We have stayed before. While the room is basic it completely suits our requirements. We can park the car and it is a short pleasant walk along the river to the centre of Windsor. The proprietor is very friendly and accommodating.

Nothing not to like

I was travelling with my two boys - it was great to have 3 separate comfortable beds. The hotel is close to town and affordable. The staff were very friendly and reasonable.

Amazing carparking! Despite a 15GBP carpark fee, it was well worth it! Great bedding configuration for 3 people. Staff were very helpful. Location was awesome for walking into Windsor and Windsor Castle. 24hr Reception access made life very easy.

Shower was a little temperamental but worked well once we figured it out. Could do with some hooks on wall in bathroom to hang clothes while showering.

I had a very late check in as it was a work trip. The team called me an arranged which room I was in, and told me where to find a key and all the access details. It's was very smooth. Room was clean and comfy. Excellent value for a night sleep. Would stay again.

Rooms are very dated, and shower was a little under whelming. Parking was cash only.

Met by very friendly man at reception. Whole place was clean. Bedding very fresh and beds very comfortable. Complimentary toiletries in the bathroom.

The bed was a small single but very comfortable. The room was also small but had a shower, washbasin, WC flat screen TV 2 small drawer cabinets, chair and tea-making facilities. A hair dryer was available from reception. The New Oscar is approximately 200m from Windsor Castle and 6 minutes drive to the racecourse.

Parking was £15/night, a little higher than average outside London. However, it was secure.

Close to Legoland and short walk to Windsor town centre. The room was spacious, shower nice and powerful with a bath for my little boy who hates showers. The hosts very friendly. Car was safe in the carpark at the back for entire stay. Would definitely recommend and use again.

This hotel suited my needs exactly as I wanted simple, affordable accommodation within walking distance of the theatre and train station. The walk along the river to town was lovely.

Location. Wonderful price for a basic, clean room. What more do you need when you spend so little time in the room and the rest of the time exploring. Staff were exceptional with advising how to commute via train to London. Easy 15 minute walk to the train station and to the palace.

Stairs were a bit of a climb.

Staff was nice helpful and kind. We liked the room a lot it has comfy beds and high ceilings which we absolutely loved. It was quiet and comfortable.
