We had a oceanfront room with a balcony, and our view was stunning. I loved the location of our room. Quiet and peaceful.

I would have loved either continental breakfast included with our stay or free parking. I think if you’re a guest at the hotel, you should have complimentary parking. I feel $30 a night is a little steep.

LOCATION WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Just crossed the stop light and I was in heaven on the beach. I LOVE that the location of the hotel is on the much, much quieter and solitary part of Carlsbad. There is also restroom access due to the RV/tent site in between the beach and the beach access from the hotel. IT WAS ALSO SO, SO WONDERFUL that there is a covered parking structure just right across the hotel. Parking was a breeze, thought not cheap for overnight parking. Loved that the walls were well insulated. I was worried because we stayed for 4th of July and there were a lot of guests. Our room overlooked the pool area, but, we did not hear a thing with all the guests at the pool and lots of guests in the hotel. Didn't hear door slamming, didn't hear people walking by or taking showers. That's a huge problem for me wherever I go. I didn't have to use my earplugs! I always bring a pair now when I check in to a hotel due to inevitable noise from neighbors. I was REALLY SURPRISED how well insulated the rooms are!

Check-in took almost an hour until our room was ready. I checked 3x at the desk for our room. That's the FIRST time in my life of traveling where my room wasn't ready at the time it's supposed to be, which they said at 4pm. Parking is WAY OVERPRICED, but so convenient. We can't win with parking fees.

Absolutely everything about the stay was perfect! I can truly say from check in to check out was the most pleasurable trip I've ever had! The valet servicer named Beck, another young man and woman made ea h shuttle trip I needed right on time! The room and view was absolutely gorgeous and priceless. This was the best Birthday/Anniversary ever! Thank you Cape Rey!

No complaints besides coffee to be served at 5 for the early birds :)

loved the restaurant, my girlfriend and I ate at it several times through out our stay from breakfast, to lunch to drinks and deserts. the view from our room was great too, sitting on the balcony to watch the sunset with a nice cup of coffee was 10/10

and little pricey but you get what you pay for, the jacuzzi was under maintenance while we were there which was unfortunate

It's clean, smells good. 🛌 are comfortable. 4 comfortable pillows on the bed. Housekeeping is on time. Valet parking $40, self $30 a day, not included in a price, also $35 resort charge, you pay extra.Pet friendly, no charge if it's a service dog. Nice place to stay, but a little expensive, specially if you book a room with a balcony.

The beds are comfortable. Nice pool and location is great. The size of our room is very roomy. Our parking space is not far from our room.

Our refrigerator did not work. The carpet has a lot Of stains and the one person couch has a clean stained spot. The glass door for the shower seemed very fragile so you have to slowly closed the door and it does not shut all the way.

Nice property with beautiful amenities. Plenty of towels, good quality bathroom cosmetics, nice pool and relaxing areas plus cost free shuttle to a lovely beach with chairs, umbrellas and towels provided

It tended to be a bit too noisy at times

All of the associates we encountered were very friendly and helpful. There was a very nice pool associate at the end of her shift, but took time to find us towels. The location is perfect location for the beach.

The hotel resort fees are an additional charge. Though our booking confirmation stated they were included. The hotel staff was courteous and explained their policies.

Exceptional customer service. Great pool and many high end accommodations. Ocean views from balcony rooms.

Interior of rooms are dated with old carpet. This property could be so much more if they would just update the flooring. There is no real dog area. The sloped patch of dirt was locked up behind a worn out picket fence. I wouldn't have let my dog use it if it were open. Didn't look safe for the dog.

Close to the beach, family friendly, they don’t skip on alcohol, offer shuttle services, offer spa, offer beach butler or issuing hotel umbrellas and towels and chairs, great staff

One mild issue was the AC unit kept making this weird click or dripping sound while cooling the room but with some background sounds it’s tolerable
