The place is so clean, and the housekeeping is amazing. I didn't know they offered room cleaning, but the housekeepers are amazing. There is a mini-fridge and AC. The location is good, just a short walk to the center of Xagħra, and everything else is a maximum of 20 minutes away by car. Check-in and check-out were so simple; just come and go. The property management is very responsive and helpful. All the little things I didn't like are just picky things people might want to know, but I have nothing bad to say about the stay itself.

Honestly, I think there should be more description of the way to get to the property from the ferry. The city of Xaghra (and by that the property) is located on a very steep hill. I was caught by surprise by how high the hill is, and it is not for inexperienced drivers, especially at night. Such information would be nice to know before coming to Xaghra. I personally think this is not a fault of the property, but it might be important to know. There is only one room (as far as I know) with a terrace, which would have been nice to know in advance.

If you're a solo traveler looking for a welcoming and well-located apartment on Gozo, you can't go wrong with Georges Guesthouse in this charming village Xagħra. The place offers a perfect balance of historical attractions, natural beauty, and warm hospitality. The team was a kind and accommodating host who go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable. Whether I needed help planning my itinerary on going around the island or adjusting my room, their flexibility makes solo travel stress-free. Highly recommend to get the top floor room, offering stunning views over the ocean. The central location provides easy access to must-see sites like the Ġgantija Temples, Victoria, diving in Marsafalon (highly recommended) and local restaurants at the square in town. All in walking distance - or even better with a scooter. This makes it an ideal base for exploring Gozo.

The personnel was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the atmosphere of the whole hotel - an amazingly well restored and very old townhouse, with modern amenities but a wonderful mix of modern and very old. The breakfast was well laid out and more than enough. The location is perfect. With a short walk towards the outer edge of town, you have a stunning view of a valley below the town and of the Citadella on the other side of the valley, and an amazing view of the sea to the north. Within just a few minutes, we were in the capital city of Victoria.

I really enjoyed my stay at this guest house. The location was perfect – close to everything I needed while still being peaceful and quiet, making it easy to relax. The rooms and common areas were exceptionally clean and well-kept, which made me feel comfortable right away. On top of that, the value was excellent – I felt like I got much more than I paid for in terms of comfort and convenience. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would happily stay here again.

A Truly Exceptional Stay! The entire experience was seamless — beautifully designed spaces (terrace is amazing!), warm and attentive staff, and thoughtful touches everywhere. What made it even more special was how they didn’t let my birthday go unnoticed — such a lovely surprise! It’s rare to find a place where everything feels so personal and well-considered. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect, memorable and calm stay. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The property was clean, modern and styled beautifully. Our room was lovely and spacious, plenty of room and storage facilities. Lovely large shower. Our balcony was the highlight of our trip! We had a sea view room which was just beautiful and we were able to watch both sunrise and sunset! Would absolutely recommend this as somewhere to stay! Location was ideal! We would love to come back one day! Also one of the cleaners met us as we were arriving at our room and showed us all the amenities etc. she was very lovely and helpful

Lovely location just a few minutes walk from traditional Xaghra, and a few minutes drive from Victoria. The room was large as was the balcony overlooking the area and the sea in the distance. We liked that they kept the traditional look of the outside of the building so that it fitted well into the landscape. A good buffet breakfast was provided. Very reasonably priced.

The hill up from Victoria was very steep and winding, and the road rough. As the island is small, we decided to approach Xaghra from different roads after the initial drive up, without adding too much time to our journey.

Excellent little boutique hotel in a peaceful location with a nice breakfast (for a supplementary 10 euros per person). The breakfast was convenient since there are no cafes really nearby that serve breakfast. The terrace in our room was big and it was nice to sit in the evening and watch the fireworks from the neighboring village festivities. The room was also very nice with basic kitchenette facilities as well.

The buses were not functioning on the route that was close to the hotel so we had to use Uber, Bolt and Ecabs for going around but this was not a problem of the hotel. The terrace is big so maybe the owners could upgrade it with a jacuzzi/small pool and make the room even better.

Gozo was our favourite part of Malta, and Georges Boutique Living went a long way to make our stay feel special! The hotel itself is a 5 minute walk from Xaghra Square and the Ggantija Temple complex. Catching a Bolt to any part of the island is smooth and convenient. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet and huge! The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, even decorating the room for my birthday. Overall- a fantastic stay and we hope to be back!

We stayed for 9 nights. Would definitely book again. Our room was spacious and well cleaned. Matress is on the harder side, but bed itself is big, enough pillows and a good sized blanket - so we slept amazingly. Breakfast was perfect, better than in some big hotels. And the interior of the hotel and the breakfast room especially represents the Maltese style in a really impressive way. I did read some interviews about rooms being damp. This is an island and humidity is always high. Luckily rooms have ACs, so that's not a problem. It's a really lovely hotel with amazing staff.

Really nothing to complain about. Hopefully will have another opportunity to stay there.
