Terrific location on the beach. Unbelievable sunsets every night, beautiful warm water. The hotel has a beautiful central "hub" with dining room, bar, reception, and colonial winding staircase under a vaulted wooden roof and open windows letting in the sea breeze. It's peaceful, only 17 rooms, and on a quiet beachfront road. No nightlife, traffic, or loud ambient music, just as we liked it. Staff were friendly and chill. The pool was beautiful and sizeable with plenty of loungers. Location was really quite convenient, half an hour to Jaco where we took surf lessons and one hour the other way to Manuel Antonio. A shopping centre (Westernized $$$) on the main road had all the essentials and several restaurants. But you wouldn't want to walk there in the heat, it would be a solid half hour. Definitely rent a car if you're coming here.

Wifi was functional for zoom calls, but just barely. The bathroom could use renovation, our shower head sprayed water everywhere!

The hotel is very nice. Beach is right in front of the hotel, we could see the ocean from our balcony. It is a very quiet neighborhood, and it feels safe. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good. Wifi is essential because there is not cellular data available but we even had wifi at the beach. Comfy beds. Beach chairs available near the pool and at the beach.

The room had no sink water on 2 occasions during our stay, as soon as we reported it, it got fixed. When we checked in the AC wasn't working in the room because they were fixing the room next door's electricity. It got fixed in 30 mins.

We love it here! So quiet, small hotel that is extremely clean and hospitable it feels like family each time we visit and off the safe and beaten path with all rooms facing the ocean with two floors max. Pool area is so clean and beautiful and is my Happy Place! The chef is amazing as well the entire staff. We love it here so much we bought a home up the street a walk and a skip from beach above the Town Center that has everything on the hill. What a beautiful place!

A lovely hotel overlooking a private beach. We were here during the rainy season and it was pretty vacant, which made it seem a little sleepy. Perfect destination if you are looking for peace and quiet and solitude. The staff was lovely, constantly working hard on keeping up the place at its best. The food was good. All in all we can definitely recommend a stay here, especially if you are looking to disconnect

A little sleepy and out there

Extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Restaurant meals were excellent. Pool was immaculate, as were the grounds.

Three issues: Rooms need to be updated with more electrical outlets. Beds were clean, but mattresses are extremely hard/uncomfortable There is no elevator, and the rails on the stairs are low. This creates difficulty for older people who end up on the second floor.

Wonderful people, amazing staff. Muy buena gente. Food and drinks were great. Thanks to Sandra, Javier, Edward, David, y Ximena for making me feel special and welcome. Especially on my birthday. See you again next year. Pura Vida 🤙

Homey, rustic, more traditional Costa Rice feel. Conveniences of pool, beach, restaurant, bar, and room all within steps of each other a PLUS!! Nice covered areas for sunburners....Will come back myself and recommend to friends!!

You need MATTRESS COVERS!! A sheet over a naked mattress is neither sanitary nor comforting. Mattresses could be a bit more comfy, kind of box like. Bedspreads are aging. An extra blanket for a chilly partner would be a nice convenience. You asked!

the location is the best, just steps away from the beach, very clean, and showers outside to get rid of the sand before entering the facilities

The lady by the reception was not friendly. when we tried to check (early at 12 noon) it was advised that check in was at 2 pm which was completely understandable but not offering to store our luggage, to use the facilities, the restaurant etc. it was a very short interaction saying “everything will be done at 2pm”. The lady working in the bar (blond hair) was way more friendly; gave us directions of attractions, diner options, answering questions about the restaurant, pool and facilities.

staff was very friendly. location was exceptional. restaurant and bar on property made for a convenient work trip. beach directly across the street didn't hurt.

internet was spotty. bed was extremely uncomfortable. rooms could use an update and sealed off from bugs. NO bottled water in the room?

Great location on a beautiful beach! Our room was basic but comfortable. The balcony was a very nice feature. The dinners we had were excellent. Staff was pleasant.

Bathroom could use updating. Shower water could be warmer. But we’d stay there again regardless!
