The spa was fabulous, one of the best my friend and I have ever used. The afternoon tea was excellent, though it might be nice to be able to have a cold drink i.e. juice, as well as a tea or coffee, not a choice of one or other, though water was freely available. It was very busy when we arrived and there was a queue, so although we arrived just after our start time of 1pm, it took around 15-20 minutes to get checked in to be able to start using the facilities. The staff were checking out guests and also dealing with purchases as well as checking guests in. Perhaps, a little constructive criticism, at peak times more staff are needed to deal with this to prevent delays to guests arriving and reducing the time allotted to use the facilities. We were not that bothered, but others could have complained. It was lovely having drinks delivered to you in the jacuzzi and pods. Dinner was very good though we would like to try Vines next time. I wasn't aware of a choice of restaurants when I called to book. The quality of food and service was very good. Check in and check out were brilliant. Especially a blonde lady who did both and was very helpful, friendly and accommodating.

The room we stayed in was very warm and we struggled to get the heating to turn off and stay off or reduce and stay low, as it kept flipping back on and higher than we wanted it to be. As we were tired, we didn't want to call an engineer out at night, so left it until morning. We did feed it back the next morning and the team including the management dealt with this matter excellently.

Carden Park has something for everyone. I have been a regular customer for many years both Leisure and Business and it is excellent all round. Hotel and Spa Garden & Thermal Suite facilities are top class. Classy decorated lounges and bars. Staff are attentive and friendly. Pristine clean throughout the hotel. Gardens beautifully maintained with unique sculptures. 2 golf courses of choice.

Nothing with regard to Carden Park. It can be pricey with booking.com so check with hotel also direct for possibly a more competitive price. Or request a price match if the cost difference varies significantly to get the best deal.

My favourite hotel. I feel myself relax as soon as I arrive. Rooms are huge, food including bar snacks is tasty. The on-site activities are great. The leisure club is also nice with a large pool and jacuzzi. Grounds are beautiful and very well kept.

A discounted rate for the spa would be nice.

Attractive setting, outstanding spa facilities

Ground floor annex room location did not have any views (in fact poor) and is set away from main building. Although understandable from booking late this was not made clear. Also, very noisy when guests in adjacent rooms returned at 2am!! Suggest notice about respecting other guests as they leave main hotel? Disappointing that hotel of this calibre had no bathrobes or vanity set. No shower cap provided (expected given the price of rooms) - Reception did provide when asked. Stayed 3 nights, maybe an oversight but bins not emptied and tissues as well as loo roll not replenished

Rooms were too warm. Drinks were overpriced, housekeeping were talking outside our door quite early in the morning. Unable to visit Spa garden as fully booked, unable to eat in the Vines as not open on Weds evenings. Lack of dress code in Redmonds for dinner. Some people were in shorts and trainers. Lack of room service.

The hotel was absolutely gorgeous! Me and my partner came for a night away and it was a beautiful place, only booked a standard double room and the room was huge with a balcony! The bed was really comfortable too and the shower is heaven. The only thing I would say is the leisure centre in the hotel should maybe have some sort of adults only after 5pm. Me and my partner was not really able to relax as there were so many kids in the pool about 6pm! Also, I know the other spa is bookable however residents staying at the hotel get no discount off the spa packages after spending £250 for 1 night! Like I said, very nice hotel however for the price of one night I feel as though you should get some sort of discount price for the spa as that’s what most the hype about this hotel is :(

Location and room were lovely

I had travelled 250 miles from Devon for some chill out time with a friend who had travelled 50 miles to meet me there for a relaxing catch up. We had planned to spend a few hours in the pool / jacuzzi / steam room so were very disappointed to find kids in the pool doing what kids do - noisy, dive bombing etc. They weren't behaving particularly badly but it wasn't what I expected to find and meant we only spent half an hour in the room due to the noise. Maybe I was being naïve but I wouldn't have booked had I known, it was far from relaxing and not the time I had hoped for.

Hotel was well decorated and amenities very good

Bed was a little small for 2 adults to share and a bit hard but everything else was lovely.

Beautiful grounds, luxurious lounges downstairs and nice comfortable rooms. Great breakfast.

We attended a wedding and my husband stayed with the groom on the first night. His belongings were brought to our room the next day however his suit bag and hanger was lost. Secondly a member of staff phoned a few days before to ask if we wanted to book into a restaurant. When I advised I had a newborn baby she wasn’t particularly friendly or warm and just replied that I would have to pay extra to add the child to the room. Lastly although it did feel high end I think £299 a night I’d rather steep.

Room was large enough for the three of us and was very clean with good housekeeping. Breakfast was good, but seen wider range at other hotels, had a little mix up with kippers order on second night. Dinner was good, but had better else where, with wider choice. The selection of activities was good, but reception were not aware of height restriction on the Vertigo course, but were aware of age restriction. Age and height restriction are not aligned as there are not many 6 year olds that are over 1.3m. The activity team were able to sort alternatives and were very helpful.

Overall a good experience that has room for improvement. The mini golf was not available.
