We arrived late and had an easy after hours check in process. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. We took a little walk in the morning and discovered the excellent Essex Shipbuilding Museum--Don't miss it! Coincidentally, we took a ride on the Schooner, Ardelle, (Maritime Gloucester) the night before and discovered it was built right next door to the museum by HA Burnham. A great package tour for the weekend.

We had a room right on the main road, but given the late reservation and late arrival it was totally understandable. The road was quiet through the night; the street noise began after 7:30 AM.

Wonderful historic home located within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Beautifully appointed room with all amenities . Loved the double shower heads in the modern bathroom. King bed was so comfortable and smelled fabulous. Loved sitting by the gas fireplace with my morning coffee and evening wine. The owner was very helpful. Very good restaurant next door owned by the Inn.

No breakfast. Not many options in the area within walking distance for a simple breakfast. Had to wait until 10 or 11 am for brunch at restaurants close by

The Inn room was a good size and had a lovely shower. The queen bed was very comfortable. The beautiful wide plank floors brought a feel of old century style.

The steps leading up to our room are higher than usual, so I don’t recommend for anyone with knee difficulties. I hope there’s air conditioning in the summer as it was a warm day and opening the windows you could hear the cars on the main road.

No breakfast was offered but We used the microwave and refrigerator to have simple breakfasts in the room and used the keurig coffee machine with our preferred kpods from home.

No usb ports for our Fitbit’s to charge. The two chairs by the fireplace were very low without arms and hard to get up from.

This hotel is so adorable. We stayed in the main house, which was built in the 1780s. It had some original features, but was nicely updated. The bathroom was great. The bed was comfortable. The location was far enough away from Salem to allow for quiet nights, but close for a drive or a train ride.

No breakfast no icemaker staff not always available. Very old building with very luxurious remodeling of rooms. Outside porch very nice. Entrance stairs pretty steep.

The location of this Inn is outstanding. We loved sitting on our private deck, or down by the river on a lounge chair, and watching the boats on the Essex River. Beautiful!

Location!! Gorgeous river view from the deck! Really nice bathroom/shower. Nice ambiance!!

The mattress was a bit soft for us! The inside stairs were very steep!! - we used outside entrance.

The beautifully renovated historic inn has lots of charm. It has all the amenities while maintaining the historic feel of the period. The bathroom and shower are luxurious and spacious. Cleanliness is obviously a priority here and much appreciated by this guest.

I initially had a concern that it was situated close to the road, but it was quieter than I anticipated. I bring a white noise machine and I had a restful sleep.

Our room in the Inn building had a great view of the Essex River salt marsh. The room was very clean.

We were happy with everything.
