Good location and quiet with good parking facilities off road. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and food was good. Even on busy night the wait after ordering in the restaurant was short and food freshly prepared. Bed was very comfortable.

As my stay was for 4 nights I’d quite like to have had bed linen changed halfway through. There were two sets of towels so I had chance to change towels without asking as I was travelling alone but a couple might need a change of towels as well. Perhaps I could have asked for this to be done? Every morning I was asked if I needed any top up of coffee, etc, but it didn’t cross my mind to ask for linen to be changed.

We loved this place at the back of the pub! It’s basic inside but very manageable and viva la difference when travelling on a budget. The pub food was excellent and the owner very chatty and friendly as well as being knowledgeable about all things local including the local farmers who are farming the new way with mirrors and hair brushes for their dairy herds! The confer trees were out there was manure being spread and silage trailers being towed through the village on early mornings but we didn’t care it was as it should be ; delightful😀

Nothing really

20 - 22 Sept. 2024. I was given a lovely clean, quiet and comfortable room - No 9. The addition of a comfy chair to sit in was a great idea. I initially thought being in a room by the carpark might have been noisy, but not at all. I didn't have breakfast, but had two dinners there with friends, both of which were fantastic. The last night I was joined by friends with a dog. We were given a lovely table in the entrance/bar area and the service an attentiveness were second to none. Lights in the carpark are turned off at 11pm, but a torch is provided in the room should you need it.

Meals and service were very good the room was clean and tidy. on the down side the bed at one side was very soft and when my wife sat on it during the night it squashed and she fell on the floor and has a very large bruise on her arm, the shower base could do with a rubber matt as it was quite slippery, only other thing at night i know it was windy but the small branches were beating on the roof window. having said all that we would come again and stay with you. kind regards

Basically have a look at the comments above and see if you agree?

We were three friends staying in a family room with one double bed and two singles. The room was cold when we arrived but soon warmed up once the radiator was switched on. The room was nice, plenty of space and there was a kettle to make tea/coffee. Plenty of parking right outside the accommodation, it was a 6 minute drive to the centre of Northallerton, great location. Breakfast is served 8am - 10am and was lovely :-) Checkout is 10am however we requested an 11am checkout and we were fortunate to be able to leave at 11am which was appreciated.

room good, clean, warm, everything needed. staff friendly and helpful breakfast excellent and staff friendly and informative

Access to bar and inn limited/not too good, arrived early 1430 no one about so had to return at 1500 and although bar was then open, non one about, rang the contact number twice and left a message, still no response, eventually had to find someone from kitchen. On second day returned at 2000 to have drink in bar, told after buying drinks the bar would be closed at 2030 because of the football. we had not been advised of this at breakfast or earlier and had returned expecting to be able to use the bar. We did not want to travel back out at that time so had no alternative than to try to finish drinks in bedroom ( two people across 2 rooms) Not obvious when booking that inn would only be open limited times

I has a meeting in Northallerton and booked here to stay the night before. It's about a 5 minute cab ride to Northallerton but that wasn't a problem. The rooms are at the back the bar and are challet style. Breakfast was included and I must say this was one of the best breakfasts I've had. Freshly cooked and with great quality ingredients.

The only thing that I didn't like was the bed. The springs were gone and does need replacing. I slept ok but it could of been better if there was a decent matress. Apart from that I would visit again.

To be honest i was expecting a old room above a pub what we got was a chalet style room beside the car park it was very clean loads of room nicely furnished and comfy with the added bonus of the pub/restaurent about a 100 yards away the food was very good especialy liked the big chips nice friendly staff good breakfast next morning one of the best places we have stayed in thank you all for your hard work and effort a deserved 10 rating

Me nothing my wife would have liked a rail or rack in the shower for toiletries

Really friendly staff. Comfortable room. Good food in the restaurant.

If you stay there on a Saturday night, be prepared to possibly be disturbed/woken latecat night (around 11.30-midnight) as invariably, the property has a function room directly opposite the chalets. People attending any function park directly outside the chalets and invariably contiue 'partying' when leaving and in the car park right outside the rooms, with ZERO consideration for residents. It only lasted for half an hour or so, but is something to be prepared for. Other than that, no complaints!

The best thing about this place was the bar/restaurant and the waitress - what an amazing asset she is: warm, friendly, helpful, smiling. Her customer service was spot on and she made it seem effortless. The food was delicious too, and we loved the music.

The rooms are motel-like, with the front door opening on to the car park. The room was well-presented but had a dampish smell in it. The weather was miserable, and that, the smell, and the fact all the bugs had sought some warmth inside took away the room's appeal. Worst of all was that when the shower was run in the adjacent room, our shower pipes were literally vibrating, and it sounded like someone was hammering in the corner (and no, it wasn't something else.. )
