The breakfast is absolutely Fabulous,there is no lack of choice,all the way from authentic Thai to traditional eggs and bacon,a very large selection of all the tropical friuts you would expect,if you prefer you can have hot pork,chicken beef cooked with rice noodles the choice is extensive.You can choose to sit in the air conditioned section,or outside on the patio area.well done Meridian.

The resort is amazingly beautiful. Great pools, great food, the beach is beautiful and clean- what more could you want! We also really enjoyed the pool bar. The two bartenders Nanny and Wan went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They were incredibly friendly and make a great Cuba Libre. We will be back! PS the all inclusive option is well worth the small amount extra - so many choices!

There was a distinct lack of random cats that other resorts in Khao Lak usually have - possibly because the resort has such a focus on attracting bird life which is also great. We just missed making friends with the random cats in the area :)

The rooms were wonderful, very spacious and clean The food was great and plentiful , lots of choice Staff at the Hotel were delightful, very polite, kind and courteous, nothing was a problem for them

The hotel is not suitable for a young family, to entice more young families it needs a specific kiddies pool , with a playground, shade and toys- More activities at night like more movie nights for younger children . There was not enough sunloungers around pool areas and grass areas.

We were disappointed with the beach.Lots of dead coral so hard to get in. The picture doesn't show that. The food for Thailand was good but quite expensive. The gardens and pools were beautiful and the setting as well.

We stayed here during low season. So the value for money was great. Breakfast was no disappointment and we enjoyed one of the three pools a lot.

I would not wanna stay here during high season. It was very busy at the breakfast already. Right out of the bed into this was a bit much and took me some time to sit down and adapt first before i could enjoy.

Its a very nice and big resort with everything you need. Very clean and modern rooms. Very nice staff. Beautiful beach and pools. Very nice breakfast. Overall nice experience, would come back.

Slow check in, we arrived at 4pm and the room was not ready yet, we got a free drink but yeah... Plugs next to the bed were sometimes working sometimes not... Not enought sun loungers at the resort. On the 3rd day we were eating at the restaurant, wanted to put the bill on the room as always but they started to be confused and tell us we need to pay cash... We didnt take cash as we were signing the bills every day... I understand if we came over the limit (however first time this happened in 5 star resort), but they should at least call us in the room in the morning about sorting out the bill. However we came to reception, paid and than can sign again so we dont need to carry cash arround resort.

The property was very clean and nice. I liked all of the selections for food and drinks on the all inclusive menus. We enjoyed the 3 pools and the pool bar. The staff were really nice and professional. The staff members that stood out were: The hostess Lelyla, Chef James, and the bartender Wann. They helped make my new fiancé and my trip the best most memorable. They played huge parts in helping me celebrating my fiancé’s birthday and with my proposal.

Only thing I can complain about is the rocks on the beach. But they actually give you complimentary water shoes to wear.

Perfect. Everything is perfect, from the beds to the friendly staff, to the gigantic pools, the restaurants and everything else. If you book the all-inclusive option there is literally nothing that you need to worry about. The staff will always greet you with a smile and try to help in anything they can.

Everything was perfect. Visited in September, and being low season, some pools and bars were under maintenance, but there are plenty of other options. Make sure you know how secluded the hotel is before you book, it's perfect for relaxing, but a bit far from other activities.

August is low season in Thailand due to the rain. Many hotels shut down some of their services and offer reduced breakfast buffet but not Le Meridien. The breakfast buffet: egg station (omelettes, eggs benedict, etc), huge bread/waffle/donut section, 3 kinds of cheeses, # kinds of deli meats, sausage and bacon, yogurt station with multiple flavor choices & toppings, hot noodle soup, daily selections of South Asian food, daily selection of Thai specialty, sticky rice & bbq/fried meat, salad bar, fresh juices, multiple tea/coffee options, plus stuff like baked beans, baked tomatos, fried pumpkin, green Thai curry, etc. Gluten Free options available too! One of the best breakfast buffets we've seen in Thailand at this price point. All three pools were kept very clean. Once a week the staff turn on a bubble machine in the pool. Kind of like a giant bubble bath. Very fun for kids and adults alike. Fitness room is open 24/7 with four treadmills, ellipticals, weight equipment and free weights. Fitness room also has water cooler, fresh fruit in the mornings and scented cold towels. Bicycles are free to use for up to an hour. Bangsak beach is long- it least 5km to the south end from Le Meridien. Great to walk but not really suitable to run due to numerous streams running into ocean. Staff are amazing- from general manager down to the serving staff in the restaurant. Polite, helpful and fun. There are local restaurants, coin op laundry machines, convenience stores and bars all within easy walking distance. However location is far out of town. It's the kind of place you come for a quiet vacation, not to party or enjoy the night life. If you want that go to Phuket or downtown Khao Lak.

Like many other hotels in the area management needs to fix the problem with birds stealing food from guests tables at breakfast. Some guests even think it's cute to feed the birds which makes it worse- birds poop all over the tables and chairs. Trapping them with nets and relocating them requires effort but needs to be done for sanitary reasons.

It does look rather unassuming from the outside, as well as in the foyer and corridors, but the rooms are generously sized, clean and have great air conditioning. The bathrooms are also really large and clean. The handwritten notes on the mirrors from housekeeping were a cute touch. Of the 3 pools, we enjoyed the main pool the best. It was well maintained and close to the beach. The reception staff weren’t amazing, but we did have stellar service from the Latitude08 bartender, Nims, and the breakfast maitre’d, Norin. Staff at the resort were generally really lovely and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was really good and breakfast staff were fabulous.

The location is a little secluded, so you do end up having to take a taxi or hire a private driver every time you want to head out (unless you rent a car). There are two free shuttle services a day but timing was a little difficult. The beach is a little rocky (so bring surf shoes) and the waves are quite strong. The remaining two pools aren’t as appealing as the main pool in terms of the layout, design and location. While the rooms were clean, our balconies were really dirty so we didn’t spend any time on them. Housekeeping also forgot to clean our room the first day despite being asked a couple of times (possibly due to a language barrier), but a call to the front desk resolved this.
