From first arriving to checking out, the staff were incredibly friendly. Room was a great size as was the bathroom and despite no aircon and it being 30 degrees outside, was also surprisingly cool (Room 24). As we were travelling with our dog, it was a bonus for the room to be on the ground floor and they even had a dog mat and bowls waiting in the room. There is a great terrace for outside eating or just chilling with a beer. Its hard to beat the location. Right on the river side and very close to bars, restaurants and Schloss Veitshöchheim (the grounds are amazing to visit and free). We can also recommend the Meegärtle Beer Garden just down from the hotel for good beer and good food. We only stopped for one night on our way to the Czech Republic but you could quite easily spend a few more days here. Excellent location for cycling (pretty much everyone else staying at the hotel had cycles) and it is also very close to Wurzburg. The Hotel is around a 25 min drive from the A3. Well worth it.

Its not so much as a dislike, more informational. If you are travelling by car. The hotel car park is small, probably enough for around 8 average sized cars (We have a VW Transporter, but still managed to get a spot), however, there is good public parking just 50m from the Hotel.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff at both the reception and the kitchen. Late check-in was self check-in, efficient and smooth! On-site free parking available. Outstanding breakfast buffet, healthy, diverse and organic produce. Beautiful garden to relax with a beer and access to the Main river promenade. Within walking distance to restaurants, beer gardens, ice cream shops, playgrounds, and the castle and beautiful castle gardens and grounds - what a quaint town! Hotel has a great library, too, cultural events and book readings. They emphasize sustainability a lot. Rooms were functional and simple. Quiet location/rear facing window for a good nights' sleep. Would return and recommend without hesitation!

The showers were small. Not a problem for us but a big person may struggle. A mini fridge would have been great, but perhaps it isn't green. No kettle/tea on the room. A readily available coffee machine/maker throughout the day would have been great.

Very friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English. The location is excellent in a really nice little town with an amazing garden. Also very good with organic food and ev charger.

In one of the rooms it was quite hot whilst the other room had an AC unit. Would be good if the AC could be standard. Would also appreciate a kettle.

Our room was big and bright. We were three in our room. The room overlooked the town and trees. The sheets and beds were really comfortable. The location was great near the river and really close to the town center. We could charge our electric car in one of the two chargers in the private parking, super convenient.

Lovely place by the river. We stayed there only one night on the way back from our vacation. Parking was close. It was clean and we were happy there was a room big enough for us two and our two kids. You can walk by the river, there are restaurants and a playground for kids.

Our room had no air conditioning so it was borderline hot to sleep but still manageable… perhaps an upgrade in the future?

Situated in the second row from the river. Quiet and nice place. Fine breakfast. Restaurants close they served fine German food. The parking place was small but had two places for electric charging! If you do not get one of the P-places there were plenty close by.

We came from Italy heading north. To come to this little village we had to pass the industrial Würzburg both ways. In November the dark comes early limiting the exploitation of the idyllic village and river.

If you have a car, a good choice for Würzburg visit. It’s not in the main road. We missed the turn and parked our car at the public parking place as free. The room is ok for two people but the bathroom is little bit small. Breakfast is enough and delicious.the staff are very helpful.

Have a look at a cooling solution during summer, there was a fan in the room, just about right for me, but after a few hot days it could get an issue in this specific room.

I had a great room on the top floor on the end. No noise from other rooms, great view. Breakfast outstanding. Amazing location.

Building and facilities are just wonderful. Very personal, elegant and well refurbed building, close to Main river and right in the middle of the village Veitshöchheim. Staff is ultra-friendly, rooms ultra clean an quiet.

Given the rates there's really nothing to complain about.
