Comfortable beds, large rooms, super convenient to Forge and Vine restaurant/bar

Room cleaned every 3rd day, which was fine, but trying to understand when this would be done was frustrating. When you pay this much for a room you'd expect an easier process for getting your overflowing garbage can dumped. I hate feeling like a nag for what should be routine housekeeping service.

I had a wonderful experience. The bed was plush and firm enough to support an aging back. My linens were light and the duvet was a perfect mix between light, fluffy, and cold/warm balance. The pillows were beautifully supportive. I usually sleep with the A/C at 60. So the fact that I slept like like I was put out with anesthesia for 7 hours is about the most incredible experience ever. I asked them for their bed, pillow, and linen set, as my partner and I will be checking it out. Oh, the shower was great, with heavy pressure and luxury soaps. The restaurant nearby has a great bar, good food, albeit pricey, and a great scenic view.

1/3 windows weren't blocked off with curtains.

It was beautiful from first glance, and only got better! The young lady at check-in was very friendly, with a warm smile. She was still there (and still friendly) upon our return from a concert at Bull Run. The room was clean, and the bed was firm - not lumpy - with plump pillows, not pancakes! Our only regret is that we couldn't experience the gorgeous courtyard or the Forge & Vine! So... I guess we'll have to come back!

Awkward to have the buffet table in the lobby and the need to carry food and beverages into the dining area. The plastic containers and paper plates seem out of place for a fairly pricey room. They're also tricky to carry the half mile to the dining area. :)

At breakfast, the yogurt cup with fruit was good, but just hard-boiled eggs and no other protein was disappointing.

Beautiful rooms, best hotel decor I’ve seen, beautiful local art in the lobby. The front porch with the rocking chairs is lovely, all decorated for fall.

Was hoping for a smart TV, my boyfriend and I are big movie/tv people and love to relax and watch a movie when we stay at hotels. The tv was nice but just offered cable, would have loved a smart TV with streaming services!

Breakfast was good - the croissants ran out (popular item) but staff replaced them with more shortly.

There was a craft fair scheduled for the day of the morning we departed. People were coming in and out of the lobby through the front vestibule frequently. It was consequently very cold while having breakfast unless you were sitting right by the fireplace.

Modern construction of an historic inn that burned down ab15 years ago. Everything was in excellent condition, and the grounds were beautiful. Super comfortable bed. Great breakfast.

The glass shelves in the bathroom were dusty, and the GFI outlet near the sink did not seem to operate properly. The street is very busy, although there are chairs out front, it’s too noisy to want to sit there.

We were originally on the 3rd (top) floor. There was a rumbling noise that began at 6:30am that woke us up. The woman at the front desk did not know what the noise was. We were able to change to a room on the second floor. They were very accommodating.

The property is beautiful, the restaurant was great. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

Parking in the back and having to walk around the building in the cold to check in. A little sign saying, “please check in at the front desk. Doors are locked and accessible only with your room key,” would have at least made it clear. This is really all I could come up with.

The location was perfect for me. Just a couple of blocks from my niece's house. The continental breakfast provided a nice selection and I was happy with it. Especially getting to eat it in front of the fireplace!
