Beautiful lake views from the room (balcony), and from the breakfast / restaurant location. Friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast service. Quality food. Places like Sagabay and Serena hotel are within a 10 minute drive (with scenic lake views).

Upon arrival and check out, I couldn’t pay with card (VISA) because of a network error. The manager was flexible in the solution though.

The staff were welcoming, attentive and fun! The location was gorgeous and just what we needed after a busy week in Kigali. The breakfast menu was limited but it hit the spot. It was quite nice not having to overthink what to have for breakfast. The dinner menu was also really nice and highly recommend the fish dishes! We had a cute room with a nice view and set back from the main dining area so it was basically silent. We organised a hike with the reception staff which we enjoyed. The hike included a stop off at the coffee plantation, a visit to the home of a community that make pots and a visit to the hot springs.

Our shower was blocked so we had to move room, although this was organised hastily after we reported the issue. The dinner takes a while to arrive but I guess that demonstrates that it is fresh!

The location is excellent! Right on the lake with great outdoor seating to enjoy the sounds of the lake. The staff were delightful, Jules in particular. Food was yummy, although the price was quite high. I had seen a few reviews about it not being clean - we didn’t find this at all. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are small but quaint and unique.

The bed was really small for two people, it felt broken as it leaned a lot to one side. Lastly, the pillows were either old or just awful quality.

Beautiful location right on the lake and easy to get to. Lovely first floor rooms with balconies overlooking the lake. Wonderfully helpful staff - especially Elie and Emmanuel - and very good food and drink by the side of the lake for dinner and in front of our rooms for breakfast.

It was noisy, with heavy trucks on the road right next to our window. The bathroom was very slippery and there was a dangerous low wall in front of the shower. The mosquito net provided inadequate protection. And the dinners were good but rather overpriced, as was the room. This is a good three-star hotel and should be priced as such, especially out of season.

If you are looking for an intimate setting that offers a well landscaped property that uses natural elements to create an organic and natural environment right by the lake at an affordable price. It took me a long time to decide on a property and considered the Selena Hotel and others but this was just what I was looking for given the time I had to visit. The bed was comfy and the room basic but fitting for the design of the hotel using stone and wood furnishings. I must also include the staff from the office staffer, Prosper and restaurant staff Elie and Emmanuel.

I wish there was a little more light on in the room and a few more mats to make it a bit more cozy.

An absolutely beautiful setting by Lake Kivu, with lovely food and great service. There was a fire lit each night in the restaurant and seating right down by the water. Comfortable cabins with hot water. Overall a very peaceful and pleasant stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, the only slight downside is the loud music from other hotels further along the lake - but it wasn’t too bad. The price in Paradis is higher than other properties we looked at in the area, but I would say the location and standard justified that. Bedside lamps would be a good addition!

Excellent service from staff! the staff looked after us so well during our stay and were attentive to our needs. We enjoyed the water front breakfasts and the wildlife surround the bay. During our stay we enjoyed pancakes, omelettes and the fruit salad for our breakfast. On our last morning as we were leaving the property one of the staff members ran over to our car with a small take away package - they had given us complimentary pancakes because we had enjoyed them so much during our time there. We loved Paradise Malahide!!

Bedrooms are totally sufficient for a basic stay, with running water and a bathroom in our room. The resort is close to a road and early mornings are very noisy so a light sleeper may be disturbed.

The rooms overlook the lake and you can enjoy a beautiful sunset while having some drinks by the lake. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. The food is really good (the tilapia and sambaza). I would totally recommend these items. They also kayaks you can rent out and boat rides you can take at extra cost. They had a nice bonfire which you can enjoy after dinner.

Wifi only works in the reception area and is a bit slow.

It was perfectly located. The decor was stylish african, that fit in with the environment. The staff was super friendly. Food was great. There was even a bonus traditional dance one might, although this is not a standard feature

A really nice room with a view on the lake, restaurant also great location, with a fabulous breakfast, very nice and helpful staff. I had a very relaxful time!

Not much to report here. Internet wasn't that good in the room (I could also have taken another room with better internet, but preferred the nice view), but they said they were working on it and it was really good in the restaurant.
