The reception staff I interacted with on arrival, greeted me with a friendly, respectful and engaging smile. I waited 30 minites before I was told my room was ready; but I learnt later it was ready long before 3pm! - Why do hotels continue this mean customer practice and deception !! My room -613- was worth paying an extra £4 for the quiteness and end of corridor position. I had good views towards the east of East Croydon station and Crystal Palace areas. The settee in the room was a bit grubby, but the bed and pillows were comfortable/clean. The tv channels were easy to nagivate with the remote control. The bathroom towels and general upkeep was good, except for small pokets of accumulated rust in the shower door hinges. My 3rd stay. Overall, it was comfortable. I would stay again because of the location, easy access to East Croydon rail station, car pay parking facility opposite, plus 10 minutes walk to the main shopping streets....and 15 minutes walk to West Croydon rail station and many bus routes.

Tables and chairs in the communal lounge are dated and needs cleaning or upgrading. Windows in rooms need cleaning. No small fridge in the room to keep things like dietary food/medicines cool. This is 2025, not the 1980s!

The entire experience was top-notch, from the beautiful, well-maintained rooms to the impeccable amenities. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Manoj, in particular, made my stay even more special. His kindness and professionalism were beyond impressive. He was always ready to help, whether it was with a quick question or arranging something more personal. His attention to detail and genuine care made me feel like a VIP throughout my entire visit. I highly recommend this hotel, not only for its fantastic facilities but also for the incredible staff like Manoj, who truly elevate the experience. I’ll definitely be back!

Perfect location for seeing London flying in to Gatwick. I stayed there a few days before and a day after a cruise. Close to train station so easy access to all London. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Adequate breakfast spread and also a nice (limited)dinner menu if don’t want go out to the several nearby restaurants. Facility very clean. Only complaint was wi-fi was a little spotty in the room

Wi-fi a little spotty in the room. Primary staff - desk and bar area was excellent and went out of their way to help (Minoj) but did one night a different crew was there and service level dropped noticeably.

I liked that Manoj was being very helpful and accommodating. On Saturday's the breakfast starts at 7:30am but I had to leave the hotel just after 7am. Manoj packed my some croissants, muffins, apples and drink that I could take away with me. Also, on Sunday after I checked out, he was being very helpful, while I was waiting for my Uber to the airport. I also liked that the staff changed my room very quickly when I informed them that I needed a room with a fixed desk. I ordered the Lamb Shank on Sunday nice, and that was delicious. :-)

I would have preferred if the breakfast could have been served earlier on the weekends, such as 6:30 or 7:00. I understand that breakfast is served at 7:00am on weekday.

From the moment we reached the hotel, we were exceptionally taken care of by the staff and all our requirements and preferences were met beyond expectations. Garima handled every matter brought to her attention promptly and effectively and always with her beautiful and comforting smile, During breakfast time, our day always started with that wonderful feeling of well being thanks to Manoj who is the Champion of the place, We often wondered how he could manage to spread such high spirits and kindness to every single person, He is definitely the treasure of the hotel, A special note of appreciation to Rita who always ensured that we were comfortable and who was always attentive to our habits and preferences, Thank you Hampton by Hilton. Location and proximity to East Croydon train station was very good. Efficient check in with France - all my questions were answered, For the first time in my life I received text messages from Garima checking how our room was and highlighting if I needed anything to let it be known. Our room was spotlessly clean and we extend a massive thank you to Daniela. I Space was well utilised - area to hang our coats which was a clever use of wall space. The decor was tasteful and we could navigate the space well due to the layout. Manoj was an absolute superstar. From an initial conversation during breakfast, he could not do enough for us. F Breakfast was good and even though very busy, there was hardly any wait time. Staff take pride in their work and it was evident that they enjoy working here.

Nothing - we needed a longer stay

Pleasant staff. Breakfast was very good, staples but also varied and allowances made for vegans. The staff were pleasant especially the breakfast staff, Manos was very helpful and went out of his way to ensure that we were happy and had everything we needed, also the lady waitress who was on most days was helpful ensuring we had everything we need. Comfortable bed, clean room, good location.

Room was a bit small, ok for a night or two but if you had a reasonable amount of luggage a bit tight, also one side of the bed was narrow.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Manoj and Asif for their exceptional hospitality and dedication. Their kindness, professionalism, and constant willingness to help made a real difference during my stay. They went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met with care and efficiency. We walked into reception and were welcomed by a warm reception staff. The ambience was generally ok and our room was very clean. The biggest driver for my positive review is the experience at breakfast, the staff (Manoj and Rita) were exceptional! They made sure we had all we needed and more. Rita encouraged us to try their waffle which she went and made for us, brought it to our table and engaged us in a chat.....which we really enjoyed. The waffle was amazing.......Rita would not give the recipe away though, she said it was their chef's. Manoj came to our table and asked if we would like some juice, he went and brought the drinks........the sheer willingness to go the extra mile was palpable. Now this is a "serve yourself" buffet set up, the staff didn't need to wait on us but these guys went the distance, the smiles, the warmth.........our day could have started better. All in all, a great experience for not a lot of money. Thanks guys.

hmm.....a difficult one. Ok, I wish the shower head was bigger and higher up. I struggled to get under the shower and I am only 5'10.

The Property : Easy access from the East Croydon main railway station. ( walking) The Room met expectations in terms for hygiene standards and quietness as requested. The location is on a one way road system making it a quiet location .

Arriving after a long journey , a check in time of 3:00 pm is challenging. In addition there is only instant coffee on offer . One has to check in, unpack,and then leave this lovely setting for a noisy coffee shop with relatively poor service impacts once first impression of the hotel’s senior management who have made the choice.
