The venue is more like a suites hotel and an apartment. It is clean, fresh and relatively new. Our apartment had a kitchen diner, 2 bedrooms (1 on-suite), a bathroom and a private veranda overlooking the garden. Each morning (except Sundays) they leave freshly baked bread rolls outside the door, and there is free coffee/tea/hot chocolate along with biscuits available in the reception area. The kitchen is well stocked and the WiFi was excellent with a download speed of 67mbps. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent, being just a short walk to the town centre and one of the cable car lifts. On the day of departure the lady on reception kindly printed out our boarding passes for us. The venue emailed us on arrival with a list of forthcoming activities in the town and immediate area, as a result of which, we attended a concert by a string orchestra, some Alpine Horn music in one of the valleys, an evening of live music in a local bar, and one of our party attended a wood-carving class. We also used the included free passes for the nearby swimming pool, which is an excellent facility.

I thought that charging 10 Euros a day for parking outside the hotel was excessive. I would rather they built this into the price as it seems mean to charge extra when you are already paying quite a lot for accommodation. I also felt it was mean to charge 8 Euros to use the washing machines. If you had a full load that wouldn't be so bad, but people on holiday only really need to wash a few items at a time.

The Residence Villa Stella was absolutely beautiful with friendly and helpful staff. We were offered a free upgrade to a room with a stunning view of Ortisei and surrounding mountains. The room was comfortable and clean. Complimentary fresh bread at your door each morning was a bonus. I highly recommend staying here!

The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The fresh bread rolls in the morning were delicious! Our view of the mountains were spectacular. The location is a short walk to the centre of town but also mid way to Resciesa funicular and Alpe di Siusi and not too far up in the hills. We found the guest pass that was provided for the buses were invaluable and the public transportation is very good and far less expensive then taking the lifts and gondola’s for day walking.

The lighting on the balconies are very bright with no option to turn them off. As it was quite warm at night we desperately wanted to keep the balcony door open for the fresh air but the light was so bright, it wasn’t possible. There is a automatic shutter that closes but it essentially shuts out the breeze. This was one major flaw otherwise the apartment had an amazing view and was very comfortable. The pool is not on site as we had hoped (unfortunately the booking.com filter is useless in this aspect) and a 10 min walk away…pool passes are provided as well but we never did go as it felt to far walking through town in beach attire.

Just perfect place for vacation in Orteisei. Beautiful view, clean rooms and great personal. Close to main lifts up to all directions of Dolomite Alps moutains.

Villa Stella is very safety conscious, with door kept locked all the time and entry only available with the key card. Both our room and the rest of the property was spotless when we arrived, and the property remained so for the duration of our stay. Those buns in the morning! Both Karen and the receptionist (sorry, I forgot your name!) were approachable and always willing to assist. The property is centrally located and very close to two of the cable cars/funicular that takes you to all those wonderful places. We have many pleasant memories of our stay at this wonderful place, and would recommend it to everybody. Our collective rating for Villa Stella was a 9.5/10.

As previous posters commented, there is no oil and other amenities like salt available and we could not bring it along (all three other properties we used during our travels did). Not sure why we should pay for outside parking in summer.

What can I say? Our experience at Residence Villa Stella was amazing, all we could hope for. The fully equipped kitchen was so helpful and we used it daily, the Despar supermarket is a five minute walk and has all supplies and fresh food needed. The rooms were comfortable and the views from our balconies were just like the pictures. Kids enjoyed the table tennis and the free coffee and hot chocolate machine got a workout. Loved the fresh bread delivered daily. The location is perfect, a short walk to town and all the chairlifts. We had a fantastic time.

Coffee facilities were downstairs Didn’t suit us as my husband can’t function without caffeine so I had to scoot down each morning to fetch the complimentary coffee Quality problem, but would be nice to have facilities in the room

The staff were so friendly, helpful & efficient. They upgraded me to a beautiful apartment with a balcony overlooking the village & the mountains, making my holiday an exceptional experience. Free use of the coffee machine, biscuits & plumbcake in plentiful supply as well as fresh rolls delivered every morning, catered for breakfast & morning tea. The hotel is as romantic as the pictures & is within 300m of the Seceda Ski lifts & the reticulated walkway to the centro area. A free bus ticket was supplied allowing access to Selva for the Sellaronda & to & from Bolzano Train Station. The Ski-room was large, easily accessible & dried all your equipment.

The village was built on the side of a hill, so there were some holly walks, though not too far to & from the centro area.

Incredible views! Great location! The staff were so kind and helpful! I can't put into words how lovely our stay at Residence Villa Stella was. Beyond the beautiful views and tastefully designed interior, the service was impeccable (especially Tiziana)! The airline lost our checked luggage, but we were able to borrow some equipment which totally saved our trip. The location is great - we are happy to stayed in Ortisei - everything we needed was a short walk away. Thanks again, we look forward to visiting again soon! Note: We rented a car from Venice and drove there, but a bus-pass was provided for us. In the future, we would not rent a car, as everything we needed was within walking distance (and we used the bus passes to visit neighboring towns)
