5mins from the main train station and located in a very good and central area. You get a physical key as opposed to a key card. Plenty of options around in terms of cafes and restaurants, a good Carrefour supermarket is about a 2 min walk away.

A twisty windy stairs that isn't easy to lift a suitcase up, the lift goes to floor 2, my room was on floor 3. The room is small enough for a single room but clean, and the bed is very comfortable I have to say. You will need to a/c on in summer otherwise it's like an oven. For me the breakfast isn't worth it, there are better options in the vicinity.

1: Location. Perfect for both the city center (Place de Comedie) and for the San Roch train station. 2: Air Conditioning. Worked great especially during a heat wave (high 30s C / high 90s F). 3: Room has a mini fridge and I got a kettle from the front desk. Life’s good! 4: Staff. Everyone was lovely! Thank you!

The minor negatives would not stop me from staying here again. Great experience overall. Room. 1: The towels and shower curtain are showing their age. 2. No wifi signal in my room but I could access downstairs.

I would totally recommend Hotel des Arts - it's very conveniently located in the centre of the town, close to the main train station (Saint-Roch) and all the tram lines. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the buffet breakfast is delicious and has a good variety without going OTT. I'd particularly recommend the hotel for those with young children - I liked the family room we had - it was a good size, with curtains between the parents' area and the kids' area. The staff were very welcoming and friendly with the kids, and there was a good selection of picture books and toys available in reception.

The only thing I would suggest would be a high chair for breakfast time

The location was pretty convenient, just across from one of the old gates of the city. The staff was absolutely the best, very friendly and helpful I had been on an overnight bus from Milan and arrived by 9am and they had a room ready, so I could have an early check in. That was great because the overnight bus wasn't the best sleep, and so I promptly too a nap for a few more hours and felt much better. Also, they tolerated my rusty French that I was slowly pulling out of my brain again after speaking in Italian for two weeks before that.

The wifi signal spotty for my room down at the end of hall, so maybe just boost that signal a bit.

Excellent location, minutes by foot from the main train station & the Place de la Comedie. Large, airy, attractive room with street view, fridge, TV, renovated bath. Friendly staff accomodated special needs

Mattresses could have been a bit firmer or thicker.

The hotel is in the city center which is great to explore. The room had enough space, and we felt comfortable being there.

It was too cold in the room. I spoke with the receptionist and told them that we are cold and he said that the AC does not have a heating option so we can only warm up with the wall radiator. We had to turn it to full volume but still we were very cold and used whatever extra blankets we could find.

so the best thing about this hotel was the staff, we had the most welcoming, smiling, chilling vibe from severely to not say all the people working there! from recommendation as to where to go to visit the city or where to have coffee and food they have been super helpful! the location is perfect, walking distance to everything, a short and cheap taxi ride from the airport!

so a couple of simple changes would have make it a perfect stay, but should not stop you from booking there as i hope they would change it once they know… please add a multi-plug on the side of the bed that has the mini fridge so both guest can charge their phone at night! simple and cheap fix !! add a soap bottle or bar by the sink, its annoying having to go to the shower to get soap! and last one may be a trash can in the bedroom instead of just the bathroom… simple and cheap fix the hotel should implement to make it a all you need accommodation!

Nice large room, good a/c. I didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that. WiFi, although unsecured, worked well. A VPN is needed for security.

There isn't really anything around the hotel as such but The Old Port area of Marseille is a short walk and plenty of restaurants and cafes are there. Staff on the whole extremely helpful.

Fantastic location in the middle of Montpellier, but tricky to get to by car. There's a giant parking lot nearby but it is expensive. Very clean, lovely staff. It's a good option for a cheaper, one night stay. No luxury, but you pay extra for that.

Uncomfortable pillows. It's a small thing that can disrupt a very big thing - sleep. Asked for rooms close together and we had rooms on different floors.

Great hospitality. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Great location, close to the city centre. Suggested for cyclists staying one or more nights in the region. Locked room for bikes on site.

Just few choices at breakfast. To be taken into account if you are in the area for hiking or cycling and you need a big breakfast in the morning.
