The hotel is centrally located across the road from the lake, in a quiet neighbourhood.

This hotel is the Fawlty towers of Rwanda. An old, tired, rundown property which is in need of a complete renovation. The atmosphere here is very forlorn and slightly depressing. I was the only guest staying at the hotel, although the tiny pool was full of visiting locals during the day. The rooms are full of fittings which haven't operated for decades. The hotel buildings are very beautiful and this grand old dame could be the star of the town if some serious money was spent to bring it up to modern standards. In the meantime - best to avoid and way overpriced for what it's offering!

Location is great. Breakfast is poor. Staff do not know how to serve it: e.g wrong sequence (omelettes served before toast is ready and before fresh fruit and juice); it takes an effort to obtain salt and pepper; no jam available for all three days. Order for coffee in the morning is taken at night, but never delivered in the morning;

Television did not work; internet was off for two out of three days; no coffee/tea facilities in room.

Staff was very nice, it was clean.

Poor Lighting in the room, 3 small bulbs in a room which costs $60 a night, it was very dull and dark in the evening. Not at all value for buck.
