I've stayed before at the Worsley Arms Hotel and I've went back again. The dinner is superb. I also had business guests over for dinner and they too had an excellent meal. The staff are so attentive and really look after you. The hotel is quite old, but it's what I love about it. Another relaxing nights stay, and I will be going back again at some point.

On this occasion, it was quite warm and the room had no air conditioning or fan. I'm sure if I'd asked beforehand the staff would maybe have had a fan for the room that I could of had, but I woke up at 01:10 too warm. Also on this occasion, the wi-fi upstairs wasn't working. It was on my last visit.

The management the staff were very helpful and friendly . The breakfast was exceptional we ate in the evening and it was excellent

The hotel was splendid but very tired We had a double room number two We were there during heat wave and the room was airless the window could not be opened and there was no ventilation. I would stay there again but would probably a little more for a room with ventilation I would say that the hotel is situated in a very beautiful village and we enjoyed the walk around it

Notification check list for breakfast was a nice idea, taken up to the room and not expected to find it by ourselves, which was good. Pleased with a very filling breakfast, hotel bar was cosy and reasonable price, overall a decent stop over place. We was advised by the staff to try out the village market which had various arts,& crafts on sale, plus local produce such as bread, meat and veg, well worth a saunter around.

Shower cubicle was not as large as used to, but did the job, I would have preferred to book a four poster bed, however the booking agency it was done thru did not allow selection of this , otherwise I would have paid the extra.

Nice little old hotel in a little English Village. I would describe it at cosy and welcoming and old style. Dinner was fantastic. The staff were very attentive. Nice and quiet. Good bar too. Friendly locals with some dogs in the bar giving it a homely feel. Room was comfortable and very clean.

Breakfast was served from 8am only and I had to leave at 0730 for a meeting at 8am. So nothing for me. The offer of some fruit or a pastry to take with me or water etc would have been good. Just a suggestion, but not a big issue.

Excellent food, friendly and helpful staff. We liked the grandeur of the hotel, its dining room, quaint bar and homely bar eating area.

Our room , 2, was small and was stuffy due to the inability to open the windows on a hot summers evening. The secondary glazing could be opened but not the main window. The room did need some attention , the door hinge was loose, the bathroom door didn't fit and the toilet seat could not be left in the open position.

I loved the location - Hovingham is picture perfect. Beautiful countryside and surroundings. The hotel, despite being a little "tired" in decor it offered old school charm. We dined in restaurant - lovely meal and lovely lively atmosphere. Excellent customer service and delicious breakfast. Best part was an excellent night's sleep!

Struggling to find anything we didn't like really. Maybe some modernisation as bedrooms were a bit outdated.

Great location, we came here because we were eating at a local Michelin star restaurant so was convenient for our needs. Hovingham is a great village and a really nice place with lots of local walks on the moors. Easy access to a large number of tourist sites from here. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was also very good though maybe lacking as much fruit as we would have wanted. Room was fine, not huge, but big enough and bed was comfortable. Decent internet access was free. There was also a pub and beer garden downstairs, we didn’t eat here but if food was same standard as breakfast we would expect it to be a decent standard.

It’s all a little dated, not unpleasant but feels like nothing has changed in many years. TV’s in the room were tiny and the bathroom fittings were dated. It was probably a little expensive for the standard compared to similar properties however location is everything so it’s not excessive considering where it is.

Good base for visiting nearby villages. Very pretty village with excellent Bakery. We asked for local walks and we're given sheets of three circular walks👍. We were also told that there was a cricket match on so went for a while. We stayed on the 2nd Wednesday of the month when local musicians (guitars and violins) have a jamming session which was excellent.

Property a bit tired and garden overgrown. I chose fish for my mains and the portion was minute, so I chose a cheesecake dessert, unfortunately also minute... even for a woman, however both were really nice.

The Worsely Arms Hotel has to be the best hotel I’ve stayed in for many years. Spotlessly clean and well-equipped rooms. The food (both dinner and breakfast) was excellent. The staff are truly wonderful, so much local knowledge and with exceptional customer care. Zack and the breakfast team, as well as the dinner service, were 2nd to none. A great choice of local beers, and local Slingby Gin(Marmalade was my favourite) all behind the bar. A great choice of single malt whiskeys as well. A lovely lounge with coal fires made the whole lounge area warm and homely. And dog-friendly too – with nice walks around the village. Some confusion about my booking on the booking website (not the hotels) – but the manager Tony was able to sort it all out. A really lovely Easter weekend.
