I had a fantastic stay at this gorgeous hotel. The decor throughout was absolutely beautiful, creating such a relaxing atmosphere. The bedroom was extremely comfortable, with a sleek and modern bathroom that felt luxurious. Everything was spotless, and the attention to detail really stood out. I had dinner in the restaurant on the first night and it was lovely. I would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to coming back

The hotel is in a stunning location, offering beautiful surroundings. That said, be mindful of the road leading to the hotel — it’s approximately two miles with potholes and sheep along the way.

Absolutely beautiful property and rooms. It was perfect for our group of 9 because we were able to have privacy while meeting up to hang out in the large communal lounge area of the hotel, where you could find drinks at the bar, some games, and cozy fires. The on-site restaurant was delicious for both breakfast and dinner and the staff was always friendly. I'd stay here again!

The location was a bit off the beaten path, so expect to take at least 40 minutes to get to any of the major sites on Skye if that is why you're visiting. Still in a beautiful area on its own though, so this wasn't an issue with us.

The setting and location was absolutely stunning a perfect place for rest and relaxation. Having the sheep roaming around the lawns was very calming and the view over the loch was stunning especially as the weather was clear sunshine and the loch like a mill pond absolutely beautiful. Fabulous walks around the area and food very good. The staff were very friendly, helpful and informative about the local area. The room was spotless, very comfortable and spacious.

The main issue was they had no lager at all on premises despite having a Stella Artois draft tap. Also only 4 bottles of IPA beer, no others available, which was slightly disappointing giving the fact that it is an upmarket hotel. We also requested a sherry or sweet dessert wine with our dessert but again there was no available, all of which are not very unusual requests so we were a little disappointing given that everything else was so perfect. It didn't distract from our holiday and is purely a note for future reference.

Beautiful spot overlooking a loch, gorgeous grounds and views. Probably the best breakfast of our entire 2 week trip in the UK.

This is not a criticism of the hotel, but if you’re driving, just make sure you leave yourself plenty of time. There was lots of road construction and slow drivers getting there, so we arrived later than expected. But it’s worth the drive! We were disappointed to not be able to have dinner at the hotel after making a reservation there, since they were short staffed and couldn’t host dinner that night. It was really too bad because the breakfast was delicious and I’m sure the dinner would have been really good as well.

We arrived to a lovely warm and friendly welcome. The hotel is a beautiful building (I believe an old hunting lodge that used to be owned by the owner of a nearby castle). The lounge areas are vast, cosy with wood panelling and a real fire. The rooms were spacious, comfortable with furniture befitting the property with modern en-suite bathrooms. You could dress as smart or as casual as you were comfortable wearing and there was a relaxed ambience. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant and the food was delicious and there was a good selection of wine and whisky. We then had drinks in the lounge areas (not that we had time but there was a selection board games you could play). The staff were very friendly and chatty and happy to be asked about nearby places to visit. Breakfast was very comprehensive (a self-service continental buffet that had the choice of fruit, a lovely banana and berry smoothie, a choice of pastries, cereals, yoghurts and then there was hot food cooked to order). I would love to return to Skye and I would definitely recommend Greshornish Hotel to anyone. It is a shame we were only staying the one night.

The road to the Hotel is quite bumpy.

Everything was so great!!! We were here with my boyfriend the evening of February 12. Amazing hotel, in an mind-blowing and peaceful place. The room was stunning. The bed extremely comfy. The room has also a beautiful big bathroom. The room and the bathroom were perfectly clean. We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel, and it was delicious. In the morning, we also had breakfast at the restaurant, it was copious and absolutely delicious as well. I even tried their delicious haggis. I asked the lady at the restaurant about that, as it was part of the breakfast and I wasn't sure if I would like it, she kindly told me that it was possible to have it on a separate plate, so I could try it. Turned out it was delicious! All the personnel here was very kind and welcoming. Thank you all for this amazing moment here. It's a place that I'll keep in my mind for my next stay on the Isle of Skye!

The hotel itself is beautiful and in a wonderful location looking over the water. Our room was very cosy, nicely decorated and exceptionally clean. We loved the lounge area downstairs with the roaring open fire - it makes the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. The choice of fresh smoothies, pastries, meat and cheese etc was brilliant and the cooked Scottish breakfast was delicious. The waitress who did both dinner and breakfast service was very attentive and hospitable.

Due to a small confusion with our room type, the check-in process was a little challenging. The situation escalated more than it needed to and the staff member who dealt with it came across as unhelpful, dismissive and unwelcoming. An unfortunate start to our stay as we loved the hotel.

Beautiful view and secluded grounds. Enjoyed watching the sheep and pheasants. The food was amazing - suiting both the meat eaters and vegetarians in the family. The lounge was cozy with a fireplace and bar next door. The family room was spacious and well appointed - the soaking tub was a delightful bonus. Everyone on staff was attentive, very friendly and welcoming.

2 miles of potholes on a single track road to get there

Greshornish House is a magnificent property and we loved our stay here. The house is stunning and beautifully renovated and appointed. The room we stayed in was great and very comfortable. The countryside is beautiful, the lochs were magical and the sheep were very cute! It is quaint, peaceful and relaxing. The staff were exceptional, very friendly, attentive and helpful. Thank you Katie and Hope. We loved sitting by the open fire and having a few drinks. We ate dinner and breakfast there and all meals were fantastic. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

A lovely, spacious room provided with robes, house slippers, nice selection of teas and coffee. Nice linens and a comfortable bed. Very large bath towels and a hot towel rack. Free large parking lot nearby. We had a nice check-in with Lindsey. We had made dinner reservations for here but they let us know ahead of time they were short staffed and they would not be serving dinner that evening. The property is immaculate clean.

No elevator and a lot of steep steps. The property is on a gravel road and is about 2 miles off the main road. We suggest guests arriving early as sheep are on the road sometimes. Because of the location, we suggest guests have dinner before arriving. We felt the property was overpriced at $435 US dollars. Our bacon was skimpy at breakfast and needed to be cooked more. I love bacon but did not eat it because it wasn't fully cooked. We were doing a six-week trip of Europe and I'm sad to say this was our least favorite breakfast. The bathroom does not have a window shade or covering. Even though the window is at the woods, there is a need for a window shade.
