The room is very nice, spacious and well decorated without any 'unessential' things. The terrace and view are beautiful. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Staff was incredibly helpful and nice. Location is right in the heart of Sedona and walking distance to restaurants and shops.

This accomodation is quite pricey, especially if you consider that we stayed three days and the room was not cleaned even once. Maybe we should have asked to clean but we honestly thought that, considering the higher price and positioning, daily cleaning was included. I understand (and support) not changing the towels, but refreshing the bathroom and bed daily when you pay 200+ USD a night should be something that customered are offered as standard.

Truly everything. We stayed in the separate CHALET building. It was newly renovated and felt so CLEAN. The little details for comfort: large, thick towels, effective black out curtains, effective air conditioning, nice patio furniture, kitchen fully stocked with cookware, new pots/pans, great water pressure in the shower, washer/dryer for hiking clothes, and comfortable beds. Location exceeded our expectations: we had our own parking spot in the driveway, easy walk to heated pool/jacuzzi, shops, and a coffeeshop. We had a view of the mountains from our deck. It felt quiet and private away from the main drag, and like a residential neighborhood. It would be perfect for a family with young kids or 2 families, as there are 2 living rooms with very large couches/pull out beds.

If I am being extremely picky, a drying rack in the laundry room would be nice for hang drying athletic clothing, and hand soap in the kitchen is needed.

This hotel is in a great location uptown. It is a walkable distance for shops and touristy restaurants. A good Mexican place is next door as is a Indie coffee house if you prefer sit-down coffee in a real (no-disposable/non-plastic) cup. I was in town for the Sedona Film Festival and it was only about a 10-minute drive to any venue. This is a cute area to be in as a visitor, and as you will need a rental car (taxis and uber don't seem to be a thing here) it was nice to be based uptown. Parking can be difficult in this area, so having hotel parking was a real benefit. Parking in other parts of town much easier. The hotel provides water to refill your water bottle, and a light breakfast. The room was clean, and comfortable. Spacious, and the view was great from my little balcony. Super helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel was located toward the end of Uptown, and was convenient for browsing and dining. The room was very clean; there were a lot of surfaces for opening suitcases, spreading out maps, etc; the king size bed and pillows were very comfortable.

I appreciate having an included breakfast as a time saving measure when traveling. But for a location where you may have to drive to a parking lot before 8:00am to get a parking spot for a hike, breakfast from 8:00-10:00 am doesn’t make sense. Granola bars, small yogurts, a Keurig for coffee or tea, and a selection of fresh fruit comprised breakfast. However, they ran out of bananas within the first half hour, and one day, apologized for having no fruit and said they were getting a delivery later. There simply wasn’t enough food, let alone enough variety, and the timing was inconvenient.

The proximity to everything and the view from our room. The room was clean, but feel it could've been better. The front desk staff was always pleasant, especially Kim. So friendly and personable. The pool was well located to our room.

The fact it is advertised "Breakfast included" but it is a "traveler's" breakfast at best, not even a continental breakfast. The carpet crunched under our feet when we walked through the room. Had a dead bug in bathroom for a couple days, housekeeping came once, but never checked to see there were 2 tissues in the box, and no backups left in room. We got fresh towels from desk twice, and they provided us a tote bag, which was taken from room when housekeeping did come. The AC unit is so loud, you need to turn up volume on TV. The TV AUDIO was sporadic. We heard every other word of the programs. The mini fridge was in working order, but we showed the front desk staff there was 2 broken pieces. Finally, only one handicap parking spot was slightly troublesome.

Room was spacious and comfortable ( except the overheating the first night; see below). Could walk to stores and some restaurants. Although you had to look over a street and some commercial buildings to see it, nice views from our front porch of some of the red rocks

No greenery around the place. Front was busy street and back yard was a parking lot (though that turned out to be handy when the motel’s spots were full). Would have liked more guidance on how to manage seeing some of the sights. Didn't know about some trails I found out about by googling. Didn't warn me that a park they recommended wasn't open until 9am. "Breakfast" -such as it was- rigidly not served until 8 am when it's necessary to get to the trailheads by then. thermostat broken the first night so hard to regulate the temp; but fixed as soon as I mentioned it. On the plus side, good location,spacious and modern room, nice view.

The Matterhorn is perfect in every way! The location is excellent and within walking distance of all Uptown Sedona. The rooms are large, updated and very comfortable. You cannot beat the cleanliness of the entire facility, including the pool and cornhole/gathering area. I wish I could have hosted a party here! We picked this property due to its proximity to family staying in a nearby Airbnb, which we were easily able to walk to, and couldn't have been more pleased.

Nothing, it was perfect.

Location was perfect. Right in downtown. Walking distance to alot. We were surprised how quiet it was. Loved the hot tub. Grounds very well kept and room very clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Suggesting dinner places and offering a coupon. Hot tub clean and nice. Smaller and more intimate.

Breakfast was a disappointment. Apples old, bananas bruised. Not coffee drinkers. Nothing else but hot or cold water. Granola bars and yogurt. No lower sugar options. I was hoping for something hot. We couldn't find ANY parking when we arrived. Once the parking lot opened up, we were afraid to leave to go anywhere during the day for fear we'd have nowhere to park coming back.

Fantastic location in the town of Sedona, close to the shops and restaurants, with beautiful views from the balcony towards the red rocks. Tasteful decor and a lovely rainfall shower, a treat after some of the typical American showers we'd encountered! Staff very friendly and helpful, we had difficulty finding a place to park on arrival (the hotel have some spots of their own at the front of the hotel, as well as a number in the public car park across from the hotel) and the man at the reception desk (the manager?) allowed us to park directly in front of the hotel entrance (not really a space!). He was also very helpful with suggestions on places to eat. The grab and go breakfast was fine for us, we grabbed some fruit - bananas, apples - plus yoghurts and breakfast bars and ate them on the balcony with tea/coffee before we left We were able to leave our car parked at the hotel whilst we did the Pink Jeep tour in the morning which was handy. Overall would definitely recommend

Nothing really

Location. The hotel is right in the heart of the town, walking distance to many restaurants. For clarity this is pretty much a motel, albeit a very nice one. I like having the capsule coffee machine, Kuerig I think it's called. Comfie bed, nice shower, and a balcony overlooking the town and hills beyond. Great to sit outside and watch the world go by. Excellent friendly check-in, and explanation of parking should the hotel spaces be full. Best of all, you're in Sedona. This wasn't my visit visit to the Matterhorn, and hopefully it won't be my last. Don't be put off by the 8 rating, I'm a harsh marker.

The price, but that's Sedona prices, it's typically an expensive place.
