I’ve been living in Montenegro for a few years, and most hotels are similar, so I didn’t expect much when I booked Merit Hotel. However, it exceeded all my expectations! The location is amazing—it’s close to the coast and the old town of Budva, so there are plenty of great places to explore nearby. Parking in Budva is tough, but the concierge handles it for you, which is a huge convenience. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. The receptionist greeted us warmly, and the check-in process was quick. While we were waiting for the paperwork, they served us champagne, tea, and sweets—it was such a nice gesture and made us feel right at home. Afterward, the lovely Snezhana showed us to our room and answered all our questions. The service here is exceptional. Every staff member is polite, professional, and speaks excellent English. You can tell they genuinely care about making your stay perfect. The whole team works hard to deliver a top-tier experience, and their efforts are evident in every detail. The hotel even created a WhatsApp group for us with all the information we needed, and responses to any questions were almost instant. It’s such a smart, modern approach! Our room had a panoramic view of the old town and was stunnins, spacious—I felt like I could get lost in it, beautifully designed, and filled with thoughtful details. We even received a complimentary pyramid of sweets and fruits, which made us feel truly welcome. The spa was cozy and relaxing. It’s not very large and doesn’t have a swimming pool, but it was still fantastic. The sauna was great, and the hammam was the best I’ve tried in Montenegro—properly hot and steamy. Our stay at Merit Hotel was amazing. Even though we only stayed for one night, it felt like a proper mini-vacation. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. If I had to choose between one night at Merit or several nights at another hotel, I’d choose Merit without a doubt. I can’t wait to come back!

I loved everything about the Merit Starlit Hotel. The location by the sea is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and very clean, and the entire property feels luxurious. The staff in the hotel were exceptionally friendly and professional. The food was delicious with a wide variety of options. It was a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay.

I didn’t like the attitude of the beach manager. When we arrived, we had to wait for him, and when someone else finally allowed us to take sunbeds by the water, he came over and questioned how we could be there without asking him first. He then made us move, saying those sunbeds were reserved for other guests—even though we also had a reservation. By the evening, around 20 sunbeds by the water were still unoccupied, yet we weren’t allowed to use them. His behavior and attitude were truly inappropriate and disappointing, especially for a hotel of this level.

I just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for the absolutely amazing experience we had during our stay. From the moment we arrived until the very last day, everything was beyond our expectations. Your attention to detail, warmth, and genuine care made this one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The room was spotless and comfortable, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and every part of the service—from the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant—was truly outstanding. You managed to make us feel both at home and pampered at the same time. We were especially touched by your kindness and professionalism. It’s rare to find such a dedicated and thoughtful team, and we were truly impressed. You made our time in Montenegro unforgettable. We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and were overall very satisfied. The service was excellent – there was plenty of staff, and they responded quickly and kindly to all requests. Breakfast was served à la carte instead of a buffet. Unfortunately, there was no bread selection and the side dishes were the same every day, which became a bit repetitive. One downside: smoking is allowed in the restaurant, which can be disturbing during meals. Otherwise, the location was great and the service outstanding. Overall, a pleasant stay with room for small improvements.

Very nice and brand new hotel, the service is excellent. The location is great close to the beach and Budva old town. The personnel working in the reception and restaurant are extremely professional and nice. They provided us with all information we needed during our stay. The Hotel manager is a very professional person, he supported us with an issue we had in one night. All in all I highly recommend the hotel and we will be definitely back ! One recommendation is to provide more choice for the breakfast..after 3 days it kind of gets repetitive.

Nothing much...maybe just one night there was a guest partying in the room and making a lot of noise. But the hotel managed the situation in a very quick and efficient way.

The hotel’s private bay, accessible by shuttle, was a highlight of our trip — peaceful, pristine, and perfectly organized. We would also like to sincerely thank Ozan at the beach for making us feel truly special with his constant attentiveness and refined service. And none of this would have been possible without the incredible effort and hospitality of Ms. Müge and Ms. Özge. Your flawless coordination and warm smiles made our entire experience seamless and unforgettable. We left with hearts full of joy and gratitude. We are already looking forward to returning — hopefully very soon.

Fabulous hotel from A to Z. There are a few things to emphasize in particular: - Private beach with shuttle speed boat - Modern design in every detail - Valet parking - A la carte breakfast with wide variety of options (including gluten free bread) - Customer care via WhatsApp (special thanks to Milena, amazingly client oriented). Hotel is not cheap but fully worth it! Even water in the room is glass bottle Aqua Panna. Bravo! Totally recommended!

I was always thinking that such type of luxury hotel should have a swimming pool which was not the case to our big surprise.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were very clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged. What truly stood out was the staff — everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. A special thank you to Deniz and Nadya, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. As well as Musa from Mogren 2 beach. They were always ready to assist with anything we needed. Thanks to people like them, this place really feels welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone who values cleanliness, quality, and exceptional service!

While the properties may be exceptionally beautiful but what makes ones stay memorable is the hospitality of the staff. There is something very unique about the people who work there. Right from their leader Oguzhan Guver, Natasha -our one point contact at the hotel , indeed an excellent amiable, warm personality, who saw to or that our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. I must mention two very sweet and extremely likable people . Ahmet and Beyza from the breakfast restaurant. They made us always feel special and we would have stayed in over 100 hotels globally, however , they created a life lasting memory in our lives. I wish all the best to the entire team and look forward to stay again at the property. I would highly , highly , highly recommend this property for pampering you and making your stay extremity comfortable and memorable one.

It’s not a comment on the hotel but generally , very limited options for vegetarian food. Also the food choices are limited for our type of visitors , who don’t eat beef, pork and lots of cheese
