The location of the hotel is excellent for exploring the old historic town which is well worth a visit, the Catholic Church is lovely and the shops are charming and it's a short walk from the railway station. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent, the maitre d'hotel is friendly and professional and he spoke excellent English and explained all the dishes patiently. I booked the single room, very small but everything was provided. The shower was on the small size but with good pressure hot water. A nice touch, the hotel provided an adapter plug in the room. The two bottles of water were very welcome. I didn't use any of the toiletries but there seemed to be supplies in the room. I loved the quaintness of the room, the lift was great. Breakfast was excellent, a nice airy room with a good selection of foods from the buffet, tea available, coffee brought to the table. The receptionist, a blonde lady, was extremely kind and nice and welcoming. The night porter was kind and helpful. I think the personnel at the hotel are really professional.

The mattress on the bed was too soft, my friend has a back problem and we had to swap mattresses but both single bed mattresses were very soft and spongy, my least favourite type. We got a guest card from the hotel in the morning which should give you free entry to certain local attractions, but the card wasn't accepted in the local museum. Although I have travelled a lot I can't fault much about this hotel. It's an old school classic hotel and I loved it.

Lovely old building in one of the oldest cities in Switzerland. Well restored and Maintained so it looks modern inside with old materials. Lovely large public areas.. very friendly staff. Comfortable beds and good breakfast. Location just in the old city yet with parking at the back.

Expensive ! Room was quite small and dark. I imagine that it could be very hot on a warm summers day. Lots of fans are the clue! Our room could only be reached by stairs which was annoying with luggage. we were surprised to see relatively large groups but they didn’t bother us as they have their own dining room. Room was quite small especially for the price.

The staff were efficient in all they did and responded to all my queries in a positive way e.g. no duvet. Special thanks to the Staff Member who printed off my return Boarding Pass (I have been refused point blank in some lesser Hotels). The little touches make all the difference, e.g. bottles of water & chocolates in the room (replenished each day). Breakfast from 0630 each morning is great and there was a good selection, with some hot food (scrambled eggs on request). Really good breakfast rolls! Around 10 minutes to Chur Station through the main shopping area. Quiet location. If you stay in room 314, beware of the two doors! This is truly a case of you get what you pay for.

I had a SMALL economy room, and yes it was small. However I did know that beforehand. The main lighting in the room was a bit subdued (needs a brighter bulb). Absolutely no other problems!!

the keys are really heavy but you can leave them at the reception desk for the day for the breakfast they chose to use already packed slices of cheese or meat, in order to avoid food waste (?), but it actually creates more from my perspective because one may not eat everything that was packed ... you need to order some items (including coffee) so if you are in a hurry this can be a problem the first day it seemed that the personnel was overwhelmed, they were trying really hard to keep up with all the people coming and going, the orders, there was bread missing for a long time... the furniture is dated and some looks really used the shower pressure is really not good

The room had almost everything on hand a traveler could need, and I enjoyed being close to both the train station and the old city. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was one of the nicest I have had in quite some time.

Breakfast didn’t quite live up to expectations. Service was speedy, and I appreciated receiving coffee and juice almost immediately. But I had hoped for a better offering of food, a bigger selection of cheese and fruit would have been appreciated.

The building seems to be a historical building and the property is quite large, I am assuming it added rooms throughout the years. I got to be on the "newer" additions. The location of the hotel is great, within walking distance from the train station and great views to the mountains. The hotel provides toiletries and it was quite a nice touch to have complimentary water (still and with gas) along with the always famous Swiss chocolates. There was complimentary fruits on the hallways near the elevator. The breakfast was a really good breakfast with lots of healthy choices and I just wish I had more time to really enjoy it. The staff was nice and friendly. They also have a restaurant which again, if I had enough time, I would have enjoyed it, it seemed that it was popular among locals. Highly recommend this hotel if you ever find yourself in Chur.

My room was in the newer part of the building. There is an elevator however there were many areas where you have to take 3 steps to go up within the corridor. Carrying a large suitcase made that challenging for me, if I was older it would have been quite difficult.

Very nice, spacious and clean room. Staff was very friendly. Parking space was included in the rate, what is very convenient, specially as the hotel is at the entrance of the old town. Unfortunately the restaurant was fully booked, so we were not able to have dinner at the hotel, but the lady at the reception was very helpful and recommended us some good options near by.

I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast. I found the options a bit limited.

A very nice location, at the edge of the old town and 5-10 min walk from the train station with very comfortable, spacious and clean rooms in the Annex Residence and with a very helpful and polite staff.

The breakfast buffet could be enriched with some hot dishes or interchangeable options to provide some variety for long staying clients. After the 3rd day it becomes a bit boring.

Charming traditional hotel. Very convenient location for the train station and the old town. Lovely breakfast. Had an evening meal in the restaurant which was excellent as was the service.

The single room I was in was what I expected from the description but it really was small. I was only there for a night but I would have found it a bit too cramped if I'd be there for longer or in very warm weather but it did have everything you needed. There was a very thin mattress on top of the bed which kept slipping off if you moved - it wasn't uncomfortable but it was annoying.

I liked the traditional feeling of the reception and common areas, and the hotel was close to Chur's attractions in the old town. The view of the rooftops out my 4th floor window was very nice.

So the hotel appears to have two halves, and I was staying in the section across the street, which I'm not sure was quite as nice as what the pictures show. The food was good for dinner and breakfast, but admittedly not as good as the other hotels where I stayed on my trip.
