Amazing host Kate made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Perfect location of the motel - walking distance to the heart of Stanthorpe yet beautiful river view from the room window. Very quiet and private. Plenty of parking spots. The room exceeded our expectations, it was warm, spacious, with comfortable bed and super clean. All the toiletries and kitchen facilities were provided - kettle, microwave, toaster, plates, cups and cutlery, tea and coffee. Towels and bed linen - everything was clean and of good quality. Very pleased with the care about customers - Kate turned the heater on before our arrival so that the room was warm and cosy. Absolutely happy with our stay and looking forward to come back again. 10 out of 10

The lovely owner Kate welcomed us kindly on arrival with friendly advice about the area and places to visit. She also encouraged us to reach out at any time, if we needed anything. Our room was clean, tidy and cosy and overlooked the beautiful Quart Pot Creek. It’s easy to just sit and gaze out the window. Such a great location within walking distance of the town, cafes, shops, parks and more, and only a short drive to Girraween. I definitely recommend this quaint motel and we would stay again in a heartbeat! And total value for money!

Loved it all

The room had crockery and cutlery for us both to use for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It was a compact room but big enough for us two, and quick to heat as we were there in midwinter. Kate and her staff were all very friendly and helpful with tourist info and for our room.

The Wi-Fi was patchy at times. Watching online TV it would stop and restart several times in the evening. I guess this is when lots of guests are using the same Wi-Fi channel at once.

Friendly and helpful welcome by the lady on reception. Was shown 2 rooms one at the very front of the motel and another further. Both Deluxe Queen rooms. We choose the front room as it was in a nice sunny position and had use of the verendah. Room was large, clean and comfortable with all the usual amenities. Was the room was closet to the main road there was very little traffic noise at night. [ as the lady from reception advised]. Great location, short walk to town centre. Nice location overlooking the park great for an afternoon walk.

Nothing really other than the air con was struggling to keep the room warm on the coldest of nights [got down to -4 when we were there].

Manager was exceptional in trying to help out with a mixup with notification not coming through clearly from Booking.com that the booking was confirmed. In trying to confirm the booking I inadvertently booked again and was unaware until we arrived and made aware of the double booking. As it could not be cancelled she upgraded us to the most expensive room to help out.

Booking.com's confusing confirmation system. We booked 4 venues through their system on this trip but this one booking had a glitch with failing to confirm the payment went through for the initial booking resulting in a double booking.

Staff were genuinely thoughtful and customer service was of a high standard. The room was lovely and clean, freshly painted, decorated with tasteful simplicity which I like very much in a motel room. Everything that I could need was there- shampoo, tissues, hair dryer, iron, microwave, milk, hanging space, great reading bedside lamps, warm cozy room with heating and electric blankets. The bed was comfortable. We thought we paid a fair price and were extremely happy with our little room. I loved walking only a few steps from my car to my door for unpacking and packing! The tv was quite small but perfectly positioned to watch from in bed. I loved the white cotton quilt bedspread. Nice touch.

I didn't like the synthetic mink blanket. They don't breathe and I got a little overheated. No problem. I removed it. Most motels and airbnbs have them as they wash like a dream.

The location is excellent very close to the shops and restaurants within a very easy walking distance. We had a 'Garden View', see photo, which was looking at the grassed and tree lined creek park. A great paved area to walk along either side of the creek. Also close to the tourist information centre, who suggested a great Sunday loop drive around the area. We ended up driving through to Tenterfield. The room was quiet and comfortable.

First of all Kate in the office was excellent, amazing service. The room was a very good size and spotless, Plenty of room a great view over the river. Great shower plenty of pressure and good hot water Very quiet and efficient Air Conditioning Plates and bowls and cutlery provided with a good size microwave oven Great location close to town centre easy walk

The motel was very comfortable, exceptionally clean and Kate (owner) couldn't have been any more helpful. We arrived early but couldn't fit our car under the entry awning. Kate advised us of an alternate entrance. Kate gave us access to our room early as my husband was unwell. She then asked us if we needed anything as she was going into town. The motel was also in a great location with close proximity to town.

Nothing not to like - just don't judge a book by its cover. The building may not look like much but it was well worth our stay here.

I was very impressed with Sky who checked us in. She was exceptionally friendly and helpful with advice on Italian restaurants nearby and giving us extra milk when requested. The room was lovely with a pretty view out towards the river.

There seemed to be a problem with their wifi. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't as well as being very slow. It certainly wouldn't put us off staying here again though.
