A short and pleasant stay in Volos. Location of the hotel is very nice, nearby restaurants and coffee shops. Clean and functional room with new A/C which allowed to work confortably during the really hot hours of the summer.

I booked a double room for one person only, because there were not any available single rooms through booking. However, when I arrived the hotel had single rooms available, but my payment was nonrefundable. So I suggest that the hotel makes a larger variety of rooms available through booking.

We used the Philippos Hotel as a stopping point on the way to the north. The location is ideal, with easy access to the port and shopping. Car parking was free, although the hotel has three parking bays right outside, but all were taken. Thanassis was on duty that evening, and Katerina the next morning, and both were friendly and knowledgeable, with excellent English.

Air conditioning! The air conditioning in the rooms is situated right above heads. It was impossible to sleep when it was on (no matter how you set it), and it was impossible to sleep without it because it was too hot. The whole hotel has wrongly situated air conditioning; it's a shame as everything else is excellent.

We needed a place to stay for a night next to the Volos port and this hotel was very close, nice, clean and comofrtable. Wish we had time to explore Volos more, but the stay for a night was pleasant. We came by car, there is a big parking area right next to the hotel, that was quite important for us.

The breakfast could be a bit more diverse in choice to include some fresh salad.

Excellent cleanliness, great job of the cleaning lady. Very good location. Kind and helpful staff.

A better coffee should be an option for the breakfast buffet. The coffee offered was not drinkable.

We stayed for a night only to take the ferry next morning. Staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, location is ideal and the whole stay was brilliant.

The AC unit targets the bed which isn’t very good but that was only a minor glitch.

Really clean hotel. The rooms are also clean. Nice mini fridge. Staff is friendly and helps out where they can. It's at the end of the city center, perfect spot.

* No way to keep the bathroom dry when in the shower, no door to close it. * Beds were hard as rocks. Not comfortable at all. * Parking can be quite difficult. There is a parking area really nearby, but almost always full. Best is to wait around on the parking in your car for a parking spot. And you need to buy parkingtickets for every hour at a kiosk. Ask the hotel staff how it works and what times you need to put a ticket in front of your window.

The hotel is a great place to stay in Volos when shopping or before catching the ferry to the islands. It is centrally located close to shops and restaurants. The receptionist was extremely helpful.

We stayed just one night but the place had all the essentials. We were very happy it was pet friendly and we could stay with our small dog. It’s super close to the port which is great as we had to catch an early ferry. Reception was very friendly and helpful : )

Bed and pillows could have been a tiny bit softer, but that’s a personal preference I guess

The people working there were really kind helping, the rooms were clean and well put together also the view on our balcony in the morning and at night was really nice
