Truly yummy breakfast. Very peaceful location for a good nights sleep. Lovely down to earth staff.
Few details missed with cleaning - toothpaste and grubby marks in sink, mould on the shower head. Sink plug wasn’t attached to the chain and was impossible to remove after use, so had to leave a sink full of water. Toilet flush is about to fail. Small details but would make the room seem a bit more cared for. New mattress needed in Badger room - think it was a little collapsed! Bed frame squeaky too. Wouldn’t be put off another visit as price was fair for what we needed.

The staff were all lovely - very welcoming and helpful. We had lunch & dinner during our stay - the quality was good and it was value for money. The waiting and kitchen staff were patient and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent - a good choice of both hot and cold. The fresh milk for the tea tray was greatly appreciated, as were the freshly baked biscuits. The bed was very comfortable, the towels were soft & there was a good selection of toiletries.
There were only a couple of very minor points... The bedroom blind was a bit tired & marked. There was a build-up of dust on the tables & chairs in the bar area. Neither of these would put us off staying again.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The location was fantastic. A lovely rustic feel. The dinner and breakfast were quick to arrive and delicious. Loved the extra touches in the room like proper coffee and cafetiere, milk in a glass bottle, and the home-baked cookie in the tin. Much needed after a drizzly walk! The bed was super comfy. The shower was easy to use and a good temperature. There were extra pillows and bedding in the wardrobe. Spoke to some other people in the car park, who were also delighted to find such a gem!
Bathroom a bit small. It was OK for us but anyone with a bit more meat on them or a disability may be unable to stay here as it could be difficult to manoeuvre, and all rooms were upstairs, if I remember rightly.

Nothing about this family run small pub/hotel could have been better for our wants and needs: all the staff provided a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness, with excellent caring service and an eye to detail. Our 3 bedrooms were compact but spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds, efficient showers and thoughtful little extras such as home made biscuits with tea, coffee etc. Another plus was access to fresh milk in the fridge in the quiet residents’ lounge, (rather than just ‘plastic’ pods of UHT). The food was outstandingly good and far beyond our expectations, beautifully cooked, presented and served in the pleasant and tastefully decorated dining area. Altogether memorable and would take a great deal of beating. We loved everything about our 4 night family reunion stay at the Stapylton Arms and cannot thank Rob and his team enough .
Addtional storage rack for sponge etc at shoulder height in shower cabinet would be welcome. Maybe provide smaller portions of your delicious food for people with smaller appetites who hate to leave or waste food !

I'm always a little torn with regard to giving reviews when we stay somewhere nice as it just encourages more people to stay then we can't get a room when we want one! In this case, however, the place was so good, I couldn't keep quiet.... The staff were all excellent - friendly, polite and accommodating. The room wasn't massive but was very comfortable and well equipped. The bar was great - small and traditional. The beer was excellent and well kept and the food was outstanding. I cannot recommend the Stapylton highly enough and will definitely be returning. One tip - the restaurant is soooooo popular that I would recommend booking in advance....
The fact that we had to leave.

A very nice little country Pub just as we imagined it. In a lovely little village surrounded by beautiful countryside. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We only stayed one night and sorry we missed out on the diner at the pub as we were booked in somewhere else. The diner menu looked really nice. Highly recommended and will definitely consider staying there again.

rooms food all good.
only drawback for us was an early start on Saturday. I did call ahead and asked if it was possible for something anything to be put out for us to eat something - even a banana would have been or cereal would have been appreciated. But was told no. so paid for 2 x breakfasts which we were able to have.

Lovely place. Quiet village. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was lovely but small. Stayed 2 nights and ate in restaurant. 1st night food was lovely and so was the breakfast. Had 2 poached eggs, lovely runny eggs. The 2nd morning breakfast seemed rushed, my poached egg was hard, toast was burnt. Definitely a different chef to previous day.

Both the breakfasts and the evening meals were superbly cooked and delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The place is located in an ideal place to explore the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside
The extractor fan in the en-suite was not functional causing difficulty in removing condensation. Otherwise, everything we expected was fine.

My Husband and I stayed here last night as we were attending a wedding close by. What a gorgeous place!! The room was lovely and clean and had homemade cookies in there with tea and coffee facilities upon arrival. Very comfortable bed and a lovely view from the room. The breakfast is absolutely gorgeous 10/10… the staff are super friendly and the lovely gentleman who worked there gave us a lift back to our wedding venue to collect our car! We couldn’t thank him enough! Such kind and caring people! I would very highly recommend this accommodation to anyone considering staying here! If we are ever visiting the area again we will be sure to stay here! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
