This Holiday Inn building is 20+ years old. It appears to have been recently remodeled and was immaculate. The king bed was comfortable and there was a sofa to relax on while watching the evening news. The hotel was a convenient drive to Duke Hospital - Durham if you avoided the highway and took the surface roads. We all agreed that the breakfast was a notch above the average hotel free breakfast offerings. I enjoyed the warm cinnamon rolls and my husband liked the bacon.

The door locks are original to the hotel and the key cards do not work easily.

Convenient location near freeway and Duke. Clean and comfortable. Newly renovated with plenty of outlets and good wifi. Mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee bar. Plenty of parking and hot water. King room has pull out sofa if needed.

This is on the other side of town from Duke, not the best neighborhood, adjacent to freeway with lots of street noise. Mini refrigerator was unplugged when we arrived and room was hot. Set AC to 68 to cool it and it ran continuously but never got below 72 all night. They only provide two of each towel so you have to ask for more. Pool needs to be refinished.

The clean & spacious room was a huge plus for me. The bed was extremely comfortable, it's like sleeping on a cloud. One thing that really surprised me was the dove toiletries, really nice!

Everything was great! I think a few better options for breakfast would be nice.

The young man checking us in didn’t seem to know what he was doing. I had to go back to the desk to get the key cards redone so I could get into my room. Another lady was waiting for the same reason

Loved the cinnamon buns! Main reason we selected your hotel. Pancake machine was fun.

Person at check-in desk was not very friendly. He was offended that we had used a booking service and he would not take our holiday inn account number.

The property was well maintained,comfortable and have excellent quality service from front desk, food service, and cleaning. I had a wonderful experience and will be back to visit again 👍🏾

The hotel was conveniently located right off the interstate so it was a little loud with highway noise. The hotel itself was clean and fresh. Bathroom was in nice shape as well. Loved the complementary breakfast each morning. Staff was nice and friendly.

Breakfast food in a cramped area. Would be helpful if breakfast traffic went in one direction. Saw signs for “entrance” and “exit”, but they weren’t on the outside of the area, but inside where they could not be seen.

It was pet friendly, but charging almost half of what a nights stay is, is plain ridiculous.

The holiday Inn Express Durham (2516 Guess Rd, Durham, NC 27705) is a fantastic location. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, the room’s clean, the beds are so comfortable, and the breakfast is good. I would certainly recommend staying at this location if you’re in the area.

Maybe ask for a room away from the Highway as I was able to hear it from the second floor room I was in.
