Breakfast is brilliant! Other meal choices are great too. I didn't request a quiet room, I have no issues with sounds. Only problems I have are with mobility so the lift helped but I still had several steps to deal with due to room location. Hotel Manager Tom suggested room 6 would be more suitable, avoiding a small flight of stairs to my room 5. I explained I am recently widowed & single occupancy rooms are limited. Tom replied if I book direct next time, I shoukd mention his name and he will do a deal for room 6 for me. I have stayed at the hotel several times over the years, with my late husband, and in 2012 our family filled several rooms during a family wedding. I love the hotel & location, my father lives in the town but has a small one bedroom bungalow so it is a struggle for me to stay with him, The Three Tuns Wetherspoons Hotel is great for me. Staff are friendly even when very busy this is very welcoming & much appreciated. As well as Manager Tom, can I also bring attention to Liam, a quiet conscientious young lad who helped carry my bags down when checking out.

I had to ask a couple of times for drinks sachets & water to be replenished in my room. Only a small matter really but I like a hot chocolate before bed, and water for through the night. I did buy some water, not a problem, it was my chocolate I was chasing. 😂

The location was central in Thirsk, parking was very conveniently in the market square outside so we could see the car was ok, plus since parking is only charged after 8am, we covered the next morning in advance. The room was incredibly large and the en-suite also - with room for shower AND a nice bath that allowed sitting position. The staff couldn't have been more willing to help, and the breakfast was very nice, with loads of choice and astonishingly good value. Security via the key card was excellent to ensure safety and privacy.

Stayed here again despite saying we never would as the old girl has seen better days and Weatherspoon's don't seem to be doing anything about it. Was given a room that we'd not stayed in before and it was fantastic. Will definitely stay again if we can get same room.

The hotel car park, which could probably hold ten cars, is full of hotel 'junk' old tables, beer barrels, barriers and the like, meaning six cars is a squeeze. Luckily we got parked the first night but were then boxed in so parked off street round at families the following night as we wanted to get away early.

The room was spacious, comfortable bed and had everything you would need. Staff very helpful and friendly. Fantastic location in the market square and food good. Short walk to the race course and shops on your doorstep.

The place need some redecorating especially the main stairs and the bathroom in our room (13). Shortage of muffins at breakfast on the 2nd morning meant that much of the breakfast choices were not an option. Perhaps toast could have been substituted to make Eggs Benedict?

We were meet at the Pub door by a delightful young lady, who checked us in. She was so helpful and even checked to see if there was a space in the pub carpark so we could move from on Street parking, it was a fabulous start to our stay in Thirsk. I would be grateful if you could feed this back to her. Unfortunately we didn't catch her name, but hopefully there will be a note of who checked us in, she was fab

Unfortunately in the morning at breakfast we were missing the extras we ordered, it was different staff to the evening staff.

Fab hotel above a Weatherspoons. Old but quaint. Really enjoyed my stay at Thirsk for one night. Creaky floor boards but that was my only downside. Loved the complimentary Bottles of water. Buiscults and included was tea, coffee and Cadbury hot chocolate.. We had the mixed grill In Weatherspoons this was really nice and bar prices great. Well worth a visit. Parking near by longstay for £9.50 up to three days so very reasonable.

Absolutely nothing I didn't like. Enjoyed everything about it

Emailed when booked and reserved a space for a disabled guest... really helpful.. . Room was clean and tidy and had a coffee maker and biscuit and water... the fan was very useful as it got very warm overnight...

Took 2 or 3 times ro check in as rang bell but no one arrived... had to speak to bar staff and a short while later someone came to check.us in... The blinds in the bathroom were a little short and windows not frosted so neighbours can see you sat on the toilet and in bathroom... bathroom was on a slope so not good if unsteady on your feet...

Location, value for money, check in was speedy and very helpful staff. Oh yeah, the drinks are sooooo reasonably priced..

Pity I couldn't park in the car park as I had valuable goods in my car. Contractors were parked in there due to a full refurb of the kitchen..... That said, despite several polite requests to sneak my car in the manager remained firm and professional, pointing me in the direction of a secure car park 2 mins walk away, so full credit to her. No kitchen facilities therefore no food and only informed a few days before despite room being booked months ago so a bit disappointed. On the plus side I'm looking forward to booking next years trip (new kitchen, new menu) and will certainly be booking the tree tuns..

My room was quiet and comfortable. Fans were provided for the warm weather and I had clean linen and towels and hot drinks and a hairdryer. Although I didn’t choose to have my towels replaced during my stay, I could have.

My room was on the second floor and there was no lift. On the whole, this was fine but it was difficult when I was carrying my luggage. The WiFi, although free, wasn’t reliable from the room. While I was working, I needed to use my phone as a hotspot when the WIFi dropped out.

Central location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and comfortable bed/night’s sleep. All the benefits of a consistent menu and bar at a Wetherspoons.

Restricted parking. Felt a little rationed with the tea and coffee- making facilities - especially with the milk. Maybe I didn’t need more, but it would have been nice not to have worried about making it last.
