We have stayed several times, we love the rooms in the house, the grounds are beautiful, location is nice.

We went with the intention of sitting out on the porch in the rocking chairs, and walking the grounds. We could not do either one , the mosquitos were horrendous! I have never experienced mosquitos that bad, maybe spraying the grounds ahead of mosquito invasion would help! We will go again but in the fall or winter! We were there two years ago in March , did not have that problem!

I am infatuated with human history. This house was built to last. It has withstood the wrath of mother nature, a civil war, several owners, and much more. I wasn't able to take the tour due to other factors, but i did walk around the property, and read on line, about it's history.

I would have liked to have access to the other parts of the house. We stayed in the Ruffin Room (the nursery). We were the only people staying in that part of the house, which was awesome. But we could only be in the sitting room, our bedroom, and the bathroom. There were two bathrooms upatairs; which were two, very large chimneys before pluming was added.

We were excited to stay on the plantation. Our room was great. We loved the decor. The grounds were spectacular and very relaxing. The breakfast was good. Our tour guide, Cassie, was phenomenal. We loved her enthusiasm.

The only thing we didn’t care for was that our neighbors tv was loud so we had a hard time going to sleep. I had awakened around 1am to a couple talking loudly. So “thin walls” would be my only complaint.

Breakfast was good, would have been nice to have fruit, yogurt added to the selection.

We were a little disappointed on the actual location , we didn’t realize the plantation was so close to the main highway, never in any pictures, television, books that I have researched showed this, of course we realized the acreage has been sold over the years, beautiful , relaxing stay . One night stay would have been sufficient for us, instead of two. We took the day and night tours, the girls were exceptional 😊 Lynn the night guardsman just added so much more with his stories and kindness, definitely worth the stay😊will tell family and friends it’s worth a stop over going to New Orleans or surrounding area. Restaurant was great, along with the friendly staff.

I love the Myrtles . It's my 4th time to visit the place but first time to stay overnight . The staff were friendly and very helpful . Me and my friends enjoyed the included guided tour of the main house , hanging out and drinking coffee at Elta Coffee and the delicious food during our dinner at the Restaurant 1796. I love the cottage that we stayed in ( caretaker Quarters ) . The decor is nice , beds and pillows are comfortable . We sure had a great time /stay .

The atmosphere of the place is great. It is a historic property, but the building we stayed in is quite new, so it has all the comforts, while still remaining in the same style. The tour of the house was interesting, we also liked the porch and the patio where you can lounge by the fountain. Good breakfast at the café.

Stayed in a room in the main part of the house. It was a very comfortable room. The restaurant and bar at the house were both really good. With our stay we also got a free daytime tour and a breakfast voucher for the next morning. The tour was very good and the breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed seeing the rest of St. Francisville also.

There were no issues:)

Loved the breakfast. Staff was great.

The coffee shop should be opened earlier. 7:30 is too late. I, like other guests, were up early, and couldn't get a cup of coffee. Please consider this, or put coffee makers in the room.

We had a great time at The Myrtles. We stayed in the JUDGE CLARKE WOODRUFF SUITE. It was so spacious and we also had access to a huge sitting room. There is a private en-suite bathroom. We LOVED the tub. That was a huge bonus. The bed was comfortable, but a bit creaky. To be expected with an older frame though, so not a problem. We had a few “spooky” encounters - cabinet doors opening on their own, tapping & footsteps heard at night. It could have been anything, but with the history of this place, it was fun to imagine.
