Quick and efficent checkin, breakfast was amazing. Best night sleep in ages. Staff always helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking available, only have to check in your car when you arrive and covers you for the duration of your stay. 10 minutes from Chester Zoo and 15 mins from Cheshire Oaks designer village.

Every day, there was a nasty putrid smell, either issues with drainage or a local farmer spreading muck. Not pleasant at all. Entrance into the hotel from the A483 could do with looking at, could cause a nasty accident as you have to cross 2 lanes of live traffic ,although you can go to the next roundabout and come back on yourself.

Nice, friendly and helpful staff. Pool was nice and breakfast was lovely. Great location 10 mins walk to a park and ride bus stop to go into Chester.

The wait on food in the evening was long and some orders got mixed up. Not much table space in the bar/lounge area for families to eat around together. The large restaurant was only being used for breakfast during our stay when it was busy with the school holidays. Our food was nice enough when it arrived, though and a good dinner, bed and breakfast deal. I got the impression they were a bit short staffed in the kitchen and waiting on staff but the available staff tried their best.

I booked 4 persons bedroom but finally not prepared the sofabed. After called the reception, the room service helpers provided excellent service. Hope they keep this good service and skills. Due to no mini bar at the room, I went to bar and want to get the ice bucket. The bar tenders, that 2 ladies were very rude when I request the ice bucket. I don't know why they provide the very bad attitude. At the end, due to my daughter was sick at the night time, we need more tissue, the disable reception came and get the tissue for us. She provided amazing service and happy face to us. I really appreciate her help.

We really like the breakfast, it was great. Everything taste very good and it had a variety of options between fruits, cold cuts, eggs, bacon, toasts and juice. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice too.

There was a lot of people in the pool (it was crowded so the manager told us we could't go in). Unfortunately we couldn't wait so long because we had other plans for our dinner. We wish we could enjoy the pool after a long day. The sofa bed was too small for two adults and it was uncomfortable. When we were reaching our room there were 2 buckets holding water from the ceiling, so that make us think where we gotten into. Although the rest of the hotel looks good.

The long walk to room! The sofa bed for my daughter was not very comfortable. The springs could be felt through the mattress. The lighting in the room was complicated. We tried to swim one night and there was a class. On one wall was opening times of pool and on another wall was a timetable showing an aqua class. We turned up ready to swim at aqua class time and were turned away. Maybe the hotel could ask of you were going to use the pool then give you more information. The serving choice for the mushrooms and beans was a big pot which was way too hot and the tissue they put on it was not good enough

The staff are all friendly and very helpful, carrying our luggage up to the room. The food is excellent. The breakfast has absolutely everything, it was amazing. The room was very comfortable with the addition of a fridge and bath robes making it home from home. The shower was wonderful, very powerful, the shower gel and shampoo provided are gorgeous with a beautiful scent. It was nice that they had some Christmas treats you could help yourself to, mince pies, satsuma and chocolate milk. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are lovely. There is also plenty of parking which is free.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Staff were exceptional and could not have been any more helpful during our entire stay.

We signed up to membership of your reward scheme , no house keeping for two weeks,nobody was really able to explain how the points were gained, for a 14night stay we were awarded 9000 points,apparently the points differ in each hotel,I think the scheme should be written down so as people booking a stay can understand the pros and cons of the scheme. If I had been able to fully understand what I was signing up for l would have refused to join and would have had a more comfortable stay. R Fairweather.

I have stayed in many of these types of hotels, usually great for the money. However this holiday in was better! The pool was really warm, the bathroom was way above an average hotel. The kids were so excited to see chocolate tea cakes and biscuits left for them in the room and the breakfast and service was the best one we have had, it was just better quality. For example the croissants were actually warm and crisp, not like the cheap ones you usually get. There was even a fridge in our room! Fantastic place 5*

I wish I had known the sofa bed was so small, my 14 year old and 16 year old couldn't fit on it, will know for next time

Room was comfortable and clean. We had an executive family room which had the benefit of a coffee machine as well as a mini fridge which was great to keep drinks nice and cold. The room had air con which was nice. Swimming pool and leisure facilities were lovely and staff were brilliant.

Only downside was using the table apps for food puts on a service charge that you have to ask to be removed and doesn’t do the free kids meals. This is the same for room service app you have to charge to room then have reception put in the free kids that come with the room booking. Service charges should be optional and should not be forced to pay them or have to go to staff to ask for them to be removed.

Rooms were clean and had a nice layout. Staff were pleasant. Swimming pool was great for the kids. Breakfast had a good choice. A little busy on the first day but maybe this was due to bank holiday weekend. Location was good

The restaurant for evenings didn’t really make sense. The tables are too small for a family of 4 and the chairs are uncomfortable for eating (they are comfortable for lounging but we were there to eat). It would make more sense if the breakfast restaurant was the main restaurant. We ate dinner one evening and paid £68 which I would usually say is ok but I was told kids eat free so would only be paying for me and my husbands meal which I had a starter (small nachos) and we both had a burger meal. We had 4 drinks aswell but to pay £68 was very overpriced in my opinion and so we chose not to eat there again.
