The owner (Son) was exceptional - he couldn't be more helpful. He picked us up on arrival for free. There were bicycles that we could use for free. Son made sure that we had everything we needed throughout our stay, we asked for a fan for the room, which he was happy to provide. The area underneath the bungalow was great, with a table to eat breakfast and a hammock to relax in, Son even provided us with an extra hammock. He took our breakfast order every evening and made sure that it was ready as soon as we were up. He organised our excursion to the caves (there are many options to choose from), he marked restaurant suggestions on our Google maps, he organised our taxi to the airport when we left. He sells beer and soft drinks at a very reasonable price. The swimming pool was lovely, he was constantly cleaning it. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided daily.

The Bungalows location is great. The owner can’t do enough to help you and will assist with anything including excellent restaurant recommendations. The owner showed us what tours were available and helped us book a great day out to the caves. They also picked us from the bus stop and dropped us back off their after our stay with breakfast at 7am which was lovely. The pool was great and there were drinks on tap which you paid for at the end of your stay. We loved the balcony at the back of the bungalow and also made use of the laundry service which was very helpful. The moped hire was easy too. Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend.

The bungalows were absolutely amazing, beds were comfy and spacious, great views out of the back on a morning, water pressure was good. All top of the range, and for the price are a steal. But none of this compares to the customer service. Never had anything like it, the owner running this property helped us with absolutely everything he could, he booked tours for us, fed us with excellent breakfasts on a morning and even let us use his scooter when we went out for a meal. Very funny guy too! If I could have given more stars I would have. Fantastic stay and will be back. Thank you very much for having us!

Exceptional- Mr Son was the kindest and most helpful host in our five weeks of travelling. From pickup at the train station to drop-off at the coach station, our stay was five-star. A lovely little oasis in Phong Nha, nice pool and cute cabins on stilts (with fantastic views over the fields). We booked the family room; however, he offered us other rooms when they became free, so we had more space. His recommendations made our trip to Phong Nha lovely; the restaurants, the duck farm and tours were all great. Phong Nha and the accommodation became our favourite destination in our five weeks. Without doubt- book Hung Phat Bungalows, Mr Son will make your trip to Phong Nha one to remember.

We loved our stay at the bungalow. The owner and his wife were both very kind and helpful. We arrived in the morning and Mr Son already had a room ready for us which was a nice surprise. He also helped us organise our transport which made it all stress free for us. There was also a home cooked breakfast each day which you could eat while looking at the amazing scenery. The location is beautiful, with fields and mountains right next to the property. The town was also only a 5 minute bicycle ride away, and they provided us with bicycles for free. We also used the bicycles for exploring the area. The bungalow was comfortable and had a lovely view, and we loved the peaceful outdoor spaces with chairs and hammocks to relax in. It was great value for money and such a relaxing place to stay - we would happily come back again!

Perfect place to stay in this beautiful area. A little out of town, but within walking distance or short bike ride of the town. Views across the Rice fields from this quaint little bungalow up on stilts to capture the breeze and views. Perfect little spot underneath with tables and chairs, and a hammock to relax, lovely cool spot in the heat. Owner picked us up from the bus stop. Clean good sized pool to swim in, much appreciated in the heat . We couldn’t fault this place with breakfast included brought to our table and the friendliest of owners. Houses were only too happy to assist with booking tours, etc. plus provided free bicycle use. There are some amazing bike rides in the area through local villages and country roads. The most beautiful little restaurant just down the road, highly recommended. This is the perfect place to stay in Phong Nha.

This is a great place to stay. The price is amazing for everything that is there. Breakfast includes bread, cream cheese, watermelon, and a warm option (pancakes, omelettes etc). The owner is really friendly and great help. The peddle bikes are free to use and it’s a nice cycle to the main street with lots of food options. We cycled to the duck farm which was a bit far in the heat. We also rented a moped for very cheap. The owner explained everything and showed us the best way to go on google maps. They also help to arrange tours. Everything is clean including the pool.

If I had to be really picky the shower was quite harsh and stabby, water pressure wise.

Mr Son was always keen to help, whether it be organising tours, offering food recommendations or picking up and dropping off in the car. He was humorously pushy with his recommendations sometimes but had good intentions! The bungalow was compact but had enough space for your things and the views were beautiful. The pool was well maintained and the breakfast was varied. We had the noodle soup every morning which came with tea or coffee and watermelon. You can borrow bicycles to cycle around which we used for going to the Duck stop. For the price, it was a great stay and we enjoyed our time.

The room had a sulphurous smell when flushing the toilet and using the sink. It disappeared after using the A/C for a while. It was quite difficult showering as well due to the size of the room so my partner had to crouch due to his height. The Duck Stop wasn't close and was a difficult bike ride despite it being recommended to us, so cycle there with caution!

This was the most perfect stay in Phong Nha; if I could recommend anywhere it would be here. Perfect cosy little room with balcony space both sides that overlooks the rice fields and en-suite bathroom. Slanted roof and so atmospheric in the morning and evening. The host looked after me so so well, he took my laundry off my bill, drove me everywhere I needed to go, and even spontaneously picked me up when it was raining. He arranged cave tours for me and booked me on a sleeper bus last minute a total sweetheart, not to mention making me chocolate banana pancakes in the morning. Loved it so much hope to be back soon ❤️❤️

One of the nicest bungalows we’ve stayed in our travels around Asia! Room was clean on arrival with nice small balcony area to sit and admire beautiful views of rice fields. Didn’t have a chance to use pool! Host was great - really generous in both picking us up and dropping us at bus station on arrival/departure free of charge & going out of his way. He was also very kind in sorting out our onwards bus ticket and providing info on trips we may wish to do in local area. Scooter rental for 150K a day and free push bikes were perfect to explore local area. Added bonus was complimentary breakfast was 10/10 every morning. Thank-you so much for having us again’
