Room was huge and looked newly furnished. Bed was amazing and the shower excellent. Staff were lovely and helpful. Convenient location to Malton centre and ample parking. Breakfast was very nice too. View from our room over the valley was beautiful.

Some of the decor needed touching up in places and the windows are old sash type and really rattled in the wind. You also got a lot of traffic noise as it's on a busy main road, so double glazed windows would help a great deal.

The Mount is very friendly and welcoming. It is not a highly luxurious place (although the standard is plenty good enough); but it is clean, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was of very good quality. The owners and staff were friendly, welcoming and confident (which I like very much). Malton is a very nice place to spend 24 - 48 hours to boot.

Nothing really. Maybe the degree of springing of the fire door closers could be turned down a touch - they are tending towards being hard work! (Note: if this is all you can find to comment on, there ain't a lot wrong with the place.)

We liked the friendly staff at the hotel that was in a great location for shops,bars and places to eat. The hotel offered good off road parking. The room was big and spacious with a large double bed that was big enough for me who is 6ft 6 inch tall. They had a great selection of breakfast choices including a nice option of cooked breakfast choices.

The Mount was a very good hotel which was good value for money. They have a bar on site which we used once but sadly we wanted to go more often but it was closed therefore we went to other places that served drinks and food.

We chose this place as it was about halfway between Flamingo Land and Castle Howard, so it was only a 15 min drive to each place. Breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely. There was car parking on site. Our child’s bedroom was in a separate room within our suite. Bath was nice.

The bathroom didn’t have a light you could turn on/off, it just turned on as soon as you opened the door. This meant using bathroom in middle of night meant you had to be in total brightness and that sometimes in the middle of using the bathroom, the lights would suddenly switch off.

The Mount was very convenient for me location wise having to get to an event in Goathland on Saturday with a bus leaving at 0915 and easy walking to get that. On arrival I got a good reception from the bar staff and in the morning got very good service at breakfast.

The facilities were very good but the only thing was that the bathroom had automatic lighting connected with the door acting as a switch. A note to explain this would have been appreciated but a very minor issue.

The rooms were spotlessly clean and filled with natural light, while the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight: a delicious full English served in an elegant room with a high ceiling, handsome Chesterfield chairs, and charming, whimsical paintings of dogs in military attire adorning the walls.

Parking was a bit of a squeeze, but we managed to fit in—thankfully, our car is compact!

Location on edge of the market was great, the family run hotel was relaxed and the bar popular with locals. Breakfast was to order and perfect. Nice sausages and granary bread. We asked for a fan, and were given one, the weather was hot.

A little more attention to detail on cleaning would help and when the hotel is fully done up/ completed in renovations it will be great

Second visit - parking is an issue if you arrive after 5 as it was last time Second floor room a hike with bags The room is clean but Spartan and quite cold. A few pictures would make a difference - it feels bare minimum We had a long wait to order our breakfast but to be fair when it came it was quite quick and very well cooked

Clean comfortable if basic refurbished accomodation..Staff were very friendly and welcoming..Breakfast was limited if you did not want a cooked meal but otherwise more than adequate and well cooked.It is homely unpretentious and a little cheaper than other hotels in Malton of which there are few.

Nothing..except maybe limited parking but there is plenty of public parking nearby

Location was great to visit the older part of town . Parking was right outside. Room was comfortable and large with small table and 2 chairs to relax . Breakfast was good and one evening meal here was fine. Little choice for non meat eaters .

More non meat meals .Shower cubical was small so for someone less able to bend or someone who needs more room for any reason it would have been very difficult.
