Our particular room was at the very end of an alley... Very private and easy access to the side street. It was a nice size room with vaulted ceilings and a comfortable bed. We also had a side porch which came in handy since we were smokers. We were able to smoke freely without disturbing anybody else.

This room would not be for everyone. because it was right next to the side street and you heard frequent vehicle and pedestrian traffic. You could also hear noise from the club down the street. There was enough foliage on the porch to allow you to still have privacy while on the porch but the side street itself was quite busy. The AC unit was very loud and created a noise mask which is allowed us to sleep quite well. Although we had a gated entry it was too close to the front door which made it awkward getting in and out of the room but it did offer an extra layer of extra security.

It was more than expected. Excellent stay in a full unit with 2 private rooms, Very comfortable beds, linen, pillows, big rooms. Living room with coffee machine and fridge Bathroom fully equipped, including makeup remover towels. Everything was very clean. Breakfast buffet was very generous: different kinds of bread and pastries, bagels, toasters, coffee, milk, orange juice, delicious parfait, eggs, custom made waffles and fresh berries. It was great. Location couldn't be better, walking distance for all the best touristic points: Ernest Hemingway house, 0 mille, most Southern US point, beach...

The breakfast had a variety. Loved the Belgium waffles and eggs The continental breakfast is one reason we chose Duval House. I didn't want to go search for a place to eat breakfast early in the morning. It was so convenient ! The grounds and plants were beautiful and relaxing atmosphere The Staff were very helpful/nice with towel, coffee, and information The location of the Duval House was perfect for what we wanted to do I liked that I could buy a beer/or other drinks at the office Each room had its own privacy area The grounds were clean, tidy and lots of plants! To me , it was the best part of the Duval House It is a lovely little private oasis tucked away on one of the busiest streets on Key West

The pool wasn't clean...too many leaves on top and the pool didn't feel heated as the staff said Our stool had trouble flushing Shower didn't have an adjustable shower head to move around so the spray( I am short) would only hit me in the face. Very hard to rinse off and shower The refrigerator leaked water on the floor all the time we were there. Placed a towel on the floor to keep water wiped up A shutter slat was broken so people could see into the room if they wanted. Staff said they would fix it, but didn't Parking was very tight and not everyone parked there had that paper permit in their window. But we did finally find a place Overall, we liked the little room but it requires some good maintenance.

We got a friendly welcome, and a tour of the property, which has gorgeous lush tropical plants and is well maintained. The Rooms are spacious and charming. The balcony facing Duval street was great to watch the activities on Duval street. We got delicious fresh made waffles ,fruits, all sorts of bagels and a great granola yoghurt, served with a friendly chats from our breakfast ladies. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely come back. Thanks for the pleasant experience

AC was too loud.

The location was perfect, an easy walk to all main sites. The staff is friendly. The gardens are well maintained with a variety of orchids. Parking is usually available but not easy with larger cars and does cost $20 a day.

We were in room 29, a room located in the very back of the resort, not ideal. The room was next to a street that can be noisy at night. There is also a psychotic rooster next store that loves to wake everyone up starting at 4 am, sleeping is tough. The rooms vary significantly according to the location within the resort, try to stay in a room that overlooks the garden. The hot water was only luke warm. The rooms are clean but out dated.

Duval House is a wonderful little oasis in the middle of Key West. The grounds and breakfast just made for a wonderful stay that was somewhat unexpected. Being the in middle of Duval Street of course provides a prime location for walking around Key West. Also compared to other Hotels in the area I thought the price/value proposition was outstanding. I would recommend Duval House to anyone visiting Key West.

Room was beautiful and perfect for one or two persons. Nautical/beachy decor nice touch. Loved that it opened out to a patio with two wicker chairs whenever one wanted to just relax outside (usually early morning or evening.

Was unable to figure out Kreug in-room coffee machine, or it didn’t work. Duval House is gated so there is a code, one of those push buttons is hard to push, especially if hands are full. Have to put everything down and push hard. Could this be fixed?

The property is at a very good location right on the Duval street. It has lawns and gardens for relaxing and also a small outdoor pool. Breakfast is good with limited options. They also provide free drinks while checking in.

However, the rooms are of different types and if you get an attic bedroom, you need to be careful with the head hitting the roof. The washroom is too small and does not have any exhaust. I could only find out Ice Machine, but if you need only water there are none. Parking charges of $30 inside the property.

The check in was smooth and friendly. It was a bice touch that they started us out with a complimentary drink. Located on Duval street with parking was SO convenient. We parked once and didn't move it our whole stay. There was so much to do within walking distant. Our room was clean and comfortable. It had a cute little covered porch, obscured by trees and plants. It made for a lovely spot to enjoy a glass of wine and relax. Breakfast was superb! The home made yogurt was to die for! The ONLY negative is the rooster wake up call. It started about 3am. I'm pretty sure that it's just one of those Key Wrst quirks. Take the good with the bad!

The breakfast was fine. I appreciate it the yogurt and hard-boiled eggs because we prefer, as did others who we were seated with, to start our day with protein rather than carbs. That being said, I think the coffee could be a little stronger, but the waffles, with fresh berries are delicious and lovely!

The only reason that I will be somewhat hesitant to recommend the Duval House was the less than ideal cleanliness of our bath room. The sink and sink area were clean but the shower, and all of the bathroom floors had visible dust, hair (head, and other hair) when we arrived. It may not have all been there when whomever cleaned the room had finished. We have hypothesize that “maintenance” may have come in for one reason or another… Despite his being helpful by bringing refill gel for the shower, the gentleman who came was not equipped with any slip ons to put on before he stepped in our shower so whatever he had on his feet from wherever he had been before he stepped in our shower went in then too.
