The room was quite spacious and very comfortable throughout. The bathroom was spacious and the shower too. The restaurant was very cosy and the bar very warm. The entire atmosphere was warm and friendly and there was live music as well on Saturday afternoon/evening which was great!

The only thing I was missing in the room was mini fridge or mini cooler, as I came in a warm day and tried to keep my water cooled.... In Amy case, the bar staff were happy to refill my bottle with water, and happily my room was nearby☺️

The hotel rooms were clean. The breakfast was different from other hotels, as it did to consist of a buffet like other hotels would, but instead would have the food made fresh similar to when eating out at a restaurant. The location was lovely. The scenery outside the hotel would be a perfect place to spend during weekend .

The hotel rooms were average as if any other hotel.

I liked the restaurant, the food was great. We are vegetarians and there were a few options for us. The staff were very helpful and made a big effort for my husband as it was his birthday. The breakfast was nice, there is a cooked and continental selection. The room was warm and the bathroom a good size and clean.

When in our room, the upstairs floorboards were very squeaky and loud, and you could hear every step. I would suggest adding a vegetarian/vegan sausage on the breakfast.

Enjoyed a room upgrade which was lovely but have no idea what the other rooms would have been like. The bathroom was outstanding. Fortunate to stay on a Wednesday to take advantage of a £10 carvery, great value for money! Buffet breakfast at £10 also great value. Friendly staff always makes or breaks a stay. Couldn't really find fault with anything but wasn't looking to in any case. All reviews are personal opinions based on personal experience. if nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all!!

Not that I didn't like but the QR code in the bedroom for information , we don't have on our mobile phone nicer to have it written for you to see. As you enter the Hotel there are quite a few large pot holes to maneuver which was a bit awkward .

Restaurant and bar area was recently refurbished, very nicely. Good-sized car park. Service was polite, clear and efficient. Room was clean and recently refurbished. Bed was comfortable. A very pleasant stay overall.

On arrival, the radiator in the room was noisy until the thermostat kicked in (45min). Noise between rooms, due to lack of insulation or thin walls.

The grounds to the hotel and downstairs decor was lovely - modern and clean. Plenty of parking too.

Breakfast was a nightmare. There were lots of people waiting for food to come out, staff standing by idly watching the food running out and not going to order more. The island in the dining room appeared to be poorly organised. Glasses by the coffee station and butter on the wrong side too. Just the little things. The food was good once it was available. We booked two double rooms. Both double bed has very poor mattresses, a spring gone in one (room 204) and thin, with no depth or firmness (203). Having air con in the rooms was tough as it was hot outside too. Thankfully there was a fan.

Decent sized rooms, great breakfast. The whole place is a bit tired and could do with a repaint, but it's survived 2 years of lockdown and the price reflects what's on offer. Despite the fact that many of the wedding guests were staying at the hotel we weren't disturbed at all given they must've got to bed a lot later than us.

The hotel had weddings booked for both nights of our stay but didn't tell us until we arrived. On the first night we were told we had to use a separate room as the restaurant which was a bit weird because it was obviously a large function room that had a few tables and chairs set out in it. When we sat down the other guests seemed a bit grumpy, and we soon found out why. Even though our order was taken quickly the time taken to get each course was incredibly long - we waited so long for any member fo staff to appear to ask us about dessert that we gave up. The second night of our stay we ate somewhere else.

Everything about this hotel was above and beyond , price we paid for a Saturday was amazing the rooms where spotless lovely bar area with live music on the Saturday night , amazing locally produced food in the restaurant at bargain price would have paid more , great breakfast plenty on offer would highly recommend this hotel for a stay

I was anxious after reading some bad reviews but my husband, toddler and I had a great stay. The staff were all wonderful, very friendly and informative. The location was good for us as we were visiting family close by. Our room was clean, had everything we needed and the bathroom looked quite new. The carpet was a bit dated but there was no signs of mould or damp or anything else I had read about. We would be happy to stay here again.
