The staff were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Even with things like filling our water bottles before going out for the day. The rooms were lovely, could do with a little updating, but it didn't spoil the stay. Lots of character from an old farm style building. The rooms were spotless, the bathrooms were fine, we had no problems. Had plenty towels and things like teabags and milk etc. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of pillows and an extra blanket. We had 2 rooms. Room out front directly above a main road, but it didn't stop me from sleeping. The back room was very quiet. Food in the pub was delicious. It gets very busy so booking a table is a must. You can't hear noise from the bar on the nighttime. Breakfast was excellent. There were plenty of choices of cooked options and cereal for the kids. Excellent place in a very good location. Very close to Eden camp and Flamingo Land. Not far from York itself. Excellent value for money

The only thing i can think of is that the heating was on overnight, so it was very warm. Once windows were opened, it was fine.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended having food. My son had a stake and I had the risotto. We also had puddings and took them back to our rooms. The rooms are basic, but no complaints as the rooms don't cost much. Eden camp is only a 3 minute drive and the centre is around a 7 minute drive.

Extremely disappointed to find on arriva,l they no longer have the pool table and darts. This was the reason for booking the stay. I have a teenage son and thought this would be good to keep him entertained. I would suggest removing the photos from the gallery.

We stayed at Wentworth Arms for two nights so I could fulfil my son's dream of visiting Flamingo Land. The pub was delightful, and our room was comfortable. Everyone was extremely pleasant and attentive. The food was delicious and just perfect! It truly was an ideal venue, and I highly recommend it for its food, friendly atmosphere, and peaceful night's sleep. Thank you to everyone at Wentworth Arms for making our adventure a perfect one! 💐

Dinner and breakfast were excellent. All staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, comfortable and spotless. Plenty of parking. Great location for bus service into Malton and local attractions.

The showerhead in the bathroom of room 4 could do with a clean as not much water came out. Also a draught excluder in the bathroom, to keep out the very fusty smell coming from the adjoining attic. If possible a door to keep out the kitchen smells from escaping up the stairs.

The home cooked evening meals served in the bar area were first class! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The deserts all home made were excellent, really delicious. Prices were so reasonable. Thoroughly enjoyed both our evening meals.

Breakfast was served between 8-9am, we would have preferred to be able to come down for 9am as we were on holiday. The breakfast room was a little cold, not literally, compared to the evening ambience. The en-suite was a little tired with some floor tiles cracked etc, just tired but absolutely very clean. Just needed a little updating.

Food was exceptional & reasonably priced. Room comfortable & clean. Staff were great. Breakfast was really good. Small bar area but you could tell that it's run in a great way & the locals love it. We stayed here to use as our base as we were going to flamingo land & a sneaky trip to Scarborough & would highly recommend to others.

We had a separate private bathroom which was fine. Shower pressure wad poor but to be honest it done the job. Would prefer to maybe have a holder/shelf to put soap & shampoo on.

The breakfast was good, the evening pub-meals very good and good value. The staff were Yorkshire-friendly and attentive. If we had been there a few days longer, we fancied the bus ride from right outside the door over the North York Moors to Whitby. It was near enough to walk to our destination, Malton, but again there was a bus stop just across the road.

This is a small, rambling, building that is very old but has grown in various directions, and there were narrow corridors and odd sets of stairs to get to our room. The room did what was necessary, functional and clean but it wasn't the Ritz, and none the worse for that.

The location was good. The staff very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. Stayed to ride the North York Moors Railway. The best priced accommodation within easy reach of the railway.

The WiFi didn't work well in my room but OK when I sat in the bar. Seemed to be recently decorated but the finish in some places let it down. Problems with the control of the heating. It was jammed on. They switched of the heating but may be a problem in the winter if not fixed.

Friendly, helpful staff from morning until evening. Amazing food at breakfast (included), and the evening meal we bought in the pub. So close to Eden camp (10 mins walk) and flamingo land (20 min bus ride, bus stop just outside pub).

The shower wasn't the best, and a couple of sockets didn't work, but it was manageable and didn't spoil our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, quaint little pub with cozy rooms. You have to appreciate it is an old building so some things are more rustic and it will have single pane windows, meaning traffic can be a little noisy when the roads are busy, but this was to be expected. Maybe it could benefit from noise reducing curtains.. Staff were fantastic and incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble and breakfast was great. We will definitely stay again when in the area.
