We were surprised with an upgrade which was a beautiful bonus. Easy place to find, location not from a little beach and walking distance to some cafes and bars. Our villa was well maintained and clean, and we made use of the bbq on the terrace, which has views over the pool and sea. (There is a lidl a few mins drive away) 6 had all we needed to be there for a few days. Pool was a decent size, good to use, and quiet. Easy parking facilities. Staff were super kind and left me a birthday cake in the fridge, which was thoughtful and a lovely touch. Would hesitate to come back.

I have no negatives. It was exactly what we needed.

Quiet and calm property, with a great sea view. Pool was wonderful (more that 20x12m and 2m deep in one end). Nice restaurants in walking distance, and a great supermarket (Apolonia) within 2 minutes by car. Grill on the terrace, for home BBQ and star gazing. We will be back!

The property was absolutely stunning. Beautiful grape vines, bushes, and flowers—I think even green beans hanging down mixed in the florals. We were in villa 20 and the view was pretty spectacular from both terraces. The pool was a nice touch. They have a cute little eatery next to the pool that I believe is open Tuesday through Friday (I may be wrong on the days) although we didn’t get to try since we were out exploring. The gentleman working there was so nice and informative. There is a road right outside the villa that you can take all the way down and you’ll find a discreet restaurant. On the other side of that restaurant you’ll find quick trails to quiet beaches. So romantic. I normally get grossed out anywhere I stay and this was the best place I have ever stayed. So clean! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of the first day we got there and the staff we saw in passing throughout our stay were very pleasant.

Wish there was coffee cups for the coffee maker. However, there is a market not too far that sold the right ones.

Great value for a two-bedroom villa with large pool and sea views. Our 'room' was a two-level villa with full kitchen, large living area, large terrace with plenty of seating/lounging room. Very comfortable furniture, well-stocked kitchen, very clean. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was nice, everything worked well. Loved the views out to the water, walked down to the restaurant (excellent!) at the beach closest to the property, and to the mini-market about five minutes away. There were also two grocery stores just a five minute drive away. Loved our stay here.

It can be noisy as the concrete construction allows for sound to travel easily between rooms. While the property has a couple dozen rooms, and less than half were occupied, we were next to a unit with a family of five, so listened to crying babies in the middle of the night and in the mornings. Why couldn't they separate visitors a bit?

Very clean, comfortable, and homely! I booked here for some quiet time, it was perfect for this! I hardly moved from my patio… the place is much bigger than it looks on pictures too. I expected an apartment but it was a house… Photos don’t do justice. Close to beach and a main shopping centre. I booked in May so the prices were very reasonable and the place was generally quieter… which was good as my intent was to go and relax

The location on a hill overlooking the ocean is quite spectacular. A 5 minute walk gets you to a small but nice beach serviced with a bar and a nice restaurant right on the ocean. The pool on the property and the lovely grounds permitted us to take a vacation from our vacation. There is a grocery store 5 minutes away which permitted us to grab breakfest stuff. A nice terrace overlooked the grounds. This is a really nice place to stay. I would stay here again and recommend it for friends to stay,

A second full bathroom would have been nice but as 2 couples we made the bath and a half work.

Excellent location close to beaches, groceries. Nice and quiet. Really good value and I found mgmt very responsive to my questions through booking.com. And the view is amazing! Just don’t book a studio if you want a view as there isn’t one. Only the 2 bedrooms face the ocean. I was able to switch luckily.

My only advice would be to have a friendlier reception. As a solo traveller it would have been nice to be asked how my stay was going, did I need anything, they didn’t tell me where the closest shopping was or the beach or anything really. It was like there was no staff on property. Maybe some people prefer that?

The pictures of this place do not do it justice! It is absolutely stunning, villas are huge (there was only two of us so we were rattling around in there!) and it looks like all of the properties have a sea view - this isn’t just the corner of the sea that some accommodations feel like they can get away with advertising but a full view overlooking the stunning pool area and sea behind from the balcony. The tennis courts and equipment were free to use which we were not expecting, and the accommodation is really secure with a PIN number to gain entry outside of working hours. There are some lovely restaurants/brunch cafes/beach bars within walking distance and plenty of beaches also within walking distance. Would recommend to anyone!

The staffing hours were a bit hit and miss at reception however I think this was down to one isolated day on the day we arrived.

Our rooms, the kitchen , the verandah with view of the ocean and the barbecue facility. The pool was lovely and the gardens nicely landscaped.

A walk in shower instead of shower over bath, tricky getting in and out, screen not big enough to stop spray on floor. Ants in the kitchen . Barbecues should have chimneys to prevent smoke blowing back into the apartment !

Lovely peaceful location and provided everything we were hoping from this holiday. The villas and grounds are very well kept and everywhere is cleaned daily. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble and you could borrow tennis rackets and table tennis equipment from reception to use if you wanted to. The sea views are fab and with your own terraces, balconies with seating, sunbeds and BBQs you can either stay by the villa or take the very short walk to the swimming pool where we never had to fight for a sunbed and a lot of the time we had the pool area to ourselves or there were very few people there which was brilliant. Even as guest came back from a day out late afternoon the pool area was never crowded and all other guest respected that people were there for a peacefully time. You were able to sit out round the pool during the late afternoon/evening, which is often the best time and it was just all very chilled and relaxed. We had a BBQ a few times during our stay and when coming back out of the villa the following day all the BBQ charcoal had been cleared away which wasn't something we expected. We hired a car from the airport and would definately recommend having transport as made getting out and about to see more of The Algarve easy and we found the location to be good for this as you were 15 minutes drive from Albufeira and there were lots of other great places to visit within 30 minutes drive. The local supermarket was only a few minutes drive away and provided everything we needed food & drink wise and the local town of Gale which was a 5 minute drive away had shops/bars/restaurants and other facilities. This was our first visit to The Algarve and this part of the world is beautiful and we definately plan to return to both The Algarve and Moraidas Villas Rufino.

The only negative we had was the size of the double bed. It is a very small double bed and would be much better if it was a king size or even super king size bed. We did mention this to the Manager and she said they will hopefully be changed to bigger beds over the winter for next season. This is the only reason we've not given the property a score of 10.
