Everything was great. I would particularly single out the location of the hotel and the beautiful surroundings. Fairy tale.

I just don't understand Accor Hotel's policy regarding wi-fi. To use it in the hotel, you have to register with your personal details. If you don't want to do that, then you can use a slower connection service, but even then you have to give your email address. I mean, I'm a guest in your hotel, I've already given you my details, how much more of my personal details do you need? Just give me the wi-fi password, like in any other normal hotel.

Our room was a really good size, we spent 3 nights in Dinan, beautiful port and a short walk to all of the riverside restaurants, it really does not matter that the hotel does not have a restaurant as there are so may within walking distance, we highly recommend a walk along the river to Les Rossignols, fab food & lovely staff & setting. We didn't have breakfast so cannot comment, lovey pool and Spa as well. Approx. 15 mins walk up a "Steep" hill into the medieval village, please leave your heals in the hotel! we saw a few tourists favouring fashion over sense...not a good idea, however amusing for onlookers when the cobbles are wet, It's so pretty and well worth the visit. Great riverside walks in both directions, certainly upped our steps up! Free parking t the rear of the hotel. Would definitely stay here again if visiting this area of France.

Difficult but not impossible entrance as it was just a little confusing, we were not sure if we could go along the riverside to the entrance, YES you can ride/drive along the riverside and after you are checked in to the hotel you can access the gate to get in or out at the top of the hill with your room card.

Location, overall space, facilities, staff. Close to restaurants.

They didn't tell us that there is a free shuttle bus to the Dinan centre. The walk up to centre was steep!

Good pre check in, helpfull friendly staff, comfortable room and bed, nice shower, quiet location, easy walk into the Port for good selection of restaurants.

Just a couple of small things that have changed from our first visits. The cups for tea or coffee are paper and ridiculously small, no handles so can't hold them properly, just as well they are small as there was only one English Breakfast tea bag!!!! Breakfast was €19 ,we had it once and it was extensive, there should also be a less expensive option of coffee and a pastry. A lot of residents do what we did and visit the bakery in the Port then buy a coffee at one of the cafe's, they don't mind at all.

What a delightful, modern hotel beside the canal outside the walled city of Dinan! The canal area is picture-postcard perfect. Our room was clean and comfortable, with the added conveniences of electric window shades, spacious shower, and a room safe. We made good use of the hotel's robust spa. Had the weather been just-a-little warmer, we'd have availed ourselves of the outdoor pool, as well. The buffet breakfast was both diverse and delicious, with a wide array of tasty offerings. The staff could not have been friendlier, nor more helpful. A special shout-out to Bruce, who, that evening, was on-duty at both the Front Desk and behind the bar when we decided upon a nightcap. He makes a mean Old Fashioned, shared perceptive stories of his own travels, and provided us with many helpful (and appreciated) suggestions. He's a credit to the Mercure Dinan team!

We enjoyed everything about our stay.

Peaceful location beside the river. Staff were very friendly and helpful with information on a bus to the main town which is up a steep hill and things to do such as Boat Trips. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The staff made an extra effort arranging a breakfast table for us and helping with decorations for my Mum’s 80th birthday. The pool was heated to a lovely temperature and the seating area very peaceful. Lots of seating to have drinks in the evening if you are with a group.

Very helpful reception, and comfortable rooms. Parking is located behind the hotel. The hotel is located near several restaurants and next to a long distance walking/bicycling trail along the river.

The drive to the hotel was a bit of a surprise....be prepared to drive through what appears to be a pedestrian zone along one side of the river, and then up and around the river, and back onto a 1 way street that essentially dead ends in the hotel. But, we found sufficient parking behind the hotel.

While the furnishings were simple, they were all tasteful, clean and comfortable. Good size bedroom with sufficient storage space and a very comfortable bed. Public spaces were all clean and stylish. Location is excellent. Staff were helpful, efficient and friendly' Exterior of the hotel is in character with the environment and attractive. Good breakfasts available and plenty of eat out options in the vicinity. Secure parking.

Everything was a good, if not better, than you would expect for the price charged.

Nice and recently renovated hotel in the port of Dinan with a wonderful outdoor pool (with heated warer) and jacuzzi. Please note that the port area is another center of Dinan in addition to the old town area, which are equally nice. It is also worth to stay in the port area as it is also full of good restaurants. The hotel has a spacious and accessible free private parking lot, where it was easy to park even with a minivan.

Although we pre-paid for the rooms a couple of months before arrival and dinner was not available in this Mercure location (for which we could have spent any money), an amout of EUR 60 per room per night (a total of EUR 360 in our case) was blocked on our credit card as a security deposit, which was not yet released even two days after departure (when this evaluation is prepared). This is an unneccessary and unfair practice.

We liked the rooms, spacious and clean and we got a peep of the port. Location excellent to walk around the Port and up to the village Best restaurant Chez Odette, best waitress Milo. Had a fabulous dinner there and good value for money. Sat outside- great view of the Port At the Mecure hotel Bruce at reception was wonderful. Welcoming and nothing was a problem. Great attitude and very professional. Made us feel very welcomed- thank you Bruce- you are a star!!!
