The hotel was comfortable, spotlessly clean, very well located, and felt extremely safe. The room was beautifully decorated and the entire place smelled amazing.

The housekeeping staff was quite loud every morning, which made it difficult to sleep in. I had to wake up each day to the noise they were making, and although this was the only issue I experienced, it was rather frustrating. Also, having to pay for Wi-Fi doesn’t quite fit with expectations in 2025. Of course, this is the hotel’s policy and it was clearly stated on Booking.com, so this is just a personal opinion. But perhaps including Wi-Fi in the room rate—by raising it slightly, say $15 (daily wifi rate)—might come across as more refined.

Room was super comfortable and quiet, excellent king size bed, super amenable maid services. The property is well maintained with plenty of gathering spots indoors and out.

At the Fairmont everything is ala cart, internet, tv, ect. unless of course one joins there program which they send you a link to but your unable to open unless you pay for internet which I believe is about 30 dollars for 24 hours. The health club at the facility is well equipped and has a lap pool but in the basement is poorly ventilated, despite numerous air scrubbing machines throughout the facility which is kind on an subterrain labyrinth. The lap pool area has an excess of Chlorine gas which of course makes your swim a bit more of a challenge.

Room service was great! Appreciated flexible housekeepers who would still service room even though we typically did not leave until noon or afterwards. I also tremendously appreciated the turn-down service which included leaving ice in the room. Truly felt like royalty!

The surround sound system was not working.

We had a beautiful stay at the Fairmont. It's a large hotel that feels like a smaller boutique hotel. Staff is impeccably trained, and so friendly rather than stiff. They make the place really seem like a home away from home. Though the hotel and furnishings are older, they are very well taken care of and make the place seem more homey. I'm so tired of the generic modern hotel rooms that all look alike. Nice fluffy robes, great towels, super comfy beds and large bathrooms with actual BATHTUBS. Cocktails at the bar are expensive but really good.

Food in the restaurant and bar could be more varied. Everything was delicious though. Don't like the mini bar situation. If you move a bottle, even just to pick it up and look at it, you get charged. I mentioned this to reception and they immediately took if off our bill and sent us up a separate mini fridge so we could put our own things in there. This is very minor, but their slippers fall apart after a day, though they do look very nice.

Not the first time we were at the Fairmont, and the choice to ccome back was easy. The rooms are large and well equipped and the beds are AMAZING! The location of the hotel in between downtown DC and Georgetown is ideal. Just a short stroll and you're in Georgetown with restaurants and shops. Metrostation is close by. There were large (wedding) parties at the courtyard of the hotel. Luckily we had our room to the outside of the hotel.

As we had the experience in the past of the high priced breakfast, not meeting ur expectations, we didn't have breakfast in the hotel. There are plenty of bakeries and other nice places to have a good breakfast. The AC/ vents in the room is loud, probably an older system. Even when one switches the AC off entirely, the noise stays.

Room is roomy; hotel staffs are very polite; location is great for our stay.

1. After checking in, we found a box of ink in our room (most likely left behind by previous hotel guests). Hotel should have checked the room before our stay. 2. The bathroom door cannot be locked though it did nor really affect our stay. We did report to hotel when check out, so it can be taken care of for the next guest. 3. Room fridge is full with drinks; cannot put our fruit or water in at all. It will be best if it can be arranged to be half packed so guest can use it also.

The location was excellent because we were going to the Kennedy Center.

I booked and paid for three rooms for my family to come in to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I was told that this hotel specializes in acknowledging birthdays. Two rooms were booked directly with the hotel. The third room was booked for two nights through Bookings.com. I mentioned on both platforms his birthday. No one word was mentioned. Also I found the activity in the lobby was super charged in the afternoon and evening of our stay. We have stayed at this chain’s hotels in Ottawa and Boston and it wasn’t the same caliber.

Great location, next to M street, shops on both sides ,nice cafés beautiful morning walk alongside the lake .. the best time, not the summer, for sure! Regardless of the season, the hotel location was the best. Not to forget to mention that the staff was friendly and so helpful 😊

I never had allergies from animals, but this time was constant and uncomfortable once I left the hotel. I'm ok. I knew that I've developed allergies against pets 🤧
