking. Shower Handle for accessing the shower/bath was most useful. A secure and safe environment. Friendly owner Karen and staff.

Bed could be the next size up for a better shared sleep. The spa bath is not easy to get in and out of if only using the shower part.

Unfortunately the side of spa bath with the shower over it is very high and there are no grab rails. Therefore my sister could not have a shower for the two nights we were there solely because of the height as she has a shower over her bath at home without grab rails and manages very well. I was looking forward to a lovely spa bath but did not attempt one again because no grab rail.

This is a motel in the old school style...Rooms entering off the courtyard. The pool looked inviting/didn't get a chance to use it. We had car so getting to the center of town was easy: otherwise probably a 10 min walk . The room was clean and the beds were comfortable/unremarkable. The staff was very accommodating... patient with our questions about the area. It was also only about a 1/4mile from the Glow Worm Glen.

Great welcome, clean rooms and plenty of space for 2 people. Great facilities within the room if you wanted to cook a meal, have a spa bath.

Internet was a problem, but that may have been just my phone as my partner was able to access it and so was my laptop. This did not detract from our stay. Would stay here again.

Lovely staff. Clean rooms. Affordable. Easy parking out the front of your room. Have already re-booked for another stay. Easy access out onto the main road. Short drive into town, small convenience store only a 1 min walk away.

Could use a little updating but still very comfortable and happy with our stay.

Easy check in, clean and tidy, quiet and had everything we needed. Easy to find on the main road. Our rooms were serviced daily which I hadn't;t expected but they have an eco policy which means we kept our towels and could recycle so that was great. we were ablate sign in to our Netflix on the smart TV and the kitchen had everything we needed and more.

There was no playground or area for the kids to play but we were busy out and about so it wasn't a big issue for our short stay.  Instead they had a big spa bath!!

The only concern we had was in the bath, there were 2 long blacks hairs left and neither my husband or I have long dark hair. ☹️☹️ Also did not think the shower over the bath ideal for older customers.

Room was large and had all that we required. Located on the edge of town but for us it was close enough that we could walk in the evening to the local eateries.

Laundry facilities were disappointing as there was a $10 charge (incl. wash powder) which I thought was excessive.

Maintenance in room next door. We were over for funeral, so we were looking forward to spending one day resting, but this didn't happen. Understand Maintenance is inevitable, We ended up at beach in our car resting
