A wonderful hotel. Great location—close to everything, yet quiet and peaceful. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always smiling. They are ready to assist even after the reception closes (they provide a 24-hour emergency contact number). The check-in process was quick and pleasant. There's an elevator even though there are only a few floors. The room was new and clean, with everything needed: a large mirror, desk, comfortable bed, a small balcony, and a TV with nearly 300 channels. They seem to have thought of everything—even the TV remote has a volume limit to avoid disturbing other guests. Three towels were provided. Daily room cleaning surprised me positively, especially at such an affordable price. The hotel was quiet and offered great privacy. For me, it was a perfect stay. I highly recommend this place, as it offers the same quality you'd find in some expensive multi-star hotels.

Everything was perfect

Five star service from the two staff members we interacted with, and in particular the young man who checked us in. We arrived late, which was my fault—I misread the check-in time—and he still went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, even arranging tea for the two elderly relatives I was travelling with, which made their day. The property is perfectly located, a very short walk from both the older and newer parts of town; they had really good discounts on boat tours on the canal (€11 vs. €15 at boarding); it was spotlessly clean; there was parking right outside (free because we were there on the weekend—but having been to Aveiro before, I know there’s other free parking a short walk away, too); and the stay was really good value.

Nothing, everything was great.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, being close to the city center, which includes the central canal and a shopping mall named Forum Aveiro. The receptionists are welcoming and provide a discount ticket for the cruise boat from Viva a Ria. The single room is spacious, with iconic photos and ample natural light. Highly recommended for any travelers.

So close the center of Aveiro. Parked in front of hotel to unload bags and drove around to find parking, challenging but you will find it nearby and you walk a lot anyway! Breakfast was sufficient and I got practice speaking português to staff.

Great location - we actually walked to the hostel from the train station on the way there (and took a Bolt on the way back because of torrential rain). It was also in a great spot for walking to the main sites in Aveiro. We arrived at 2pm and asked to store our bags until check-in at 4pm, but our room was actually already to go so we were able to check-in early!

Suites Cidade Aveiro was a quiet place right on a beautiful city park and across from one of the most unexpected impressive museums we came across during our travels in Portugal. It's a pleasant block or two walk to the central town pedestrian walkways. As we were only in Aveiro for a couple days, we choose breakfasts with Suites, and they provided many healthy food options. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Perhaps most importantly the staff were remarkably helpful and went out of their way to assist us in our local travel plans. PS. Don't miss a trip to Costa Nova! I should note that at many lodgings in Portugal you simply enter codes provided to you via Booking into a doorway code mechanism (not an attending person to be found ), but here you had all the pleasures of interacting with a kind, thoughtful welcoming staff person.

Everything was great. Staff was exceptional and helpful with all kinds of local information. We have been travelling for a month and we were directed to the cleanest most modern laundromat we’ve ever been in. All within a 5 minute walk.

(+) It was very close to the city center. (+) there was a proper reception desk and receptionists were very helpful. (+) it was clean

(-) It was around 20 minutes (by foot) away from the train station. There is no public transport from the station to somewhere near to the hotel. But it takes around 3 to 5 minutes by taxi (around 5 Euro). I recommend to guests taking a taxi if they have a heavy luggage or trolley.

The hotel is in a great location just around the corner from the main Aveiro museum. The staff member on reception was very friendly and helpful. I arrived to leave my luggage but was able to check in early as my room was ready. The room was clean and comfortable and it was good to have a lift.

It would be good to have somewhere in the hotel to make a hot drink.

The staff are very friendly and competent. As I have lactose and gluten intolerance, I ask in my reservation on Booking.com, that if possible, they would provide lactose-free milk and gluten-free bread. And on my breakfast, in addition to these products, they also offerted lactose-free yogurt. An additional service, which in many hotels around the world, was not available to me. Thank you for the delicacy, and service provided. A hotel that despite being very central (a 5-minute walk from the Aveiro Docks, from where the traditional gondola tours depart, the fish market, with bars and restaurants around), is located in a very quiet street.
