The room was big & clean. Great shower, comfortable bed with soft pillows. The lady on reception was lovely & helpful. After 30kms, I really needed and enjoyed the spa. Breakfast was great although the staff were not as friendly. If I stayed again I wouldn't stay for dinner as although the burger was okay, the bread was stale and the chips not that warm. Maybe I should have said but I was tired and wanted to eat up and go to bed

The receptionist was unfriendly. Sour to be exact. The restaurant in the evening was horrible. We basically waited for almost 2 hours to get waited on and served. I actually had to get water for our table myself. The food wasn't what we expected for the price. Overall not great.

Central location and view over the square was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The interior design made a nice change from the usual hotel decor. Room was spotless, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in for a long time.

The basement swimming pool was clean and the water warm, but the space it was in looked in need of some refurbishment and could have done with better lighting and more heating. We were there in the depths of winter however.

Fun quirky individual rooms right in the heart of Caminha. Lovely staff, good facilities, great food (we really enjoyed breakfast and dinner). Fish dishes in particular were really lovely. Everyone was very kind to us and our little boy (age 2) and he enjoyed his stay as much as we did! We particularly loved our view of the square, watching everyone coming and going from the Juliet balcony. We felt very well looked after, and that the hotel is very good value for money. We will be back for sure :)

There was a smell of damp in some communal areas, but it was a winter stay and not in the room. I personally like a bathtub (for the little one) in the bathroom and a little more privacy, but this is very much personal preferences - the only reason I don’t give 10/10.

Clean, spacious, central, right on Camino. Friendly staff.

Restaurant serves food too fast so there really isn’t an opportunity to sample the wines at a decent pace as I didn’t get half way through the starter wine when the main dish was served. The main dish was a portion of Bacalhau served on vegetables that could feed 3 persons and it was very chewy. Massage room is directly connected to the swimming pool which was very noisy.

Great location on the beautiful town of Caminha. The hotel is pretty cool and breakfast was great. Right on the Centro square.

Room needed a bit of attention - water coming out of shower onto bathroom floor of a hotel that prides itself on good design it was strange not to see the floor angled to drain.

The rooms were nice and location at the market place lovely. Overall a better location. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. So did the wine cellar. However the hotel saw better says in the past.

It smelled quite bad when walking in, like humidity in the building... all along the hallways. There were diffusers standing around to cover it but did not quite work.... When we tried to use the ventilation in the room it could only heat the room massively. The window was only possible to open completely but not to just get some breeze... No bathrobes were provided for the pool andno towels... pool was also not very pleasant... so we did not go. Breakfast was ok. We had much better ones at cheaper places with more fresh supplies from locall bakeries.

Excellent location, beautiful mix of traditional and modern. Staff was always very helpful and kind.

Amazing room, modern, spacious, but slight humidity smell being next to garden. Service at restaurant was slow although food was excellent.

Reasonably priced stay in this lovely town, right in the town centre. I think we may have been upgraded as the room was much larger and generous than expected!! We even had a sun terrace, and perfect weather helped with the sun loungers! We liked the fun interiors. The breakfast was quite nice, and one of the better ones we had during the trip. Loved the location and convenient for the Camino. We were given a free bottle of wine for having the dinner in the restaurant-an incentive to stay in for dinner rather than venture out. We also enjoyed a couple of games of pool in the social area. We were able to have a glass of wine in the garden too.

The pool area in the basement was tired and needed a facelift. Was a bit sad and everything was turned off. Shame really, as if that had been working and top notch we would have stayed an extra night. Only 2 of the shower tap heads were in service, but I couldn’t understand why they had the spa shower valves, but deliberately removed two of the options. The bar didn’t open until 7pm which was a bit of a shame, but they let us drink our bottle of Vinho verde from the wine shop in their garden anyway!

Room was quirky with a great outlook onto the Plaza. Historic character building at the front with modern architecture at the back. Bathroom was well set up with good hot water. Staff friendly and efficient and breakfast was really good. We enjoyed a nice dinner in the restaurant with a complimentary bottle of wine.
