The cosy cabins with fire places.

The cabin we had needs a little tidy up. Cracked handbasin. (Still useable). More fire lighters and kindling. Complimentary milk was already opened and used. We bought our own. Parking near the cabin was awkward especially when raining. The Continental breakfast included was fabulous 👌 all you needed. Home cooked bread was lovely. Restaurant meal 2 courses for $52 was very nice. Husband enjoyed the paddle of different beers. A port by the fireplace after dinner was nice. Bed was comfortable and warm. WiFi was no good. A smart tv would of been better where you could cast your own programmes. Only ABC and 1 SBS tv channels available. Built in DVD player if you have them. A real "rustic" getaway.

Location is fantastic. Great feed at the restaurant for dinner, and lovely breakfast included each morning. Fireplace works a treat in the cabin; much appreciated to have the firewood supply replenished each day of our stay. Staff at dinner were very accommodating, friendly and helpful.

A bit confused that the sign saying "Turn off electric blanket when leaving" didn't match the beds: no electric blankets were on either bed. A bit of maintenance needed with one of the towel racks, but otherwise a lovely place to stay. Some staff at breakfast on the final day were less warm and helpful than the rest of the crew throughout our stay.

We loved the breakfast. The muesli and homemade bread were a favourite. The hot water shower was lovely and hot! The kids loved feeding the ducks and completing the scavenger hunt. Thanks Stacey!

The fire lighters and the timber provided for thr indoor fire were poor quality and didn't light. We had to use a lot of paper and time to get the fire going.. There was mould on the walls of the cabin and inside the sky light in the bathroom. An extra hand towel or bath mat would've been appreciated. We had 5 people using the same hand towel and bath mat for 3 days, and in the cold wet weather they just didn't dry!

Loved the layout of the property, plenty of outdoor space and not touristy. The on-site beers and ciders on tap are delicious. Managed to have a 2 course meal on the Monday night and it was mouth watering. Terrific that we could wander across to the dining room each morning for a continental breakfast - the freshly cooked breads were an added delight.

Nothing. Next time we will be more prepared by bringing DVDs and a good book for downtime due to no tv reception and minimal wifi connection (not a major loss during a staycation).

The cabins were cosy and spacious, my family (2A, 2C) had plenty of room. The facilities are brilliant my daughter enjoyed picking out DVDs for us to watch each night from reception and feeding the duck. Firewood was regularly stocked each day at our cabin. Very pleased with our stay and would return again. The cabin location is fantastic just outside the main town but close enough for everything to see and do.

Nothing everything was great during our stay.

I guess the highlight of the stay was the almost nonexistent internet or phone service. Then again this is not a telco review, is it? The staff has been exceptional from the beginning to the end. Professional, friendly and just nice in general. A rare occurrence these days. Great location for a relaxed stay. Will feel old-school and basic if you are the 5star hotel type, but the great and functional cabins in the middle of the bush are charming and simply cozy. Would have preferred to leave the child at home tbh, but we didn't trust him to look after himself at the senior age of 3. However, we were all very pleased by the ability of watching him from the verandah's patio while he was busy collecting sticks for the fire. The staff took great care of him as well and introduced him to Cheese and Pickles (not on a charcuterie board, but the said name ducks). The bar and restaurant were great too, except perhaps the second night, but i still do not understand what made my wife order her steak Medium-Well - hardly the fault of the chef i guess.

Fantastic location, wonderful little cabins with everything for a short stay away. The brewery was wondeerful as always, the food was fantastic as was their staff.

The cabins were wonderful the only downside was their showers. The showerheads definitely need replacing, you expect there to be pumped water but with poor water pressure a good shower head would assist otherwise everything else was great.

Breakfast basic continental. I prefer full buffet. Buffet only served on Sundays, The restaurant menu for dinner read very well however the delivery was totally different. The lamb shank in the pie was dry and lacked moisture and flavour for a slow cooked shank. The rump steak ordered rare was over cooked. both meats tasted washed out. The execution of the meat dishes lacked flavour and presentation - its basic pub food. The restaurant for dinner was understaffed, The two girls on the day done an excellent job being under staffed, They worked so well.

Loved the location. Close to Stanthorpe and still close enough to Girraween NP (30min). Cute little wooden chalet nestled in between trees. Comfi beds. All in all perfect for a short stay. We did not miss a thing. The fireplace inside was so good for the cold days and nights. Communal Fireplaces for roasting marshmallows were available. We will come back!!

Cabin was clean, there were good appliances inside cabin. Bed and lounge chairs were very comfortable.

Access to entry was poor. Pathway needs repairing as it is potentially dangerous. TV reception was poor and it cut out a few times. Tap over bathroom sink was very loose and needed repairing. I think charging for firewood was lousy - given the tariff. Cabin appearance was very tired.
