I booked into the hotel for 4 nights, for a conference being held at the University. From the moment we checked in, all of the staff were friendly and courteous, providing helpful information on several occasions. Our room was at the end of a very long corridor, with a stunningly heavy door. It was impossible to drive my wheelchair into the room directly, or to back into the room, because the corridor was too narrow to turn my chair to back straight in. It was necessary for me get out of my chair in the corridor (I am an ambulant wheelchair user), for my husband to fold down my chair to bring it into the room. The room was not large, so it was not possible to keep my wheelchair assembled in the room. Otherwise, the room was comfortable, and the disabled bathroom was suitably equipped. Breakfast was excellent, with numerous good choices for breakfast every day. As a wheelchair user, I would request that some of the dishes be placed at counter level, rather than on the shelves above the counter, so that I did not always need to request assistance to serve myself. Other than that, breakfast was delicious. Even when busy, the buffet was well stocked and kept neat. Parking was available at the hotel for a fee, in a small courtyard of the hotel. Alternatively, the hotel is located immediately next to the railway station (but, somehow, is very quiet). The location was not ideal for going to the University, but Uppsala is a small city, it is easy to get around, whether one is walking, driving, or using public transit.

We had real problems with the Wi-Fi in our room. The entire time we were there, we had limited or no access to the Wi-Fi in our room. Whether this was because we were at the very end of a long corridor, and the Wi-Fi was based near reception, I have no idea, but it was somewhat frustrating when we both had work to do. We could either do it in the lobby/breakfast room area or not at all.

The service was fantastic. Positive people with the right attitude and accommodating to the limits. Very professional. Staff made sure to prepare an extra bed for the kid. Hotel room very decent, breakfast was amazing (except one aspect adressed below), and gym and sauna were clean and top! Liked the fact that it was open 24/7 so could go whenever it suited my schedule. On this occassion experience was way better than competing place on the other side of the train tracks at which I stayed right after.

First I would totally come back. But my hope is that by that time they will offer established combinations of coffee with milk for breakfast, like cappuccino. Access to black coffee is fine (and a human right in Sweden too) but sometimes you just need that milky foam to your breakfast.

I liked everything. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The bathroom was well organised equipped and very clean. You were able to control your owon airconditioning, which made the room very comfortable. It was very quiet. It was good to have breakfast until 11am and the breakfast had everything you could wish for and the breakfast staff were polite and helpful. We also made use of the free bikes which was an added bonus. Upsalla is a wonderful place to visit, with so much to see and lovely retuarants. We only had two days and would have liked to have stayed longer. We will certainly be back and will stay at this hotel again. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so amazing.

Nothing

The hotel is super close to the central train and bus station. Overall, it is modern and clean, including the room and, importantly, the bathroom – both spacious. There is also an excellent breakfast buffet. However, the best is the staff... amazingly friendly and helpful! I loved it! *BTW... the Lufthansa crew apparently likes it as well :-)

... except for the beds ;-) I have a bit of a back problem, and the mattress/bed combo didn't work for me. Anyway, I survived.

The hotel was incredibly clean and well-maintained, which made my stay very comfortable. I had a room on the 6th floor facing the courtyard, which was wonderfully quiet, even that is so close to the mainstation. The location is perfect, with the city center just a few minutes walk away, making it easy to explore all the attractions Uppsala has to offer. The breakfast was simply outstanding, offering a wide variety of options that left nothing to be desired. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Uppsala!

The rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was really good, a lot of options. It was a good location, staff were friendly and helpful.

The bathroom flooded with every use of the shower. When the room was serviced the bathroom bin, although full, was not emptied... and they forgot to give us more toilet paper. The room was overlooked by offices so we felt we had to keep the curtains closed! But honestly these are just small issues and we'd definitely stay again.

Good breakfast, good location close to the train station (3 minutes walk). Plenty of nice options for breakfast, some nice choices for vegetarians. Very good pillows and the bed was also comfortable. Very friendly and useful staff at the hotel reception, probably the best I have experienced in the last years of travelling all over the world.

I do not know if this applies to other hotels in the area, but you cannot open windows to get fresh air. Fresh air is provided through ventilation, I am not a fan of this.

A modern, well managed hotel with all you would expect from this class of hotel. The room was not particularly fancy, but had all I needed - a desk, comfortable bed, wardrobe, minibar and a coffee table (plus a view of the trainstation). It seemed in a pristine condition, perfectly clean. Soundproofing of the room is perfect - the hotel is just outside a train station, but you hear no noise inside. Staff was efficient, breakfast OK (the choice was not overwhelming, but adequate).

Not much to complain about, I was happy with the hotel The wifi worked well, but sometimes a bit slow. The breakfast room was a bit crowded around 7:30, because of a conference in the hotel, but I could always find a place.

great hotel, stayed here multiple times in the past years. Always good service and quality for money. Love the pub on the ground floor.

There was an technical problem with the air-condition. The hotel indicated that there was an error in the system and that the mechanic was working on a solution. Just bad luck during this stay, previous visits were great
