We had a great stay at Villa Lara! The views from the hotel are fantastic and there's a beautiful balcony to sit and enjoy tea / coffee / breakfast while savoring the views of the Amalfi Coast. The staff is wonderful and super helpful - special shout-out to Valeria and Nello! They both helped us with our luggage while we were there and we're so friendly. It's a small hotel which offers a cozy vibe and the breakfast spread is good and fresh!

Nothing! Only things to note : While there is an elevator to get to the hotel, there are two flights of stairs as well but the staff helps with the luggage so it's not a problem. The bathroom could use a bit more ventilation.

The staff was very professional, friendly, and helpful (big thanks to Nello and Thomas), breakfast was generous and varied with eggs/beans, cheese/ham, yogurt and granola/cereal, and assorted pastries. The second larger room we stayed at was highly functional and stylish. Finally, the view from the breakfast balcony is lovely — could have spent the entire morning there.

Nothing I didn’t like but if I could make a suggestion — it would be to affix a few towel racks or hooks in the bathroom. We love walking so the distance from the marina (10-15 minute walk) was not an issue for us but those with mobility issues may want to consider.

This was the perfect BnB for a stay in Amalfi. The staff were so nice, location was perfect and the breakfast was so good - such a large spread! Accommodation also arranged transport for us from Naples which was perfect!

Only minor comment that none of the sockets in the room worked between 4 of our European adapters. Wasn’t a major issue as there are USB charge ports also on each bedside in the room but we did have to buy multiple USB chargers to charge all of our devices.

The property has a stunning view of Amalfi!! Breakfast is also Included on the terrace with a view , very clean villa and friendly helpful staff they answered all my questions week before I came and even when I was there I was bugging with questions they were so happy to assist and communicate on everything even helped set up a transfer from Naples train station to villa lara in Amalfi directly, and provided ferry information to get to Capri and positano.

Great hotel in a great location. Staff are just awesome and and ready to help with anything you ask. The view from the breakfast area and superb. The hotel is very clean.

Nothing. Only note to future travellers, if you are taking a taxi to the hotel to be dropped off from the airport or ferry. please call the hotel and they will allow the car in the pedestrian street. if not, its about 9 mins walk from the main city area,

Fortunately this very nice quiet small hotel has an elevator but if you like exercise feel free to take the 200 stairs climb ;). The room was clean, comfortable, but a bit like a hobbit house with the sloping rafters overhead. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice view from the terraces.

Parking was 35 euros per day extra no kettle or tea in room.

Small boutique hotel within walking distance of the centre of Amalfi. Clean and comfortable rooms and great breakfast with amazing views. Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again

Nothing! A point to bear in mind. There are several steps up to the hotel which may be a problem for elderly or those with heavy suitcases

My family and I had an absolutely amazing time at the Villa Lara hotel! Every staff member we interacted with was beyond accommodating and kind, and the hotel was in the perfect location close to the heart of Amalfi, while still being a bit removed up the road. Though there are a bit of stairs to reach the hotel, there is a lift you can take instead. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, with daily service. The morning breakfasts were delicious, and even set up earlier than expected so we were able to come down and enjoy the food before our early starts to a long day. The staff even made us whichever delicious coffees we’d like each morning! The staff assisted with our baggage up and down the lift when needed, and we’re so helpful with local recommendations. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Amalfi to stay here, I know we will be back!

First and foremost, the staff were so nice and friendly. The location was a little bit of a walk up the hill from the port but we knew this going in and wasn't an issue. To be honest, being able to walk up through the town was so nice being able to see so much of the scenery. The room and building were so beautiful and kept up considering how old it was. The morning breakfast was perfect each day, and the view from the veranda as we ate was spectacular. I couldn't have imagined a better location and accommodations.

The spa tub in the room was excessive and I'd be surprised if anyone used it because why would you come to Amalfi for that! But that didn't detract from anything for us. Be aware that there are steps to take to the room, not including up to the hotel. To get to the hotel there is a fine elevator to remedy that, but be aware of steps to the room. This was not an issue for us but it might be for some people. I would say, though, for those visitors to know that any trip to the Amalfi Coast will involve many steep steps no matter the town or location.

The staff here were incredibly friendly and welcoming! This hotel has the most amazing view from the terrace, has a buffet style breakfast spread every day, and the staff can make you a fresh cup of really great espresso! I really enjoyed being able to have breakfast and coffee while most of the stores in downtown are closed earlier in the morning, and that the location of Amalfi was less crowded than other cities in the area, did not have hundreds of stairs, and had the most beautiful souvenir stores of all that I saw on the coast. Overall, this was a great place to stay for the amazing staff, location, view, and breakfast! Highly recommend.
