Emma, manager responded to my queries before we arrived very promptly, efficiently and helpful. they allow us to check in slightly early upon arrival. The room was very well equipped with white company shampoo conditioner, body wash, handwash and hand lotion! there was shower caps beautiful white towels and bath robes. The shower was easy to work and the fittings were solid-they so often feel like they’re about to fall off the wall in other places. There was loads of tea coffee a great kettle Nespresso machine and cafeteria as well as lovely BORDER biscuits which were replaced daily loads of milk both normal and soya The restaurant was fantastic innovative menu spoilt for choice with both starters and main course and didn’t even manage to get to the desert! Would definitely book again breakfast is serve yourself in a homely dining room upstairs more than adequate continental breakfast choice. With high-quality cereals by Dorset cereals, lovely yoghurt, sourdough and croissant with little jars of Tiptree jams, marmalade, peanut butter and marmite and lashings of tea and coffee as one would expect in in Eton not something you frequently say in UK but the air-conditioning was very welcome! Short walk across the bridge to Windsor, Windsor Riverside Station and Windsor and Eton Central Station, with fast direct trains to central London

It was a very casual serve yourself buffet style with everything to provide a tasty breakfast and I had the choice of having a full cooked breakfast if I required it in the restaurant downstairs. Everything was of a high quality and a large communal table had been set very tastefully ready for visitors to enjoy their breakfast.

There was a problem with the toilet - the seat was loose, a fitting had become unattached and it did not flush very efficiently. The toilet roll holder also was very loose. I was assured all of these problems would be resolved quickly! However as I asked for a room with the least stairs to climb( as I recently had a bad fall) and I was grateful for the more practical location of the room, I did not complain but explained that it was getting worse each time I used it.

Really good location with free parking which is 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. Staff very friendly, bed was very comfy and room decent size. Coffee/tea facilities in room were good. Continental breakfast supplied was a perfect way to start the day and yummy. Literally less than 5 minutes walk to the River Thames and 10 minutes walk to the centre. Would definitely return here if we visited again.

Not the hotels fault but a party being held at a venue at the back of the hotel was quite loud till early hours in the morning (4am) which I can only describe as a man acting out as a cow (very random). However it would not sway my judgement on returning but maybe something hotel owners should pick up with rear residents over noise curfews. Hopefully this was a one off occasion for you.

We were given an upgrade to an apartment type room it was lovely all the facilities and more. It’s in a great location to the castle and every thing and quiet which is good definitely be back. But if your travelling to see the castle be warned it’s closed tuesday and Wednesday we never got to see it sadly 😞

The bar restaurant etc was closed Monday which I didn’t realise but it wasn’t a problem we had our own key to come and go and there was plenty to do elsewhere

Great location. Excellent restaurant food. Very clean. Large and comfy room. Paid parking for one car in nearby car park. .

The stairs. My knees aren't great! If you're fit and healthy it's not an issue. Even to get to the first floor some visitors will struggle. Not sure this is mentioned when booking. There was nobody there to give the key and parking permit to and nowhere obvious that they should be put. Could be taken by someone dishonest. A secure box would be best.

Location was great. Staff very responsive to the problems we met on arrival, bent over backwards to make our stay pleasurable. We had paid for parking but the local authority had not provided the hotel with the ticket so Gilbey's took it off our room charge.

There is no elevator and it is an old building with very tight space/stairs. We had heavy bags but the manager was very kind and insisted on helping bring up the cases. One room had a shower issue and we were moved to the suite at no extra charge so in the end everything was well resolved by management.

I was shocked to get there and find out the bar was closed and doors locked. No one had told me they would be closed on the Monday I was coming. Very disappointed the bar was not available for our use , since that was part of the reason we booked there. Also people need to be aware of how steep the stairs are with luggage.could not get good hot water. The place is beautiful but felt cheated when we arrived that it was locked up and bar closed.

Excellent location and high quality / comfortable room. Accommodation also included a self service continental breakfast and free parking in a nearby car park.

This is very minor, but in essence the breakfast was virtually self catering and we were allocated 1 slice of bread and one croisssant, and could only find a decafinated coffee option in the kitchen breakfast room.

The room was charming and comfortable with excellent amenities: 1. Lovely tea, coffee and snacks 2. Very nice bathroom supplies 3. Comfy bed 4. Handy desk with very good wifi on our floor (upstairs had some trouble) 5. Lots of outlets 6. Such a great location on a wonderful little street with shops, and so close to Windsor castle and Eton!

Two small things: 1. There was no lift, so can be troublesome for a lot of heavy luggage. 2. The shower in my room was pretty small.

The staff made us very welcome and allowed us to get our room early as we had a castle tour booked at 3pm. The room was very nice and having a bath made the difference for the wife. Plus good quality shower gel etc available too. Good selection of teas and coffees. We recommend you book a seat in the restaurant when you first arrive, as the food is excellent and the restaurant busy (but not noisy) luckily for us the staff were able to offer us a table on the 1st night due to a cancellation. The hotel is ideally suited for visiting Windsor and Eton, with a carpark near by.

The hotel now offers breakfast at an additional cost to your stay, the breakfast was lovely, but you have to pay extra for tea orange juice etc.
