It's a well-kept and clean traditional motel and well set out. It was quiet and I didn't hear any road noise. Location is walking distance to town with a choice of eateries. The room had everything required for a short or longer term stay. Parking was outside the door. The room was a fair bit larger than normal and very comfortable. It had plenty of hot water. The bed, bedding and pillows was heaven. I will be back. Ohhh and the house staff were easy to chat with and appeared very well organised. Keep up the good effort.

A breakfast being offered by reception at checking in would have been good. Covid is gone and its time motels started to offer breaky even if just simple cereal and toast with a decent coffee or even some special beverage and/or unique. I'm sure there is a dining room sitting there not being used. The person in the room next to me was slamming doors etc - could possibly try spacing people out by leaving a spare room between quests until you required. Maybe thinking about upping the maintenance, eg; taps, door hinges and power points - this should help you get closer to being the benchmark of the town. I will be back it's a good place to stay at. Maybe consider adding in USB charging points in the bedside power points.

On our short Australia visit, The Henry Parks stood head and shoulders above all others. Check in was a breeze, all of 60 seconds. Our room was exceptionally spacious and could not be cleaner . Our bed proved more comfortable than my own ( must look at that 😀 )..if I have one gripe it would be the kitchen was sparsely appointed, however I put this down to my not checking more closely when booking. However we managed. Yes, I certainly recommend this property and would be happy to stay again were I again in the area.

We were on a 5 bike motorcycle holiday and stayed at 'The Cottage' at The Henry Parkes Hotel, and what a delight it turned out to be. The hotel staff are exceptionally helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The Cottage is the most beautiful accomodation I've seen and includes a ready to go fire, air con, kitchen, 4 beautiful bedrooms etc etc.. The hotel location is perfect; close to everything. Did I mention the staff are great? Go there, you will love it.

Very welcoming I traveled with a little dog very pet friendly, room was very clean, pet friendly room was secluded from other rooms allowing my dog to walk freely amongst the garden and court yard. Water bowel and a ball provided. I had a car park under cover, close to restaurant. Reception staff very nice and allowed us the room again for second night with our fur baby, ( due to late plan changes) I would definitely go back again if I’m in the area and needing accommodation while traveling with a dog.

The cottage was huge, it allowed all the kids their own space. It was warm and cosy with the fire and more than large enough kitchen area. The beds were comfy and warm, the extra blankets were easy to find and use.

Extra kindling would have helped with the fire. Some of the prefilled conditioners and such were empty. Only thing the cottage missed that would improve it massively is a basic stove or hot plate.

Lovely staff, easy check in , large modern smart tv with access to apps such as Netflix etc

White lights. A great and cheap way to improve the atmosphere of a place is to add warm lights bulbs instead of those horrible bright white lights that make any spaces a bit gloomy. It appears that the older generation prefers those white lights for some reason so it is obviously a very personal taste that doesn’t affect my ratings

Peter the manager was beyond helpful and the staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to be of assistance. My wife and I had a most restful stay in an otherwise stressful time with Cyclone Alfred hitting our home area. We will definitely be back for a weekend now and again. Thank you guys , we had the best time.

Nothing , I don't think it's possible to improve on the service.

We booked a King room and it was so spacious and clean, the king sized bed was extremely comfortable. Our room was set back about 80 metres from the New England Hwy or Rouse Street as the main road through Tenterfield so we had a very peaceful and quiet nights sleep.

The spa bath wasn’t working which would have been nice after a long day’s driving. Decor slightly outdated but definitely not a deal breaker.

We chose it mainly because it was convenient for the trip we were making, but then we found it to be such a lovely place. The staff we encountered at check in and check out was wonderful - he couldn’t have been more kind. The room was very spacious, everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Even though we only stayed 1 night it was perfect for us weary travellers. We were so happy with this accommodation that we stayed again on the return trip.

We stayed two nights at the Henry Parkes motel. We booked a Queen room but when checking in we were upgraded to a larger King bed room at the rear of the property. The room was very quiet, comfortable and an extremely generous size. Our host was very welcoming and we very much appreciated the upgrade. We highly recommended the motel.

No complaints at all.
