Absolutely wonderful place, away from the noise. Perfect getaway, which offers a lot of privacy, tranquillity, and solace. It's set in nature with all its pros and cons. I loved the birds chirping, the crickets , the bats and the lizards but it could pose a challenge if you are a light sleeper. The owners were extremely hospitable yet all the service done ninja style: You could spend 4 days there not meeting any of the staff. Mrs. Runi met us only on the last day and thanked us with delicious cake. The setting is so gorgeous and there are only for apartments so we only saw other people once and very briefly. The bed was very comfortable, room and bathroom very spacious, the pool clean and refreshing. The frangipani room we stayed in could use a little refreshing (paint, water stains in the sink and tub, new shower head) but considering how wonderful everything else was, this didn't bother us at all.

Absolutely stunning place with a huge pool and beautiful garden. There is a total of 4 rooms/apartments surrounding the pool area, meaning that the whole area feels very private and exclusive. The room was spacious, clean and with great facilities. Ubud Center is easily accessible by scooter. Runi, the woman who owns the place alongside with her husband, was kind enough to show us her beautiful silver jewellery in the on site museum. She invited us to have tea in her home and told us interesting stories about her history in silver design.

Breakfast was good but prepared beforehand and put on the table (nicely covered though) early morning. Hence you don't get warm and freshly made eggs. Having that would have been the cherry on top of a wonderful stay at Runi's place. Despite this, I can hugely recommend to book a stay here!

EVERYTHING! NOT ENOUGH WORDS to describe just how magical and completely lovely this property is. From the bamboo lined drive, to the gate into the water-feature filled main courtyard to the gate into the inner sanctum and the four fabulous villas and gorgeous swimming pool... Everything is absolutely superb and a feast for the senses! The hostess, Rani, is the epitome of warm and gracious hospitality. Her charm and demeanor nourish your soul and create a calm and serene feeling. With a temple next door and another across the street and rice paddies behind the enclave, the village of Lodtunduh is a very short walk away with a grocery store, an ATM and a few local style restaurants. I was so very content and at peace at RUNA House of Design and Muesum that I only left my little Paradise three times in the ten days I stayed there. I long to return and am currently making plans to do just that. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay with Runi and her crew, they will treat you like an honored member of the family. While there, I also recommend a personally guided visit to Runi's museum to be awed by her exquisite collection representing her 40+ years as a cutting edge, award winning jewelry designer in 925 silver. I love RUNA House of Design and Museum!!!

I LOVED EVERYTHING!!!

It is an amazing place, with excellent rooms, quite spacious, everything went perfectly, breakfast we asked to change for example (instead of rice, ask for bread), which was done immediately. Once we didn't have hot water but we ask staff and they handled it. An amazing owner with a great history of life.

As others said maybe breakfast is the weakest point as it gets quite cold until you wake up.

RUNA house of Design is an exceptional place! It's one of the quietest hotels I've had in BALI, the rooms are magnificent, the space around the swimming pool is also wonderful. The entire hotel team took great care of me. The whole hotel was very very clean and very well maintained. Finally, the location was perfect, because right on the outskirts of Ubud, so no traffic jams. this will be my address during my next visit to Ubud. 🥰

Everything perfect

Loved the design of the buildings, gardens and pool. The location was good and although on edge of a town It was quiet and secluded. The staff were wonderful & responded quickly to any questions or requests. (Xenia packed hot pancakes for a takeaway breakfast for our early airport departure). We also felt privileged to meet Runi and to visit the on-site museum.

Runa House is a great place to stay if you want comfort and calmness. The staff made our life easier and always followed our requests. I loved the territory and the pool.

Breakfast could have been more varied, but overall it was good

The place is well desiged and very comfortavle to stay. The room is big. The veranda is a very nice place to seat. The pool is pleasent and the garden is buitiliful. The kitchen is very convinient if one wants to prepare lunch. The owners, Runa, Xenia and Jerry are very freindly and helpful.

It is a bit out of the way - probably 25/30mins by car to central Ubud and can’t walk to any restaurants. That said easy to get Grab car and there are good places for food within 5-10mins in the car.

tiny bit far away from town and ubud traffic is bad but take a grab and you’re fine. It’s nice to be far away in a quiet private place.
