1. The hotel, rooms, grounds, swimming pool, were all really nice. 2. Every single staff member we had interaction with was extremely friendly and helpful.

1. The booking.com description says it is 400ft to the beach. That's not really true. It's 400ft to a VIEW of the beach, but not beach access. It's a half mile walk down the hill to actually get to the beach, parts of which are close to traffic. Would not normally have been a big deal but we were travelling with little ones and that made it much more difficult. Description should be corrected. 2. Parking fee of $22/night is rediculously high.

Everything, we were traveling to meet up with family, the room was perfect, the location, the parking, the whole facility, pool, restaurant, bar, the patio outside was absolutely the best! The sunset was beautiful from the cliffs across the street! Also a big shout out to Jay at the front desk and Linda in the restaurant! They could not have been nicer or more helpful and welcoming. Just wonderful people all around! Thank you and we will be back!!!!

We absolutely loved everything!

The location was beautiful and peaceful! The hotel was family friendly with lots of outdoor games to enjoy! I loved the lemon water they provided in the lo by daily.

I didn't like that we had to be a member to get complementary waters. They provided coffee in our room but you needed water to make it. The lobby did have free coffee in the morning. The people above us must have had kids because they were running back and forth when we were trying to sleep. Other than that everyone was great.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for a wedding which was also the main venue. The hotel staff at every level was wonderful and accommodating. Their kindness and help made for a much easier and happy day of preparations! Thank you in particular to Gary, Steve, Skylaar and Andrew! There were plenty of photogenic backdrops and nice facilities to accommodate our relatively small wedding party. Rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped. The early breakfast time was handy for the wedding guests departing back to their respective homes. 30 minute drive to the airport when there was no traffic.

Breakfast buffet was rather expensive for a limited option and quality of food.

The hotel was great, the staff was amazing. I will definitely return because of my experience. I highly recommend this hotel for every occasion. I honestly want to return to Carlsbad California just because of my great stay here. Thank you to all the staff

The only complaint I had was my refrigerator didn't work and we didn't know this in time which caused my food I put in there to spoil.

Comfortable room, great location by the beach and near to lots of restaurants. Lots of areas to sit out and enjoy the nice evenings.

They looked to charge us per night for my dog after we had received email confirmation ahead of time that the dog would cost $75 per three nights. It wasn't great that we were not allowed our dogs on the beach and on top of that Hilton attempted to volunteer us a donation to keep the beach clean, without asking. I thought this was stepping over the line and assuming we'd want to pay this. Had we been asked to do this we likely would have donated but seeing it on the bill without being asked was too much.

The location was very convenient for us. We were a short drive from everything we needed and had the advantage of not being in a crowded area. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the bed was super comfortable.

Considering the property's location, we had to pay a $20 per night parking fee, which I thought was excessive. While I understand the business aspect of it, I thought the fee was double what it should be.

The location along the beach was wonderful. The hotel had plenty of grass for our pet. The grounds were well maintained. The breakfast served was very good. We enjoyed the hot tub, too.

Beds were shaky and mattresses and pillows were too soft. We could hear every loud steps from the kids above our room.

The property is exceptionally clean and smells nice throughout the entire interior. The staff is courteous and helpful.

The only surprise was the fact that you have to pay daily for parking, which struck me as odd considering I paid a handsome amount of money for the room, as it were.

The lobby, hallways, eating area, and courtyard are very nice. The shuttle to the beach was great. They supplied umbrellas, chairs, and beach butlers to help you. The staff was wonderful.

The construction noise. I would have preferred a refurbished room, but got an older one.
